Lmao you must have never played on a nxs2 or 750mk2. They're literally made with internal limiters that WANT the abuse. If u dont run them hot then the channels always too finicky
@@djkonnektshunvegas6074 Nothing "wants" the abuse. Just because the mixers DSP is impossible to clip and the outputs have crazy headroom doesnt mean that they are meant to be redlined. Its actually a great way to literally melt the drivers your subwoofers from the square wave that results from the limiter pushing too hard. Use your gear properly, keeping the loudest part of the track at -3db or so and the master at -6. The sound guy probably turned you down since you're trying to go so loud, and channel imbalance was an effect.

You can't dance constantly. If it's high energy all the time, it doesn't contrast. Long periods without climax make the crescendo better. Usually when people make an album, the song with the best drop has the longest build up. You've got a weird idea of how this works. 1. People get to stop moving after dancing for awhile to regain stamina 2. It creates high dynamic range in the lower register, which is extra impactful at a club with loud bass 3. It makes the experience a lot more unique from just listened to the music like you would by yourself.

I can just see everyone on the dance floor looking around like ‘whose fucking idea was this night out?’ Having said that he did demonstrate a good level of skill in the end. If you aren't familiar with the band Tool then I highly recommend giving them a listen, especially if you feel like you've lost hope for good music. They are an older band (started early 90's) but their latest album was 2019 and it is *chef's kiss* Other bands that restore my music-faith: Polyphia The Plot In You Shokran All 4 bands I have mentioned are quite different, but all have some of the best songs I've ever heard
