"Eventually we're gonna get to all of them" Yes, please! Every single song they have is a masterpiece of their own. And from all the reactions I've seen, I enjoyed yours the most because you're so enamoured with their sound and it shows. It's so contagious that I feel as if I live through these songs for the first time again If you're going to go through Sleep Token's discography here with us, my only advice is to leave a listen to Euclid for last. It hits way harder when you know the band for some time
I second this comment. I can’t put into words how much sleep token have made me gain a deeper love for music. They practically saved my life when I was at my lowest. They’ve easily become my favourite band and it’s been so incredible to watch them grow, considering I’ve been listening since their second EP. Truly masters of their craft and the amount of love I have for them is immeasurable. Worship 🙏
When you listen to Chokehold, first song off this album, you'll hear that line 'It was no accident' that was brought back in this song. Over the three albums comprising this storyline you will see them use this call back technique quite beautifully to pull it all together into a coherent narrative.
This song has a callback to the first song of the album, Chokehold. "When we were made, it was no accident. We were tangled up like branches in a flood." Can't wait to see more of your reactions to Sleep Token! 🤜🤛
For me with this song, its the way the chorus blends so damn well with 3 styles of music. It flows with the opening hypnotic soft style, the hip hop, and the brighter poppish third movement.
I describe their music as "Majestically Tragic" Those are the words that come to me with their songs, lyrics, style, etc. Thanks for your reaction, you got a new sub!

The charismatic voice did a reaction to this song with Will Ramos and it was the best break down of this song I’ve ever heard. Although it was an hour long video 😂 They really dove in deep to the meaning
i start listening to sleep token last month and damn they have so many songs i listen to every song from them twice a week depending on what i am doing
I really love going around and seeing peoples genuine facial reactions and by far yours is one of the best ive seen, its a very emotional song and the fact that you are having visceral reactions shows alot, as well as your amazing analysis. If you like this i reccomend chokehold, call it a callback.
I absolutely understand holding off on listening in order to make the reaction vids, absolUTELY, but I very highly recommend going through starting from sundowning and ending with this album. They did something very special, as artists, and wrote a story that begins with the first album and ties in to the third. The third album has a lot to appreciate as first time listeners for sure, but the sheer depth grows to higher moments of appreciation once you've consumed the others. They do quite a lot of callbacks to other songs in this album. It's a work of true art
It also is painting the story of a love that is known by both parties to be toxic, yet pursuing it with violent fervour and passion because that's what the heart wants, even though it's so very evident that abuse, pain, and self sacrifice/destruction is happening. Then turns to the realization of things, after the flash in the pan has passed, and watching as you pour your all and only receive pain. Then culminates in the self granted freedom of growth and beginning the journey of healing. It's remarkable.
The reason why everytime the guitar comes in it sounds like a breakdown is because they have 8 string guitars tuned to drop E which is a whole octave lower than standard guitar tuning, which as a guitarist is insane to wrap my head around.
After this, I highly recommend that you listen to all three of their albums in order. It is a trilogy. The Sundowning, then This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and finally Take Me Back To Eden. Great reaction, and I am glad to see more people getting into this amazing band. Worship.
You mentioned telling a story. This album is the end of a trilogy. I see it as Vessel’s journey of pain, loss, heartache, toxicity, acceptance, overcoming and healing. Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, & Take Me Back To Eden are art in its highest form. Do yourself a favor and listen to it all start to finish. And do us a favor and make videos of it.
I have enjoyed seeing you experience and fight the emotional nature of this song. It helps me realize that I'm not the only one who feels this way and that it's okay to feel this way about this song. You are in for a great and wild ride. If you are up for a suggestion, I would suggest doing a listen through from beginning to end of Sundowning followed by This Place Will Become Your Tomb and ending with Take Me Back To Eden. If you do it this way, you will get a lot of the call backs and references that ST does. In this song, at the end there are call back lines/melodies to the first song in this record called Chokehold. "It was no Accident" and "Tangled up like branches in a flood" are the lines I'm referencing. I feel like you would greatly benefit from this journey personally. As someone else said, "Sleep Token will heal us all!"
FUCK! How, after listening to this song what feels like every day for the past 3 months am I just now hearing the Vesselettes in the background mix, they are so muted, but they are there and if you are looking for it, you'll hear them and how much they add to the beginning layers. I swear I hear a new detail or something every time I listen. Worship!
I subscribed from the Ascensionism video, but I would subscribe again. I love the approach you have to music, and seeing you discover Sleep Token for the first time is special. Their music either clicks with your soul or not, and it definitely clicks with you. Enjoy the ride, we will enjoy it with you!
At 11:40 and 11:50 where Vessel says “It was no accident” and “Tangled up like branches in a flood”, those were both throwbacks to Chokehold. One of their previous songs. Also, there song “Euclid” has a few of those as well. I really enjoyed your reaction though. You seem to truly attempt to analyze the lyrics which I like.
No Chokehold is the first song off THIS record, Euclid, the final track is a callback and a full circle to the first track in the first album of this three album Trilogy, the song being The Night Does Not Belong To God.
Dude, did I see your eyes tearing up listening to the opening of this song? If so, I have the same reaction to so many of their songs. This whole album is a mind-f*ck eargasm of perfection. So many emotions
Welcome to the rabbit hole 😌 strongly recommend you go back to the very start of the trilogy, and go all the way through the Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and then Take Me Back To Eden albums. It all comes full circle.
The way they weave a little rnb flavor in there is just too good. Appreciate you diving in and taking us with you! Just watched your ascensionism reaction and mannnnn they never let down with their releases. Love your energy dawg keep that feeling!
Their whole discography is gorgeous. The EPs one and two then sundowning, This place will become your tomb, then this one. They all link together and this album is FULL of callbacks and references to their previous work. I hope you dive into their older stuff. 💜
I only started watching reaction videos after i got into Sleep Token a couple of years ago. They very quickly because very special to me and i love seeing people discover them! The other track of the new album that I would HIGHLY recommend is Euclid. As for older stuff, definitely Bloodsport (room below version) as the emotion is just so raw and heartfelt, The Love You Want as the video and song combined make it an incredibly beautiful experience, and The Offering, Higher and Jaws. The Way That You Were too, just vocals and organ. I had that song on repeat for like two days when I discovered it lol.
been LOVING this band recently, so glad you found this rabbit hole 🤟i HIGHLY suggest you listen to The Summoning next! cus i know for a fact that you are gonna ABSOLUTELY love it!
This song gives me fucking chills…so many layers to this and the replay value is insane…seeing you enjoy this was the content I needed to see today ! Great song and great video!!!
I’ve been a massive fan since they released Jaws in 2016. I’ve been trying to push them on people ever since, they’ve been amazing since day 1 and deserve all the fame they’ve gotten. And just a little extra info, Vessel 1 and 2 (the drummer) write everything. But you really should look into their whole discography, nothing is bad.
Always remember my dad telling me that when he was going to primary school and got into bands like ACDC, Deep Purple, Motorhead and then early Metallica, Slayer, Testament, Vio-lence and so much more, all he was told by teachers, adults and most other pupils, was metal was just noise made by talentless dirty long haired wastes of space. He was told all metal sounded the same, all metal was violent, a bad influence, was the music of the devil etc. Listening to my dad's record & cd collection over the years, it became clear that the people my dad was talking about had never actually REALLY LISTENED to Heavy Metal because it was obvious to me how stunningly beautiful Heavy Metal is in all of its genre. How talented the musicians are and how incredible the vocalists are. These bands are full of experts playing their respective instruments and singers displaying a multitude of different vocal styles. Then finally, the lyrics in metal, tend to be far more relateable bringing out a multitude of emotions, that helps listeners maintaining their emotional wellbeing. This Song is just stunningly beautiful and is aural bliss to listen to. Metal has been the only music that has brought me comfort during my darkest days. This music has genuinely saved my life on several occasions. I just absolutely love it 🤘🤘❤️❤️❤️❤️
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is sleep token. This is the second song you've heard off their newest record. There's two more records before this as well as a couple eps. These guys are the complete package on so many levels. Enjoy your journey. And for the record, they are incredible live...

Now that these two are out of the way, youre about to get a better feel for what all they’re capable of. Ascensionism and TMBTE are similar in structure but that can’t be said for another other songs. I can’t speak for everyone but if you post an 18 min video for a 7 min song, I’m here for all 18 min.
You said in the other Sleep Token video you play sax, if you are going down a rock/metal rabbit hole, check out Rivers of Nihil - Where owls know my name might be a good start, might well be something in it for you and I wont say more than that
Woo! Well if you are going through the rabbit hole. Let's take a step back. Start at sundowning. The current album is part of a series. Made up of Sundowning -> This place will become your tomb -> take me back to eden (album). A total of 34 songs not including sundowing bonus tracks or the songs you already listened to. If you want something outside the saga then I suggest JAWS. Or something off of "One" or "Two".
Highly recommend Sugar, The Offering, Alkaline, Hypnosis, Higher, their cover of Loathe's song Is It Really You? Also, really nice analysis at the end there, I enjoyed that, nice reflection and insights.
Welcome to the fam! I have listened to every reaction to this band available on YT. Such a wide variety of responses yet still overwhelmingly positive. I understand that “worship” can be off putting for some, but I see it as the message Vessel is the conduit for is what is being worshipped, not the band or Sleep the deity. This is my opinion at least. Looking forward to more breakdowns!
So. This is part three of a trilogy about the same topic. A relationship gone bad, and in this song it alludes that the relationship has turned violent, that it has traveled far beyond the path of reason. But underneath there is this deaire to retun to the innocence of it, this prayer yo salvage it. No amount of love can keep it(the relationship) around if we(plural) dont choose it. But despite best intentions and hopes to return to eden, in the end it devolves again into violence.
Another banger! It's official, you are now mi favorite reactor! Nerdcore(especially DPS) and ST! Keep up the great work. Also, happy Father's Day! A little late but, I hope you and your family had a great one❤
All of the videos for this album are visualizers. I wish they would enable the captions for them. If you do a deep dive into Sleep Token, start at the very beginning with the EP "One." The production has gotten infinitely better since then, but all of the components are there: the songwriting, lyrics, vocals, crazy low-tuned guitars, and genre bending and blending all over the place. As for this video, the winged figure is the deity Sleep that you mentioned. She is holding an apple in one hand, symbolizing the Garden of Eden. All of Sleep Token's songs are about Vessel's dysfunctional relationship with this sort of villainous, evil deity. The lyrics read to me like "Eden" was the beginning of their relationship, before he realized what Sleep truly was. The blissful ignorance of her destructive side. So he wants to go back to when he didn't yet know how much she would hurt him and turn him into a shell of his former self. Take Me Back to Eden was the third in a trilogy of albums about this storyline, so I guess maybe we'll get a different storyline starting with the next album?
I love watching you react to my favorite band. You understand the intracacies and what goes into each song. You should look up some Sleep Token lore and more about this album and their music in general. And I say you just react to each song off the album consecutively lol. The whole album is a masterpiece so experiencing it with each intended track one after the other is the perfect way to listen.
I highly recommend you start at their first two EPs “One” and “Two”, then travel through the first two albums , “Sundowning” and “This Place Will Become Your Tomb”. To get a better sense of their entire catalog. Just a phenomenal collective of good artists, who write moving music about love and the pain, joy, pleasure, and suffering that comes with it. Genre isn’t even a consideration when it comes to any great music. Good art, is good art!
You've probably already heard this, but you should listen to their three albums in order. They flow together so well and you'll notice the callbacks to earlier songs
Def should listen to Euclid next.. prlly my favorite song from sleep token.. rain and are you really okay? is also a great couple songs from the new album !!
The night doesnt belong to god is the song that got me hooked on sleep token a wile back. Honestly the more time you listen to sleep token the more stuck in your head it becomes.
If you're going down a Sleep Token rabbit hole, you're gonna be down there for a while. There's so many varied and interesting songs to check out.
Vore, Love that you want, Alkaline, Fall For Me, and DYWTYLM would be great reviews! Haha

If you're gonna do the whole thing, save their song Euclid for last. That song will hit harder after hearing everything else.
Yes listen to all of their albums first then Euclid
100% yes to this. Euclid is closure in so many ways. It made me so emotional
Bro I cried to Euclid and are you really okay they just captivated me how he just owns the emotion of his voice.
Its the absolute perfect ending. I keep saying to my husband that it gets more emotion out of me than any other.
It’s the one that opened my entire soul. My absolute favorite.
Soul. Passion. Tension. Strained.

I understand that “worship” can be off putting for some, but I see it as the message Vessel is the conduit for is what is being worshipped, not the band or Sleep the deity. This is my opinion at least. Looking forward to more breakdowns!
I was gonna make a suggestion but then you paused and said "eventually we're gonna get to all of em" lol looking forward to more!!
PLEASE keep up with sleep token reactions! I watch you for SB a lot but sleep token is amazing checkout “The summoning” or “chokehold” next please!!
Hey! New to your channel and found you because of this video. Great video! You are in for a real treat with this album. Looking forward to more!
Also, the song Chokehold ties to this song so, certainly listen to that one soon if not next.
Gawd I love the breakdown fade out!🤘🏻
I love your take on music, it's insightful and thought out. Love it!
Keep listining! Entire album is good!
Really enjoyed the break down and your reactions. Rock on 🔥
The track “fall for me” has a great video, and shows how big their range is
I love watching you react to my favorite band. You understand the intracacies and what goes into each song. You should look up some Sleep Token lore and more about this album and their music in general. And I say you just react to each song off the album consecutively lol. The whole album is a masterpiece so experiencing it with each intended track one after the other is the perfect way to listen.
Geniunely surprised you started sleep token but absolutely hyped that you're doing more, looking forward to it!
Let's gooo im ready for this sleep token journey 🖤 worship
Went on that ride with you. Hell yeah brother!
If you're interested in pursuing that Ambient type of metal, you can also search for it as Atmospheric Metal. Great reaction. Love it!
Stank face GOAT right here man 🤘🏻 hahaha this was great!
You've probably already heard this, but you should listen to their three albums in order. They flow together so well and you'll notice the callbacks to earlier songs
