    btw this video isn't sponsored and I didn't even get a free shirt, I just think this is a very cool project!
    Note I'm 6 feet and 188-ish pounds, I'm wearing a Medium at 2:44. I normally wear Large, you can see the Medium is pretty fitted on me.
    Bahzad is 163-ish pounds and in a Medium at the 2:55 mark.
    At 12oz per square yard, the t-shirt is a double heavyweight shirt because it's twice as thick as a heavyweight shirt from anyone else. The hoodie is just under 21oz.

    I got the 701 gsm crewneck and French terry is just OK of a fabric. It's used in a lot of sportswear, but it's not super soft nor very warm.
    The Strike Gold loopwheeled sweater is much softer, also very heavy. Slightly less than this one, but cheaper.
    I am a bit disappointed, but I do like the colour. Still wearing it for longer to make my final decision

    Is there a video where you sort of lay out your philosophy about clothing? Or like a primer on what you look for in your fashion selections.
    I look at selvedge denim and its high price tag, and none of it really makes sense to me. And I don’t really “get” the appeal of a heavy tee shirt or hoodie, at least not to the extent that I get leather jackets and footwear.

    • @Stridewise
      @Stridewise  Рік тому +1

      Good idea, i've been thinking about doing a video like that! i like lighter clothes in the winter but when it's not warm, i definitely appreciate the 'protected' kind of filling you get from thicker clothes. kinda makes you feel very ready for the world, like you have a little layer of armor! i definitely get that it's not for everyone though

    Why do we need thick cotton fabrics? Polyester has come a long way. Polyester fabrics are softer and more comfortable than they were years ago. They don’t fade and can last for years. Polyester/cotton blends are preferred for workwear when it comes down to durability.
