If traxxas starts bring out rtr 8th scale race truggy and buggy they would be a game changer. I like tekno but traxxas has parts support on another level
It’s on pavement though, small cars don’t like high traction, just ask my mini LMT lol I bet it’s going to be a great truck and I can’t wait to see a mini Maxx Slash, $250 with a brushless system and a battery and charger, yes please!!

Ok now usually I’m a little cautious with the new Traxxas releases cause they’re usually higher priced. But if this thing goes 30mph and also comes with a Lipo included, I’m definitely down to grab one. I already have 3 of traxxas BL2s platform cars. The 4wd slash, and the 2wd stampede and rustler. Not only are they super durable, but fun to drive and actually pretty quick for 2s. Not everything has to be 4wd and go 50mph to be a ton of fun.
This Mini Maxx is what I wanted to see in an upgraded Mini Revo. The current drive train is simply too weak for the weight and power the Mini Revo has... I don't use mine for fears of breaking at any time.

So long as it can wheelie and backflip with the BL-2S system (which it should be able to since I can backflip my BL-2S Bigfoot, which is 2WD) then I see no reason to upgrade the power train
Traxxas NEEDS to make a new 2wd buggy based more on the slash platform, with bigger wheels and more suspension travel than the bandit now, even better would be a more realistic and plush ride like their desert truck. I would buy one in a heartbeat!
That is one of the local shops I go to. Good place and staff. I don’t race but their inside track is huge. Think they have a smaller one too but not sure.

Not replacement. Competitor. The BLX Groms are $70 cheaper and offer a lot for that price. Although I dare say that the Mini Maxx is going to prove to be the better mini. It’s larger, build like a Maxx, and has a much higher capacity battery (the 1400mah that comes with the Groms is pitiful. I’m lucky if I get 10 minutes of run time with it).
I heard a rumor that a vxl version might be coming in the spring...i dont know if mark can confirm it but according to a hobby store near me its definitely a potential option
Or just discontinued altogether. Plus the diffs for the Mini Maxx are apparently slightly larger than the diffs for the Stampede/Slash/Ruster 4x4s, so the E-Revo would need a major redesign for that to work
I think Traxxas should’ve done the demo on dirt/gravel/grass. That’s where these trucks really come into their element. Pavement is too high-traction for an HCG monster truck. Especially a 1/14 HCG monster truck
Their like a 1/14 scale rcs. Tbh, if they are giving everything out of the box and 30+ speeds for 250, thats kinda good. Their main goal rn at traxxas is to basically try to get new people into the hobby, specifically kids who's parents do not want to spend a lot of money on an rc that wouldn't break in a matter of days
I’m hoping so. The BL-2S system is enough to send my 2WD Stampede up onto its wheelie bar (as in the rear wheels aren’t even touching the ground and it’s just rolling on the wheelie bar wheels for a couple seconds) and I can backflip it off large jumps, even though it’s a 2WD. This truck is smaller and 4x4, so I think the BL-2S system will prove to be plenty powerful
any word on the Jato leaks? saw pics of it running at that event. but only some fuzzy ones. the name on the side of the car 100% said Jato though. which is odd since it looks like a buggy and not the road basher that the Jato used to be.
This is far from a copy of the Arrma Grom. The Grom is a proper small scale. This is a mixture between small scale and 1/10. Time will which will prove to be better, but the Mini Maxx has a lot of potential

2S is perfect. It’s not about speed, it’s about bash!

Sounds a lot like Rlaarlo Omni Terminator except the OT comes with 3S battery and center diff (not slipper).
I’ve heard some negative things about the Omni-Terminator though

Hope Traxxas changes the battery compartment size. If not good luck finding aftermarket batteries that fit without modifying it.
Well it comes with a lipo and charger so you are fine. Maybe not the best batterys ever but still, you are good to go

It must be. It’s 13in long with an 8in wheelbase.
For comparison: My 1/10 Hoss is 20in and the wheelbase is 11.6in
I just talk to the Traxxas dealer Tuesday he told me if you put 3s on it you got to upgrade the center diff other wize it will blow it out

1/14 scale. My 1/10 Hoss is 20” long with an 11.6” wheelbase. This is 13” long with an 8” wheelbase.
I called it I said at HobbyTown USA I said I want a mini EMaxx and I got it now
