Hi Lisa, I found your content at the very end of 2024, and it has been a great relief for me as I was quite lost in understanding these certification pathways. I’ve watched your Power Apps video tutorial, and I truly appreciate your teaching style-it’s very clear and convincing. However, I am specifically looking for a tutorial on Business Central. I am eager to know if you have any content regarding the MB-800 certification, as you mentioned about a year ago that you might try this. Thank you so much, and I wish you all the best!
I have experience as a SQL Data Analyst and developer but recently have been working more in IT management roles. I am thinking about the following based on your great video. I love making model-driven and canvas apps but want to learn as much as I can about how to be an effective leader in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 space. My thoughts are to do these: Did I miss any and/or would you change any? and why? 1) MB910 - Fundamentals 2) MB210 - Functional Consultant (Associate level) :Sales 3) MB230 - Functional Consultant (Associate level :Customer Service 4) MB-260 - Microsoft Customer Data Platform Specialist (Data Engineer, Dat Analyst, Scientist, Func Consultant) NB 5) PL900 - intro fundamentals 6) PL-200 - Platform and Dataverse 7) PL-600 - Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (Prereq: Either power platform func consult/dev assoc 8) MB-800 Microsoft Certified Dynamics 365 business central functional consultant
So there will be no Marketing related certifications going forward? Are there marketing automation features in Dynamics 365 like email marketing and social media marketing?
Thank you Lisa. I am new in IT career. I just passed my MB 910 exam today. I'm condused on what CRM field to take next according to the job market. I am envisaging customer service or the newly merged customer experience analyst course. Please, any opinion?
This is exactly what I needed, thank you Lisa! I’d like to see how you prepare yourself for the MB-920 ERP exam. This is the one I am thinking about taking. Thanks again 😊
Do any of the exams cover working with the backend of dynamics 365 CRM. Looking for a staff member who is interested in developing his career IT/CRM coordinator
Lisa, which Microsoft D365 certification is relevant for Beginners, Finance professionals from Financial Planning & Analysis?? I'm still confuse which one is relevant.
Yes, you can start wherever you like, the exams don't have pre-requisites. but if you want to get the certification that requires multiple exams - you need to go back and do 300 to get them.
This is a great video and finally make me think its times to get some of these certifications - I am trying to get though the stuff in Microsoft learn now - but I can't get the sandboxes working for me, doesn't matter if I am using my personal or work account - I get a message that I am "not a member of this organization" anyone have a tip or suggestion on how I can fix this in Microsoft learn? I feel like I must be missing something easy.
Usually “not a member of the organisation” means you are tying to sign in using a browser where you are logged in with a different account. Try an incognito/ in private browser then log in with the account you used to set up your sandbox.
Helo Lisa, thank you for your gread explanation of the certification path to Dynamics 365. I searched several hours for exams and learning paths for Dynamics Nv 2018. Can you give me a hand? Kind regards,.Werner
Thank you so much for this video. It's pretty useful. I really need it because I'm planning to change my professional career. This video is an excellent guide for 🎉
Thanks Lisa. You got great experiences on this. Thanks for the cast.. I would like to transition into D365 FO. Does FO mean finance and SCM? And Is transitioning easily possible given my background as an accountant and very importantly, what are the likelihood of getting a JOB as a consultant in this area with the theoretical knowledge. Any guidance will be gratefully appreciated. The fear lies in the job market possibilities.
Yes, FO is Finance, Operations, Project Management, Supply Chain Management. Most of the people who work in this technical space do have a background in accounting, so that's the right starting point. You'll need more than theoretical knowledge though, it's definitely worth doing some skilling and certification on the actual tools. Good luck.
Your brain must be extremely sharp! This all seems very intimidating. I applied for a job that wants me to be proficient in Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc are no problem except I havent used pivot tables etc in a while, since university) including D365 so I'm doing research on it. Do companies provide training on D365?
It really depends on the role and type of company as to whether you'd get D365 Training. most organisations would have their own version specifically configured to their needs so they should at least provide training/onboarding for that. If you want more depth now though, have a look at Microsoft Learn and filter by Dynamics 365 = aka.ms/learn
Thanks for your video Lisa, I'm on my way to CRM path, by any chance did you went through Power BI certifications? Do you suggest to learn or get certificate around this?
The Power BI certification is PL-300, and it appears in some of the other Power Platform certifications - I've covered it in my other video here: ua-cam.com/video/hp5mIia91VQ/v-deo.html&lc=UgxDvMAaiIneSve6ZDZ4AaABAg
Hi All, D365 these certificates can help a lot on changing field without much related work experience or it is something good to have on top of related working experience? what do u think?
Hello Lisa, can I rely on Microsoft self-testing testing. For example, if I score 90/100 does it show any strength that I can confidently pass a real exam? & Thank you
I’ve found the questions in the exams quite different (harder) from the self test but if you’re getting 90% on the self test that’s still a good sign you’re on top of it.
Thank u! Quite useful as always 🎉 Do you know something about SharePoint Framework development? One suggestion for a future video is a comparison between those two dev platforms. Which one should I choose for each scenario? Because Canvas Apps and MS teams can manipulate SP data, so I don't see an scenario where SPFx is the obvious winner. Do you think that PowerApps is going to replace SPFx in no-legacy solutions?
Hello Lisa, I wish you answer my query. I have got 6 years of experience in supply chain.I want to start my career as functional consultant. will that be good for me? Which certificate i should go for in the beginning? Need your suggestion
Many consultants in dynamics 365 came from the background related to the software; so you should look at the F&O certifications with the supply chain management speciality. Good luck.
Hi Lisa, Thanks again for this video. I would say that let's challenge yourself with MB-910 CRM Fundamentals, which is the one that I'm planning to take. So, it will be too much appreciated to see how you are preparing yourself for this exam. Also, if you wanna an extra challenge after MB-910, let's go for MB-920 you will cover the full Dynamics Fundamentals.😊 Anyways, thanks for you passion for sharing your knowledge and expertise.

And most of the time people just use certs to get the role they want and sometimes don't care about how they obtain it. As they believe they'll figure it out on the job...On a sidenote I thought it was Amy Schumer for a second...I'm sure you get that nonsense all the time....Great Review😊

It’s by itself because it doesn’t commonly work with the other applications, it stands alone as a small business solution.
