It seems like it’d be cool for a special effect. I don’t know that I’d use it in place of simply getting more singers or having one singer sing some parts.
+kraznet It's a simple setting: Preferences -> Editing -> Project&Mix Console -> Enlarge Selected Track. Click 'Apply' to save the change and you're good to go.
One question: Is it correct that the chord track is muted??? I don't think so. I hear no difference when you step through the different voicing options. Maybe because of the muted chord track...
it's not necessary to mute / unmute. this process require chords track to generate harmonies. harmonies will be generated according to chords and playing styles you select in chord track.
+Simone Mauro Ghilardi Do you mean have a live harmony function? I think this way makes more sense for recording because you are always changing things as the recording progresses. The harmonies could even be an after thought. You would also need to have them turn on and off live.
+MrFlagon Ha ha. Of course. I do mention at the end that you can simply use the suggestions as... suggestions and sing the suggested harmonies yourself. You would be amazed at the number of great singers out there who cannot come up with harmonies. I guess they spend a lot of their time singing a melody so harmony is second nature. You can also turn the suggested harmonies into a lead sheet and print them off in the score window. I guess a lot of what you can do in a DAW (like program drums for instance) you could do with a real drum kit. But this way, we can go a lot further in the development of the song without the need for a drummer and singer there in the room to progress. None of us create 'real' reverbs anymore:)
+Andy Schrav Its a powerful tool it will really help me explore all options opens up alot of doors I use to work with a back u singer she had a powerful voice but was somtimes tone deaf cause she couldnt hear fully in her right ear when we would get her to do a melody she'd either be spot on or way off but after recording I realised that she was actually doing these obscure harmonies and then the lead singer would forget his original melody and start doing hers quite strange this tool woulda been great at the time to let them understand what was going on
Beardy has done it again. Awsome tutorial. I love the pace he works at. He never talks to much. His pace is brilliant.

How do you mange to auto track zoom? I notice as soon as you select the track it zooms vertically and the others collapse.

+Peter van den Berg Sorry Peter, do you want to see the voicing on each track?

Hello, VariAudio is available since Cubase 5 this videos where created with Cubase Pro 8.
미쳣네..
man that sounds terrible. i bet it's a cool feature but in this example this function is just useless
Why not "Record Vocal Harmonies" straight away?

Cubase does it really well but it is such a bad technique...Please people... just record the different voices.
another way to generate vocal harmonies is to sing them...sorry
