I tried looping the three albums and it comes full circle. The anguish, sadness, affection, and transcendence are what this band emulates. Vessel not only has a magnificent voice his writing is modern poetry. I can't compare it to any modern band these days. Really amazing band. AOTY and easily my top album for life.

Honestly, I think people forget that Sundowning is a form a Dementia. Having the album loop back to TNDNBTG can be viewed as 2 things:
      1. The more obvious, a callback to the 1st album and a way of thanking the fanbase for being on the journey with them.
      2. The darker theory, someone struggling with Sundowning who is stuck in a loop due to how dementia works.

@@ODSTD56at first it’s a good interpretation however I have another theory about sundowning.
I believe he’s addressing her addiction and how it affects her demeanor and memory. Also touches on during the day she’s not impaired but at night she is ergo why she can’t remember. Repeatedly through the story he talks about she can remember only when she’s alone , how if she had a problem then she should’ve told him. This also is touched on in previous work where he tells her in legion she’s anguish to him but a beautiful passenger alone. He also tells her she’s one among many but now she’s on her own.
      Just my theory

This song is almost like having a drug or spiritual awakening to me.
I've never experienced so much power and emotional/spiritual authenticity in a single song before in my whole entire life.
I genuinely do believe this band is the most unique and talented band in the history of all music to have ever been written so far and i don't say that lightly.
These unbelievably creative and (what I believe to be divinely inspired) ranger and blend of genres, notes, tones, techniques, styles, ect. surpass anything i ever even thought would have been possible...
I can't even find the words except that they come out of an entirely different state of consciousness that speaks to the uniqueness and eccentricity of each individual through their own life experience.
They have even surpassed tool for me by exponential margins who were the only band who could even have come close or compared and thas not something I ever thought I'd be able to say or imagine would be possible.

The lyrics are absolutely amazing and I tried to make some understanding of them. In general, I think these lyrics paint a picture of a complex, destructive and tumultuous relationship. Vessel grapples with his own desires and struggles to navigate the expectations and consequences of his actions. The imagery and metaphors create a dreamy and emotionally charged atmosphere, conveying the intensity and confusion within the relationship. Lot of metaphorics and abstract visions.
For example: ""I dream in phosphorescence, Bleed through spaces
See you drifting past the fog, But no one told you where to go
We dive through crystal waters, Perfect oceans, But no one told me not to breathe
    And now the weightlessness recedes""
A dream-like state where phosphorescence, or glowing light, dominates Vessels dreams. They bleed through spaces, suggesting a sense of permeability or crossing boundaries. The image of someone drifting past the fog represents a person who seems lost or uncertain about their path in life, just like you guys said. The lines about diving through crystal waters and perfect oceans is probably a pursuit of something ideal and beautiful. However, Vessel realizes that he were never warned about the consequences of his actions, symbolized by the lack of instruction not to breathe underwater. As a result, the weightlessness and freedom he once felt begin to fade away.
"I´m a winged insect, you´re a funeral pyre" is about someont with intense, fiery eyes that captivate you. Compare themselves to a fragile, winged insect, while the other person is likened to a funeral pyre, kind of a destructive force. "Come now, bite through these wires, I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired" I belive it could be the will for the other person to bite through wires could symbolize a desire to break free from constraints or limitations. The line "I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired" indicates that Vessels internal struggles and turmoil have become burdensome and a pain even for the divine forces.
A pure 10/10 song and album!

I'd call the third verse "contemporary" because, honestly, a lot of their choruses sound like church hymns or contemporary christian music (talking purely musically), and this song especially feels like something I'd sing at a modern non-denominational church. Which, I think, is them leaning into their background and their tagline "Worship" by literally creating hymnal choruses

That is one of the most relatable lyric for me from the album. Sometimes in a relationship, I feel that I'm treated that I'm only useful for my career and the money that I can provide. This song and album title track is perfectly titled itself because of the sheer callbacks. This song had callbacks to Chokehold and Higher, and it's also a perfect album title for its callback to The Night Does Not Belong to God (first track off the first album) in Euclid. Taking someone back to Eden is like taking them back to the beginnings.

I know that I'm late to the party when it comes to listening to the song, but the song itself is a beautiful choreography from start to finish. Vessel brings his everything into this song, from pop (As you guys have noticed), to heavy metal. It's like a butterfly. I say that in a way that there is the silence within the air, that melancholic reprieve while listening to the nature around you. I feel as the song goes on, it goes through a metamorphosis, much like a caterpillar. Small, insignificant, soft. Then it reaches it's cocoon where it begins to change. Its change is violent and rapid (Namely the rap portion), where it then blooms and reveals its wings and spreads them once breaching the cocoon, showing its true nature. The take off then there after, is a fierce flight. All up until death. I'm exaggerating quite a bit in my description, but I feel like it captures the song well. Overall, this is a beautiful song about change through their verses, and you guys have very openly widened my eyes about the song. At first I had just listened to it in part for how amazing it sounded. Now I'm able to listen to it in a new light. Thanks DJ's!~

"reset my patient violence" / "im a waking hell" /"i'll take a pound of your flesh" / "i will travel beyond the path of reason" / "im about to bite back in anger". to me it feels like he's very much threatening violence in all of these lyrics.
the music escalates with the lyrics and then the breakdown happens towards the end where he finally loses it and lashes out. anger is getting built up from the beginning and the explodes at the end. just insane artistry.

The artistry on all aspects is absolute top shelf: the composition, the production, the figures/videos, the lore, the language-code, the stage aesthetic, the drumming, his emotive voice!, the lyrical foreshadowing & allusion over a 3 album arc!! All genres combined and leveled-up. I haven't had my mind blown like this since Snarky Puppy 12 years ago or Umphrey's McGee 9 years before that!🔥🤘

100% it is. He’s switching from classical to synth in this song quite a bit. Very good taste especially in those ambient type parts. Guy has to be classically trained.

@@radiodjsreact100% has to be classically trained. Just from how technical he is with his voice.

This isn't the first time they did a song three ways. Last album did the same thing.

Being honest, it wasn't difficult to understand the lyrics of Vessel because I've been in that situation with my feelings, as well as a lot of people, I think. This is my fav album in the entire history because it describes how I feel, and at least for me, is helping me to take out all my repressed feelings.

There’s some synthy thing in the background that says “this ties to something from the past” to me.
Whether it’s a direct repeat or it’s a part that intends to invoke that memory of a previous song of theirs I’m not sure. But it definitely directs me to moments in the previously-existing discography.

My only complaint about this band is I think they pick the worst songs to fade out on, but the fact that’s my only complaint sound speak volumes out this band talent
