Hi. You could have booked bus via redbus or Abhi bus. Best option than booking through agent's.

Yes i thought so but then I am not aware of pick up points since I am new in the city hence I booked through agents

Book ticket through KSRTC, there are many buses from Bengaluru (Majestic) to Mangaluru day as well night buses sarige ( ordinary ) , Rajahamsa( Deluxe or 2X2) , Sleeper both ac and non ac buses. You can book online also there is booking counter at Majestic KSRTC bustand.
