The most in-depth tutorial on how to do this! I need to adapt this to Logic. I can’t believe no one else has done a tutorial so in-depth on this. Thank you 👍
Thank you for sharing this info, the demo is gold. Very well played and very nice riffs. Your band got a new fan with that song. Please share your Strandy v6 tone for QC. I’ll be very interested on having a tone like that as reference to create mine. I struggle a lot with lead tone and the amount of delay that it requires.
@@williamarango5059 thank you very much! I have similar sounding tones on the cloud. This one in particular uses an IR that I can‘t upload to cortex cloud. So you would be able to download the preset but it would sound completely different.
Thank you. I was using my AX8 that way. I figured out a 40 ms latency overall for amp changes. I used track latency on Ableton and it worked out. Unfortunately the the issue persists with QC. We'll always find a workaround. Best regards.
@@buricaliskan The same, i was hoping to get the natural wood one but the wait list are long, im planing to change the pickups, maybe the Bareknuckle Aftermath.
as long as you can send out Midi Commands, it should work with every DAW. I don't know how it's setup in Studio One tho. But the command numbers will be the same regardless of which DAW you use.
I'll ask in English so that other fellas might also follow. :)) Thank you for your efforts. Is there any latency for QC to get those MIDI messages? You would definitely recognize it while playing on part transitions. I use Chocolate MIDI controller to change the hidden scenes while using hybrid mode, however, the scene changes occur with a slight latency there, where there is none if I use just switches on QC. In forums I also heard about the latency when getting CC messages from Ableton. So I was suspicious whether this is an issue of QC or my MIDI controller.
I think that could be the issue with midi changes in general. My bandmate uses a helix and has the same „lag“. What I do is this: I program the change a 32nd note before the change should actually happen. This usually hits at the exact right time. Depending on how fast your song is I guess 😂 You might have to tweak around a bit to see what works for you. Cheers ✌️
That is actually a great question. I think this might not be possible but if it is, it would make this all ALOT easier. I‘ll try it and see if I can make it work or not. Cheers
I‘m not sure if I understood your question correctly. But yes, after you specifically create a midi track you can set the routing of the track. Check again at 02:37 and then you‘ll see that I selected the quad cortex as input and output Hope that helps Cheers
@@walkmanmaster did you draw in a midi section? Just like you would draw in another midi instrument, for example drums or synths etc. After drawing that in, you should be able to click on the midi section, then on top in the menu, click on MIDI and then Liet Editor That should do the trick
Hi, I hope I can quickly explain this. Should be fairly simple. First you need to make sure that you created a Midi Track and routed it to the Quad Cortex. Then draw in a new section like you would do when you program other midi instruments. And then instead of the Midi Key Editor or Midi Drum Editor you have to open the Midi List Editor. Hope that helps. Cheers
@@DonDimeEDE ah yes mate you‘re right. Actually that was also something I struggled at the beginning. Really really good writing man! Very very cool riffs, melodies… everything! The phrasing was great! I loved it man! Really really good stuff.
Thanks alot for your comment! I‘ll make sure to tell my bandmates 😁
You can find the link to the video clip in the description box.

Kickass playing man! Thanx for the video tutorial as well.

tight playing. I want to know if there's a way to record midi messages using the QC. Can i record the footswitches as midi messages?

Hi I did it but I can not open the midi table with midi cc commands it is unavilable, how to do it . I have cubase 12 elements

Yes I can draw and now opened midi edytor. But I see Piano roll not table .

@buricaliskan yeah thats clear, I also set my points but I dont see where I can select the CC and Value
I found the mistake! I first have to select Controller in the upper bar before setting a point.
Now everything is clear. Thanks Mate!❤
