I.m a homeless person, I live out side in the high mountains of Colorado. These tips do work. Also if you have access to empty water bottles and a microwave, fill up the water bottles with water microwave them until they are so hot can barely touch them. then you can just put them in your sleeping bag, they will keep your feet warm all night.
I spent a yr in Idaho and three in Germany when I was in the Military and working as a Lineman in freezing conditions in the open for most of the day,,every day. I found that putting a Pinch of Cayenne Pepper in the end of your socks in the morning increase blood circulation and keeps you feet warm Whether I was up on a powerline pole or in a manhole splicing cable in sub-freezing conditions
I've used tips number one and two and they definitely work! Always glad to see another one of these videos come up I'm going to try tip 3 and 4. Tip number for may be especially useful to me as I hunt with a recurve and use a finger glove. Well anyone who's used one knows that leather saps the heat from your hands fast! And because I shoot by feel I can't have a lot of bulk because get in the way. If I can't feel my bow then it changes the position of the bow in my hand and my two in accuracy at 20 yards becomes a shot in the dark unless I practice with those gloves and that bow. Good luck this year doll you bow Hunters I'm hoping for a miracle this year I haven't seen any good bucks and the properties I used to hunt have all been posted buy new owners. Lol damn the luck!
I wear mittens because having fingers close together are warmer than gloves. I wear Tamarack snow boots with wool socks covered in good cotton socks that can actually get a little bit warm if active, so just hanging out they keep my feet warm. My only problem is keeping my eyes balls from shattering. I’ll need a pair of goggles for this winter. I can hang out in 12 degree snow for 15 hours without a problem. 🤙🏽
Layer -- Use a thin merino sock as a base layer. It is NOT there to keep your feet warm but to keep them dry and wick away sweat. It works exactly like a base layer on your body does. Now add a thicker mid-layer sock or two on top. When I was in the Army we had Mickey Mouse boots (now they're white and called bunny boots) and those things really worked great.
I would like a link for the wrist wraps you talk about, please. Additionally if on the foot innersole or even the cardboard inersole putting a layer of a thicker aluminum foil on the underside will be adding that much more by reflecting the heat back and rejecting the cold out.
At last someone's mentioned foot powder as the 1st step to keeping feet warm... As a cyclist I know if you've got moisture on your feet you may as well give up, nothing will work
I find them Amazon. www.amazon.com/ThermaCare-Heatwraps-Neck-Shoulder-Wrist/dp/B004RRGECU/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=thermacare+wrist+heat+wraps&qid=1552092246&s=gateway&sr=8-5
Skip the cardboard, as soon as you stand up it is crushed, and stops insulating, Same with socks. Get 1/4 " closed cell foam, and make insoles. After a day of walking around it will crush and you have to replace it, but better than cardboard.
What has helped me is buying an extra stick of unscented deodorant and apply to my feet and up my leg a little bit before I put my socks on... Stay’s nice and dry for them long walks in. And if it’s REAL cold, when I get in my stand I have some sock tops that I cut from a pair of heavy socks (The part thats stretchy and is normally around ur calf). I’ll take them and put over the toe of my boots, throw a hand warmer in each on the top of ur toes and I’m ready for an all day’r
1. Use foot powder or baking soda
2. Use cotton balls
3. Use an extra insole in your boots
4. Use therma care wraps around your wrists

I wish you the best man
Hope you find a great place to stay one day

That would be interesting to try. It would either warm your toes, or set them on fire. lol
Why do you keep walking up to the camera after every cut, stand still.
hes a total creep
😂😂😂
It’s almost always three steps too!
this made me laugh 😆 maybe he’s nervous or somethin
It’s irritating!

Well as winter kayaker as my feet are the only thing that get cold it don't hurt to try other peoples tips.
Thx for the info.

If foot powder is not available then use corn starch it is a component of foot powder in addition to baking soda

Layer of Mylar space blanket between insole and cardboard insole?
Can i use the powder and cotton balls for my finger tips in gloves
Powder yes, but I think the cotton balls might make you lose too much dexterity.

I’m just cold at home but ok....
2:39 do you mean corrugated cardboard with air as insulation sandwiched inside or just cereal box cardboard?
Corrugated cardboard.
I’ve never thought of any of these tips, forwarding to some hunting buddies.
Osborn Outdoors thanks for sharing!
who came here just be cause they're cold
Joint pain

Walking towards the camera Every time you have something to say is very distracting just my Opinion.Continent is very good
Yeah it was a terrible habit I finally broke in the newer videos. I may go back redo some of the older videos. Thanks for watching!
Which Continent is that then?
@@lanbolanon3128 Comment is what I was trying to say.
It reminds me of the ending of dr strange.lol

Haha 😁
🏆, good creative review.
Vaseline works as a heat sealant also...
no.....
.....Leave it.
On your hands and feet..
Where do you get the wrist wraps? I can only find those that are for ice and Or weightlifters.
What about using lambs wool instead of cotton balls between your toes? I know some hikers use it to prevent blisters.
I think it could work just fine. Would it itch though?
Cotton naturally attracts moisture.so cotton balls for insulation is a huge no no.cotton socks is out of the question either for the same reason
So if I wrap my wrists with those thermacare wrist wraps it will keep my fingers warm ?
For some people it helps.
I wear latex gloves to keep my hands warm. I'm interested in the heat wraps though but I don't know where to get them.

It looks like the ending of dr. strange everytime you walk towards the camera. Lol

Keep your arms and legs warm with good garment layers, and your feet and hands will be warmer.
When you buy foot powder be careful not to get cooling foot powder. Might seem obvious but there is always someone
Wear latex gloves under or over your liners or gloves. It causes sweating but it works til you take them off
Didn't work for me or any of us at work
If you walk towards that camera one more time... We're going to have a problem young man😠😡🤬😤
Shot a guy hunting and trespassing, how warm are his feet now?
I don’t think he cares anymore
Wrap up calfs, and for arms with saran wrap. Loosely not too tight. Your welcome.

Paper is a good insulator
Edit: aluminium foil
funny does this still work
Thanks for commenting! Does what still work?
Nah it got patched
I can’t explain why.. but I was so tilted by how at every cut/edit in your video your swaying towards the camera every time..
Stay back
Do you watch too much Alpha M?
lol maybe
outdoor gear review knock off? 🤔👈🏻
I’ll take a pair of thong sandals, rip the thong part out, and insert them in your boots. May have to cut to size. Yw
nice eyebrows
Thanks. I work hard on them.
