No, we did not. The purpose of this video was more a quick demonstration of our products than a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to topping off your hydraulic steering fluid. However, we will definitely add this type of video to our ideas list.
What do I do to bleed it….when I don’t have a plug at my helm?? Do I do it straight thru the pump?? I hate that I don’t have it at the helm to make it easier

I have a 94 angler and I have to turn the wheel numerous times for it to start turning. Could this be fixed with some hydraulic steering fluid ?
It looks like your hydraulic fluid is not enough. There must be a leakage on your hydraulic fittings, you may need to check them.
Will it stop steering if low? Ty
Does it matter what kind of power steering fluid?
We strongly recommend a hydraulic steering fluid specifically formulated for marine environments, such as Seachoice P/N 28423.
What about 2 helms? Go to flybridge? Or do both?
Do a quick web search for SeaStar's fill and purge instructions. Their PDF instruction sheet covers single and twin helms with one or two cylinders. Good luck!
On a bayliner the same where we can fill it?
Please check with the owners manual. Some vessels have remote fills or are serviced from behind.
How falten should I top off my steering system.
As long as no leakage, then you may not need to top off.
So how to you avoid overfilling?
We recommend you pour very slowly to avoid accidental overfilling and spills.
It seems like if the fill stops taking fluid and you turn the wheel to siphon/pump the remaining hose fluid in, that it would overfill it. Maybe there is an air gap that we are filling by doing that?
