Can we just agree the price of new boats and motor’s is crazy! This boat with a trailer and tax is over $40k. I could buy a heck of a used Boston Whaler Montauk for that money! That being said, I will say that it comes nicely outfitted for the $34k. The largest Whaly boat only takes an 80 HP outboard and the bare boat and a 80 HP motor would be around the same price as this and this has a center console, fish finder, gauges, rod holders and much more.
I love the fact it has a casting deck you can insert. 👍
They are unreal boats, us Aussies are pretty rough on gear and these things take the punishment all day long. I have the 3m Tuffy and just sold my 23ft Trophy to go down to a Brumby, that six person capacity is amazing

Plastic hardens over time and will start to crack. Keep it covered when not using and use a UV protectant. Fiberglass will definitely last longer.
You'll get 30 years plus, not worth worrying about. Plus no maintenance

The Whaly 500 has a 12 person capacity. So, it can handle 6 people on board comfortably.
The polycraft 480 brumphy is great i highy recmmend them we have had one since 2008 and still running great, we have being in 3.5 meter waves in it and have never felt unsafe in it.

30k?! Maybe like 10, but 30k I can get a good 17 to 18 foot bayboat or flats boat with a nice yami on the back.

@@AliexFolgueira Thats my point, for 30k I can get a 17 to 18 foot fiberglass boat that can do a lot more and has more quality and still get a yami on the back. Why spend 30k on a short 16 foot plastic boat when you could get something that does the same thing but better because of the extra length and build quality. No sane person is gonna throw down that kind of cash for something thats made out of plastic. I even hear many cringe at the price of some aluminum boats but atleast those things are a bit better than a plastic boat that will get dents and deform over time in the sun. Dont get me wrong, its a really cool boat but the price has to come down, its not worth 30k. These plastic boats are supposed to be affordable and cheap because theyre made out of such a cheap and easy to use resource. The tuffy 300 is a great idea, just wished they had a tuffy that was 16 foot and like 7k
@@saltystripesfishing2980 Whaly 500R much stronger and tougher boat than a fiberglass or aluminum boat. Whaly boats are used also as work and rescue boats commonly being beached on rocky shores that would tear up a fiberglass boat. I use mine to land on Baja California Mex. Island shores for diving. Double hull, neatly sink proof.

The main issue this company has is price. If they were cheap, people could overlook the fact that they are ugly. The boat market is very high right now, but there's no excuse for paying what these guys want. Just wait, the economy is getting ready to tank and there will be great deals everywhere.
