He’s not that good lmao. He’s a top tier for sure but he definitely has counter play. I don’t struggle too much fighting him.

Banana guard is not that good in 1v1. Forward air is the only good approach option, all the others are high commitment. The character is REALLY bad at landing and gets juggled forever. Idk, in case anyone played Smash Ultimate here, the character is close to being viable the way Byleth is, except Banana Guard is missing better close-range, a projectile for keeping up pressure, and a hitbox beneath him that isn’t down air.
Cracked in 2v2’s though.
Banana guard players choosing between fair and side special, truly a difficult choice to make.
Idk people who hate on banana guard strike me as people that hate on Ike in smash bros. Both have strong ranged attacks and advantage state, but outside of that their disadvantage is bad and easily loses neutral to most of the casts’ projectiles, shields, and burst options.
Great in 2v2’s tho.

I'm even more surprised to see that y'all didn't compete together here. I hope everything is fine with Nakat and I hope you two are still on good terms. Even if you guys aren't gonna be teaming together this time around man I would urge you to check on him. I couldn't help but notice the backdrop on his recent streams and it doesn't look like he's in the best place he's been in life.

Banana Guard is a demon but in a solid place. His cry is worthless, and his moves are predictable. Like Shaggy, you know that side special is coming just gotta make him wiff it and knock his light ass off the map.
Shaggy is heavy as hell tho.
@unchained8491 Talking about Banana about weight. While Banana also has a charge, it's not as powerful as Shaggy Rage.
Shaggy, on the other hand, is more risk-reward. You have to proc zoinks either by building up space or giving up a sandwhich, and Rage goes away after one attack regardless of whether it lands. So, while Shaggy weighs more, he can be boxed out easier than Banana. Although I ain't a top pro , that's how I deal with those matchups as a WonderWoman/Joker main.
Nah dude the game is so slow its hard to punish these moves now. Especially with this wanky hitboxes
@@xXRsownage I respect the difference of opinion, I played the hell out of the beta but agree with the slower pace PFG came to. In a 2v2 match up it's far easier for me to read both opponents and counterplay more effectively while beta felt more like dodge spam. I think a 15-25% speed increase would be fine just to improve the flow of 1v1s and make these animated characters feel more cartoony but the game was sold around the 2s format and it wasn't all that great in beta imo. I can't speak about janky hitboxes, the only time my attacks don't connect when I feel they should is vs Jake players for some reason or when playing on Dexter's Lab. Might be serverside as I've read other players complain that rollback lags the game for them if they're in an area not near a server.

Void must have an incredibly high IQ. Instantly the best at almost every game he touches while the games are in their infancy. His acquisition is just incomparable.

It had a high playerbase at launch but many are gonna wait for the devs to fix some of the QOL and movement speed issues before returning.
So kinda, but gonna be a slow rise/decline until the devs come out with a patch

is there a reason you don’t use the fishing pole and the Jerry rocket? i find the fishing pole to be really effective while off the map and the rocket is so good for an easy knockout, do you not find them as effective? just wondering

Like, its not a matter of how strong he is, its the fact that he is just two moves: the character. He's just sair and side-b. He doesn't need the entire rest of his moveset.
This is like Ike in the first patch of ultimate, where he just did Nair as a universal option with upairs to juggle. He needs to be reworked to be less one-dimensional as a character.
I feel like banana guard is absolutely unbalanced. Kinda makes it unfun to spectate. Just my opinion though. Side air and fair over and over and over.

No lies told devs had an entire year and still removed a ton of quality of life features servers are still crashing and frames dropping and all the busted brainrot characters get buffed while the ones really need it get nerfed specifically Steven, Garnet, Gizmo, and reindog
