Awesome stuff man. I think string synths are super underrated. I've seen a few Korg Deltas go cheap near me. Relatively cheap things to get for a very vintage string sound. Would be sweet for a band setup too.
Hell yeah! The Korg Delta is fantastic sounding as well, but I really love all the old stringer sounds. Used to have a Streichfett back when they were new, but while that was pretty damn good there's something about the older string synths that's just very buzzy and raw. Love it!
Nice. I have been given one of these, painted white, sliders only partly working, all but one F# seem dead - but, that sound! It doesn't sound too good on it's own, but put it in a mix and your song will start to sound like all your favorite 70s-records. :)
I know, these things can definitely get you some classic 70s vibes. I've always enjoyed how dry they are, means I can slap as many effects on it as possible for maximum 70s psychedelic effect 😄
Hey know, don't knock my boy RS-101 :D I can definitely understand that though. I'm in a similar predicament with an old Crumar synth that I can't tell if it actually has a proper polysynth section in addition to the string synth and mono section, or if it's just more string voices hahaha. I just wish the damn RS-101 would stop sparking. Sustain fader is all sorts of wrong on mine. It's got a very nice shimmery sound to it!

I bought one ...thought it was a synth! Nice sound...but not very versatile.
