Oh...MyGOD!!! Which is a much more polite exclamation than when I heard the result of a couple clicks. WOW. Blows the living hell out of Image-Line's Pitcher plugin, for sure. That is incredible! SO glad I moved from FL to Cubase!
Thanks Greg. You answered why I could not get a part to move sometimes and why I could not get all the harmony parts to appear in the editor at the same time. You are always a big help. Thanks. And it was nice to meet you at the AES in NYC. Have a great day.
Cool !!! I didn't know about this colouring option. Two other tipps: better produce the additional voices only one at a time and change the settings a little bit. And choose different colours for each voice - so you can differenciate between these in the editor if you want to control your voice leading later..
Greg you are a wealth of information and I am very grateful for your videos. Some of the best quality on You Tube. I am having one particular issue. In my Vari-audio my squares are always red, regardless of whether I am in tune or not. How can I change them so they are colored green, blue etc for in and out of tune. You will be doing me a massive favor if you could give me a tip. Thank you kind sir.
Hello Greg, thanks for the video. I did all the steps but when I go to the AUDIO option, the GENERATE HARMONY VOICES is in grey color and I cannot select it. It's unavailable. :( Any answers for that?? Thank you!
And then ... whoever does the singing can learn the harmonies and make it more human Damn, that program!!! :D Can you use the Hermode Tuning in Cubase for audio or is that only MIDI?
How you do it? After I left click to select an event, I right click as you point in the video but that selection menu ( where you select to "Chord Track") does not pop out in cubase 11 pro. Can you please tell me if I'm missing something?
That's a great tip. I'm just curious if these are features that were inspired by melodyne? I've never used melodyne, only Antares really and actually after learning a few of the things Variaudio can do have just been using that. Yes, to agree with everyone, Cubase is great! I've been using it since 3.5 when it had just began being called Cubase VST for windows 95! haha!!...awesome, thanks!
Hello, great tips, thank you so much. Two questions, Is it possible to do the same with midi source ? And / or is it possible to generate harmony and send them into a VSTi ?
Question: Problem selecting all 3 tracks to display in the editor. When I right click my mouse I do not get the menu you show with the range selection tool. I only get a small toolbar with the symbols just like the one on the top menu. Help?
Thank you! I am a keyboard player and vocalist wanting to record my work but I have only used Audacity in the past. I am taking a look a Cubase as a beginner so can you tell me which version this tutorial is please? Many thanks.
when i highlight all tracks to change the chord setting to "Off" it only changes one track and not all the track's settings to "off". How do i get cubase to set all tracks settings the same once they are all highlighted. I tried selecting all (both the audio clip and actual track channel) but nothing worked.
I use various audio in Cb 9.5 a lot. But I have a problem... I can not hear single note when editing vocals in Various audio. If I click a S button it works. But when I click a single note with a mouse can't hear a sound of it. There must be an option but I can't find it. Acoustic feedback is on... Can You help me?
Hello, on the following article you will find the solution to your problem: www.steinberg.net/nc/en/support/knowledgebase_new/show_details/kb_show/no-sound-on-the-mediabay-preview.html
hello Greg, on pc when you right click it shows basic menu not like yours, how do we see that same menu set up @1:02? I was trying to figure out how to create chord track based on selected track.
hey Greg, does cubase le 9.5 elements have vocal harmony in it. because I'm not seeing anything when i analyse the vocal. it does not have variaudio. press help
When I try to generate harmonies, the generated harmonies sounds like they have been transposed like 1 or 2 Octaves, like Mickey Mouse...How does that happen?
the video was quite useful but i dont prefer others for cubase harmony generator.... better go with HARMONY ENGINE by ANTARES. perfectly does and sounds really natural.... i was too using cubase stocked harmony generator but that sounds so unreal and something like ghosty and scary harmonies..
Stunning information!
Oh...MyGOD!!! Which is a much more polite exclamation than when I heard the result of a couple clicks. WOW. Blows the living hell out of Image-Line's Pitcher plugin, for sure. That is incredible! SO glad I moved from FL to Cubase!

I've been doing harmonies old school, just recording takes, this could speed up my work time alot thank you!

Thanks Greg👍👍

Is it possible to have from cubase suggestion of Chords to any given melody?
Which version of cubase provide this feature? Cubase 5? Or cubase 9 and above?
That's a great tip. I'm just curious if these are features that were inspired by melodyne? Hi, this is included in the Pro version of Cubase.
Question: Problem selecting all 3 tracks to display in the editor. When I right click my mouse I do not get the menu you show with the range selection tool. I only get a small toolbar with the symbols just like the one on the top menu. Help?
Hi, you can change that on the preferences, or just use CMD + Click or Ctrl + click if you are on a PC>
hi when I right click on the track I'm not getting the same menu as you
me neither
hey Greg is there a specific place where we can ask questions or we just write in the comments section of any youtube videos?
Hi, you can find that information in the description of any Club Cubase Google Hangout video ;)
Thank you! I am a keyboard player and vocalist wanting to record my work but I have only used Audacity in the past. I am taking a look a Cubase as a beginner so can you tell me which version this tutorial is please? Many thanks.

Is it possible for the color code to appear when working with midi only?
The colors work the same way for MIDI as well.

Hello, VariAudio is only available in the Pro version of Cubase.
Cubase thank you
When I try to generate harmonies, the generated harmonies sounds like they have been transposed like 1 or 2 Octaves, like Mickey Mouse...How does that happen?
Is that also possible in 9 pro or just 9.5..?
Works in 9 as well.
Not available in Cubase Elements 8
Can this be done with a guitar track
If it is only one voice it is possible. Unfortunately VariAudio still doesn't support harmonies.
Can you do this in cubase LE?
VariAudio is only a part of Cubase Pro
nicee
the video was quite useful but i dont prefer others for cubase harmony generator.... better go with HARMONY ENGINE by ANTARES. perfectly does and sounds really natural.... i was too using cubase stocked harmony generator but that sounds so unreal and something like ghosty and scary harmonies..
