Or even an easy in game way to create prefabs for ourselves in the editor like CS1 had so you can create it once and just plop it wherever would be nice.
We drove through that junction a few years ago, en route to the europa final. I thought at the time it would be good to build. Was steaming at the time (wasn't driving) 😂 and forgot about it. And here it is, brought to life by a Scottish UA-camr.
Can't beat an away day in Europe! Certainly not a final!!I I never made it to Seville though. 😔 2003 edition I'm talking about though 🍀 😉. Didn't fancy taking a crack at it in my clapped out 100k+ mile Vauxhall Calibra 😂 I did drive Glasgow to Rennes in one go for a Europa game though. Never again 🤣
@piccana_ Yeah, pal, they are brilliant. The highs and lows are well worth it. My cousin John did the same journey back then, too. And we stayed in the same hotels.
I am constantly amazed by how efficient and creative these builds are. I have a challenge for you though. How about a functional intersection that is based off an emoji or noticeable shape?
Thank you!! I love a challenge. So, challenge accepted! Haha. I have no idea how I'm going to do it but I'll figure it out. 😂 I'm off on holiday so won't be for a few weeks, but it's going in the to-do list 👍
@@piccana_ This actually came from this video. With your curved road and the roundabouts, it looked a lot like a smiley face. It might work out with grade separation using tunnels.
Curious if you could simulate what the traffic flows are like in a city around 100k population on these builds? They're all amazing and really pretty, just want to make sure they function at least reasonably well under load.
It's all relative I guess. If this is your only interchange in a city of 100k, you're not gonna have a good time. 😁 But if you've got this as part of a network of Interchanges, with plenty of options to get in and out of different areas then you'll be in a much better place. Breaking it down, there's 2 Interchanges here, the trumpet is free flowing and will shift high volumes of traffic anywhere on your highway network. The parclo element, well there's quite a few configurations or alternative designs, but just like most service interchanges, they aren't free flowing. There will be traffic to cross, go though roundabouts or go through traffic lights. So making sure there are sufficient options i.e. enough service interchange nearby to share the traffic load, will be key to keep traffic moving. Also, if you want to see how traffic moves on different parclos, check out YUMBL's video called parclos explained, I think. It's very good. Hope that helps 😃👍
Nice! I've never seen this one before. Have to say, that would be a challenge for sure. I do like a challenge though 😁 I'll save this in my notes for later 💪
For this video I've adjusted it in my video editing software. But you can get very close to this look by just using in game settings and preserve photo mode mod to keep the settings from resetting when you exit photo mode. I'm not going to be at my PC for the next week or so, but if you ping me again later, I'll check what the settings are let you know what they are. 👍 There's not too many setting to adjust
Any of the mods I used were just for decoration. You can do the main build and all the roads with no mods. The cement surfaces were done with the DevUI, you can find some guides on UA-cam if your not sure how to use it. The white lines on the loop areas are just the normal pedestrian paths. 😁👍
I hope you will made video ,how you made cinematic video in cities skylines 2 ,and how you edit this in the game if you made mistake, your video's are so good, want to see how you made this, nobody made video about that . 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Unlikely I'll be making that kind of video as it's more bordering into video production rather than cities skylines 2. I want to keep the channel focused tightly on the game. That said, if you have any questions, just ask in the comments or jump into the discord and ask there. I'll be happy to help out with anything you want to know 😃👍
I can't wait before such beautiful interchanges can be shared in the pdx mods store.
Might get it before the end of the year 🤷♂️

I recognized the thumbnail from your reddit post and clicked immediately, amazing to see how complex interchanges like this are made!
Nice one! Hopefully breaking them down can help other folks build them in their city. If you give it a go, let me know how you get on. 😁💪

Happy to hear you weren't on the bevvy. Could have been a bit tricky getting through this interchange in one piece 😂
@piccana_ 🤣🤣 I drove Lanarkshire to Portsmouth and Dover to Lanarkshire. Was in holiday mode in between 😉

Keep up the good work Piccana. As always very good and inspirational designs.
Cheers bud. 😊 I can see a wee membership badge there. Thanks for joining too 🫡
@@piccana_ You are welcome. Your videos are a big inspiration to me and I learn a lot from you. xxxx
Nice job. Try to enlarge turning radius of the rondabout by connecting the road without snapping.
heard a fellow scotsman playing my fave game and im 100% tuned in. nice video :)
Love that!!!! Cheers bud 😁👍
So good mate! Looks incredible ❤
Ah, thank you! Really appreciate that bud.
My brain still has the mental capacity to build an interchange with more than 4 ways -.- Super glad to have a cookie cutter recipie now
Not too bad to get your head round this one eh? 👌
@@piccana_ absolutely. this one feels like cheating :D

@@zionosphere Yeah, when I was building it, I thought it looked a bit like an Octopus face 🐙 from a certain angle

I wish they had 6 line highways and 3 and 2 highway options without doing divided highway. This is fantastic.
Mods ❤
Thank you! 😁 👍 I've seen screenshots for more road options. Not sure if they have been released yet. I'm not at my PC to check for you.
If you want a challenge, try making the Springfield Interchange outside of Washington DC. If you haven't seen it, dont worry, it won't disappoint 😊

Do you have a settings guide? How do you make your game look so vibrant and bright?

What spannish city did you find all the spaghetti interchanges?
Hi, they are all from Seville 🇪🇸 👍
