This is the first time I’ve ever finished an entire episode. I was hooked from the beginning! I would like to point out that Nicky Rod definitely is more than meets the eye. I think when he got into jiu jitsu, we all thought he was just brute strength and kind of a meat head lol. But listening to him talk about mental reps and his pre-game ritual and how important it is to be consistent in your routine really made me realize that the dude is just a straight up, elite athlete. It’s gonna be awesome to see how good he gets as his training career goes on! Dude, Nicky Ryan. He’s giving a John Danaher-esque vibe. I’m putting my money on his fate being a full time assassin trainer and eventually even surpassing Danaher and the amount of killers he’s produced. And, of course, fuck Craig Jones 😂

I think Gordon’s GF rubbed the team the wrong way. I mean it’s what I’ve been told. They said to Gordon their issue with her. Course I don’t know, it’s just what people around them say. His girl (sunny) always seemed nice enough to me, tho very quiet. But I wasn’t around her much. So I likely just didn’t see it.

No amount of losses would make me decide to not have Nicky Ryan as my coach or make me not join the Bteam bjj school. The man has trained with the best of the best, period.
Great podcast again. I just wish there was a bit more advice or discussion about how higher belt hobbyists can continue to progress at higher rates of efficiency than just turning up to class.
Essentially that’s the only way you’ll get better though. The more you can train > the more you’ll see progression. You can’t do less and get better the formula just doesn’t make sense.

Great podcast again. I just wish there was a bit more advice or discussion about how higher belt hobbyists can continue to progress at higher rates of efficiency than just turning up to class.
Essentially that’s the only way you’ll get better though. The more you can train > the more you’ll see progression. You can’t do less and get better the formula just doesn’t make sense.
@@mohammeduddin3681 feedback, positional sparring at different intensities, watching footage of your rolling and/or competitions, private lessons etc can lead to more efficient training than just turning up and being a passive learner.
