I've been studying and teaching English for over 35 years. This is the first time I can see such a clear explanation about pronunciation rules. Very good teacher:
Thank you for the good lesson. I didn't know the word "close" sometimes means a road. The phrase "on the loose" is new to me. I learned a lot again today! Every time I come to your lesson, I enjoy everything you give to us. I appreciate not only your English lesson, but your aura of elegance and gentility!

I have been studying English language for years and this is the first time I hear about this difference in pronounciation, I'm very thankful that I found this clever lady who teaches perfect English. I will be watching more of your videos, Professor.
This is so well done. I felt like I went back 20 years and was sitting in my English class, surrounded by my classmates. I was even picturing what those classmates were thinking and how they were processing the lecture, as if I were in their heads. Such a reminiscent feeling.
Oh my! I didn't really know nor ever I noticed about the pronunciation. Mainly, I just pronounced only "z" every where, until today when I came across this video of yours. Well! Thanks Gill. It was really helpful. I love your videos and learn from you. Sending you love from India💕😁👍
It's never too late to learn(over 60)! you teach how to make the difference and be proud to have learned it. Thanks for your very good lessons!!! I'll follow you.
I'm totally blown away, I've been researching about s vs z patterns, but haven't seen this tip yet and today I was wondering why sometimes I hear "use" and sometimes I hear "uze". Thanks a lot for the nice lesson!
Thank you Miss Gill, what a wonderful human being you are. Hope you have a good life and health, thanks for teaching this part of english phonetics. Hugs and kisses from Argentina!

I'm Swedish and I find it hard to make the z sound as we don't have the z sound in Swedish! We pronouce z like s! If it's a foreign word it's sometimes pronounced ts, but never z. Now at least I know when the s in English words should be pronounced z! Now I've just got to practice the sound z! Great lesson, thanks!👍
regarding to the verb (use) I think the adj/adv and nouns they're all guided by the same rule, so it might sound as the noun (usage). love your lessons very much, Thank you...
