Very nice Leon! Great tones and demonstration! Wax lyrical? I've not heard that analogy? May I borrow it once or twice? Thanks for sharing brother! Be Well Leon!
Hello, I've been using the SLO models in the FM3 as my main amp. How would you suggest to setup the SLO Clean and the SLO Rhythm models to get clean and crunch sounds?
on my Jet City 50h, I like to sometimes goose the front end with a Marshall Guv'nor or a Rat. pedal gain low, amp OD level to about 5 or 6. Sounds amazeballs Edit: not always needed- those amps have craptons of gain as you know. I'd like to try that EQ200 pedal on my JC
The master volume matter is the same with almost any high gain modelers. The more you crank it the tone gets almost mushy saturated and lower it there’s more articulation. I keep the master low and increase channel volume and voila.
@@LeonTodd I wondered if that might be the case! Certainly keep working on that... I had to backup the video twice and listen to it because it was so awesome!!! It's stuck in my head now!
Hey man I’ve been considering an axe fx over buying another tube amp and investing in a ton of pedals but I don’t have a studio set up just your basic tube amp and guitar setup but I’m really interested in the axe for all the amps and effects and I’m just wondering if you could give me some insight on how I could use it and get the full potential out of it without a recording studio set up
Leon Todd that simple huh? I guess you don’t really get to use the irs that way though huh but do you recommend any power amp in particular? I’d like to use a tube power amp if that would pair well with it
@@joeywilder9708 yeah you miss out on IR's but if you like the feel of a cab in the room IR's won't do that anyway. I use a Matrix GT800FX power amp which lets me utilise the power amp modelling in the Axe-Fx, which is what sets the Axe apart from the pack IMO.
i must be missing something. i just got an fm3 and i copied your settings while using your cab ir from axechange and im not getting anything like the tone coming through the video. my guitars just sound honky and lifeless.
i should add that when i turn off the cab and run the fm3 through the fx loop return on my real amp, sending it though my evh 2x12 im getting similar sounds to what im hearing in the video.
Quite literally the best freakin Axe FX SLO100 vid on internet. It has been one of my fav amps since Ultra.
Leon, thank you once again. The Gods of metal bless you!
I have been jamming my SLO 100 patches lately. Its also great for leads too!
"Wax lyrical about" what a phrase. And tones/video fantastic as always
Awesome distortion sounds. Luv to watch you play.
This is my absolute favorite amp model. It just has everything. Great video!!
It's the special sauce!
This popped up. Sounds fucking great man. Killer.
Hours of fun. Thanks LT
Awesome tones and playing!!
Awesome video this morning Leon, thanks!
Sounds great dude! Impressed with the 3's ability to react to picking dynamics.
I had the gate cranked here too which is even more impressive!
@@LeonTodd that's wild! Very cool to hear. 🔥
Love 5 min tones!
All 9 minutes of them!
Sounded awesome with the master up
Yeah it has that tube squish going on.
its also faaar less bright and piercing
Hi Leon, Excellent Video, I did love the CC Boost, overall excellent Amp emulation!
Take care♥️
Melbourne, Australia.
one of my favorites amp, thank you Leon for making this video!!
Great amp. One reason Warren Haynes uses it for his solo work. Thanks for the tutorial Leon. Used this as a template for my FM3 SLO-100 preset.
Super helpful!
I’d like to see you revisit this model sometime 😊
That was quite interesting, thanks, awesome video!
Pure 80s goodness.
Sweet tones bro! 😊👍
Thanks boss
Incredible playing and hair! In all honesty, how long did it take to grow your hair that length?

Od's cut a lot of low end which can really bring out a cool character from the amp.
The tone in 4:19 is awesome
Now I know where rectifier got its design and sound from. My god. The Soldano is still better to my ears. No fizz!
hi lion wich have best quality sound boss gt1000 or amplifire6?
which is better and why?

Awesome video as always! What is that first riff you are playing in the first couple of minutes?
That's an idea I've been playing around for the new ragdoll record.

For it up with a power amp into a cab and you now own over 200 heads :)

I’ll have to look into it then thanks a lot for the help man
@@joeywilder9708 i use an axe fx 2 mark ii with a 200 dollar harley benton power amp and it sounds amazing

Hi Leon, did you put this on axe-change? I can't find it..
I'm playing an SLO100 from my iPhone-iRig right now. Wish I could play the real thing.
buy a JetCity 50 or 100. designed by Mike Soldano. Specs are almost identical
@@6Stringers Thanks. funny thing is they also have Jet City in Amplitube store.
