I played a Deliverance 60 about 11 or 12 years ago in a shop. At the time I had been playing a JCM 800 for a few years. I remember that the Deliverance 60 had everything I loved about a (modded) Marshall - and more. Just perfect.
The two gain knobs and the more / less modes make these amps surprisingly versatile given that they only have one channel. I played a D120 in a shop a few years ago and have been wanting one ever since. It slayed the Engl Powerball and the H&K Triamp that were also there.
Man three days into your Axe Fx III vids and my sound is so good, couldn't have done this myself without your guidance, thank you for your awesomeness Mr Leon \m/
Long time following all these, and I just wanted to say that the MCOMP after the cab... has been in every patch I've made since I saw this like a year and a half ago after getting my FM3. NOT ONLY THAT but when I'm running 4cm into my synergy 50, horizon drive in front, mcomp and delay/reverbs in the loop... again that mcomp is MAGIC and I'm blown away not everyone is doing this
Been using the grinder boost on the higher gain amps that have flubby low end. Been getting good results with that trick on tightening up those chugs. As always, thanks for the killer tips!
You can get pretty close at the moment if you use the T808 and tweak the graphic EQ in the drive block to give it a boost between 800 and 1600hz. I'm sure it'll be added before too long though!
i hadnt seen this vid of yours and only came across it now.. that's my fav amp in the axe. this + your exceptional IR (lt tv mix 7) is the guitar tone for my bands 1st album. two tracks of this and two more with the archean for extra "mid juice". dont know why i dont see this amp in more presets floating around out there. it's a gem
@@LeonTodd thanks man by the end of the month the rest of the tracks are coming out. I'll put them in the discord too. There's some playing with a Tele with that preset there too for some more chill solos etc. My go to delay for lead/soloing is your multi delay trick with the two short chorus-like ones. Awesome cheat code
I don’t know if they still do it, but when they were still VHT they used to etch little messages on the boards in the heads. They made great amps since they started.
I just bought a deliverance 120 3 weeks ago..... holy shit is it a monster. It destroys every other amp in my collection. It's almost impossible to get a bad tone out of it. Sounds huge
@@LeonTodd I'm using a randall oversized cab with 2 WGS VETERAN 30s, and 2 celestion creamback m's in an x pattern. It also sounds great through a 1960b with 12t-75's
@@LeonTodd best thing about the deliverance is the two gain voicing. Gain 1 is so adjustable, that I think just about any cab would sound great. After playing with it for a few weeks now, I really think this might be one of the best amps ever. And I own a soldano hotrod. It totally spanks the soldano, believe it or not. Plus I only paid $600 for it. Lol
@@mikeflanders1292 $600 for a D120 is a total steal. I’ve been watching the used market for about four years and a good deal is anything under $1100. Congrats!
@@208414 I couldn't believe it. It was at a pawn shop, and they had no idea what it was. I bought it immediately. Lol. Best score of my life. Usually pawn shops rip me off, I finally made out alright for once
Stop giving away my secrets! haha. Throwing the Zendrive on it as a boost with a little less overdrive and a bit more master is my favorite on this amp.
@LeonTodd Hello Again. Once again my favorite way to wake up. When playing with the AXE-FX III do you run it through a power amp or do you go through and amplifier head using both the pre-am and power amp section or just just the power amp section. "D"
Dude fryette anything is the shit. I’m paying some other gear off but once I do I’m getting the fryette powerstation 100 and the synergy rack then start collecting modules
You took the words out of my mouth when you said it sounds like a rectum frier. 😂🤣🤟.. That much gain is addictive and puts me in my happy place. I noticed your back to the PRS instead of the strats like your latest vids which made perfect sense. Anyway. Sounds great man. Just killer. I never thought before hearing your channel I would find modeling as good as it is, but the evidence is clear. My eads and your playing prove to me at least in sound ( which is the main thing except for feel to me) the modeling is better. More consistancy, easier to use as far as going direct and recording, etc.. just killer sir. If you wanted to record with an inexpensive modeller, which would you maybe use? Good Friday question. Oh. I forgot to ask or tell ya, have you tried Nexus hair shampoo and conditioner? If not man, you should give it a try. Here in the midwest the weather here in the winter is hard on the long hair and it is just the best. 😉🤙😉🤙😉 Be safe brother and again as always thank you for bringing value to my life. When I'm listening to you I'm not listening to others and it's because if the great vids and value. Be safe my friend!
@@LeonTodd Dude. Nexus is just the best conditioner. My hair gets dry because I'm always in a hurry and blow dry it, otherwise it's so long ( like yours) it can take all day to dry. That blow drying plus the dry outside in winter is horrible. Nexus literally kills static cling, and smells great, and doesn't make my hair feel greasy or look too conditioned you might say. It isn't the cheapest. Here for a very small bottle it's like 4 bucks for the conditioner, which I use to travel, and the home size which lasts me 3 months or more is about 13 bucks and the size of a bottle of Pepsi roughly. You also don't have to use as much. It just works man. I've tried everything too. Originally here you could only get it at hair salons until about 8 years ago, them they started selling it, but you can still only get it at certain stores like CVS pharmacies, etc. I hope they have it there so you can try it. I promise you'll love it. I also like the shampoo, but if I use the conditioner I can seem to use any shampoo and it works. Nexus rocks!!! 💘🤟💘🤟
This channel is the reason Im so happy with my Axe III Mk2 - without it I would be lost

It's like they took a Marshall and slathered it in hot sauce. So good

Have you used the avid eleven rack? You can get them in the states for ~$200 these days. Not sure if it's worth it though.
