Now i want to visit Florida just to have a training session with him...
Find a nice wall, take your phone with you & hit away until your heart is content..
your be a world beating in no time👌
have fun & Good luck..
With her ;)
He makes you know what to expect from one on on lessons!
You joking right
I love how patient you are with her despite her just being a beginner. Your encouragement towards her shows your own understanding of the sport. You understand that it's a really difficult sport to get into yet you give her the confidence to become an even better player. I hope she understands what an amazing opportunity it is to have a great coach such as yourself!
What she's doing here with all the info coming at her at once is incredible, keeping in mind she's never really played before. Credit to the patient coach who is full of heavy info, but knows how to disclose it smoothly and effectively. I wonder if the student knows about the video and can check her own movements and lesson on this platform. Awesome Job coach!
Now THAT is one incredible tennis teacher! The kind I would definitely want to have to teach my kids.
Please show more videos with this student as she progresses.
preferably with a bikini on !
I started playing tennis in 1996. I played until the beginning of college and then I had to stop. A lot of study and work... 3 months ago I managed to return. Thanks to your videos, I managed to improve my fundamentals and yesterday I already won my first match of this return. Thank you very much! Great lessons, excellent teacher.
Very cool to see a complete and absolute beginner start their tennis journey.
Niko ti si pravi trener! Bravo!
A bright, attentive student, positively responding to an enlightening mentor and hopefully, inspired by her progress, Chrys will advance further.
If you doubt, don't. Listen to him. He's doing well, as a teacher. Do exactly what he's asking. :)
She's gonna be killing the ball soon. Good coaching
What a great first lesson !! I want to teach my wife with these steps !! You're a super star, Nik.
A good coach is one who can simplify everything for you. This is a very good video to watch and learn from.
"Yeah, you got like pretty....(*Brain mid sentence - 'Hmmm, actually I better not tell this young lady she has big hands')....b.....long fingers."
You re an amazing teacher. There were a lot of useful tips I can now use when trying to explain certain aspects of tennis to beginners .
Yea I can really relate on the changing grips early on part cause when I started playing all of my strokes were hit with an eastern forehand grip and I had to change all of it later on and it got pretty hard
Thank you for posting this video. I started playing when I was 10, and now I’m trying to teach my sons. I remember being taught to start in a closed stance with the racquet all the way back and strike with one long forward motion. My sons are whiffing and getting wristy swings. I’m going to try this open stance with racquet lined up already . It makes sense that its easier to line up the racquet head and ball in an open stance for first timers.
Once again Nik, this is absolutely perfect for my homework, keep sharing these wonderful resources for tennis coach students!
Great lesson coach. Really amazing how fast someone can progress with good coaching
in the 1980.... no money to take tennis lessons... become good self learning . but street tennis can never fully compete with tennis lesson like this. Thank you for sharing the tennis sport to the mass.... while making it fun and easy without costing an arm and leg just to learn how to play tennis.
Great Coach Thanks for the lessons, we need more good beginner lessons like this, Thank You Very Much !
Fantastic lesson and very good coaching. When you love tennis this it’s the principle commitment. Patient 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
Amazing coach and a talented beginner. Bravo. I hope she continues improving.
Great beginner lesson. Imma stay tuned to see her progression.
Very interesting approach of starting almost at contact point and just showing the forward motion. And later letting her take a little more backswing to gain racquet speed. I guess it simplifies a little more. I do like allowing the beginner to start a little bit farther back, but I completely agree it is easier to add to the swing than take away if they start doing things wrong. Really good job! Spot on as usual.
I mean look at her at 9:30, she is hitting smoothly with topspin and following through correctly, correct grip, looks natural... I mean results don't lie. I have never gotten a true beginner with results that clean that quickly.
It’s crazy how much better people are after only one lesson.
Very good lesson, I will try to tell the same recommendations to my friend who is new. Thank you
Nice to see literally the first steps. Please some more videos with her.
lol... nice tights... Please some more videos with her :-)
@@TWN321 come on man...hahah
@@pb-animation4435 ... Its the "B"-ooty of tennis..
As a fellow tennis coach, I feel that flinch when she's about to serve at you 😂 been hit in the face before by someone who did almost the exact same thing!
That was the best part of the video. Loved how he braced himself lol 😂
hahaha.. I had myself a chuckle when he braced ;))
Fantastic lessons. I have just picked up my racquet after 20 years and want to go and have some lessons to get me technique right before hitting too many balls but these lessons are brilliant, better than I have ever had. Keep up the great work!!!
Will do, thank you
Nice and simple. I will scrap what I've been doing w my girls and try these fundamentals. thank you!
Nick, you're the Einstein of coaches!!! Here's to you having 500,000 subscribers soon. Great job as always.
Well done Chrys! I'm also as equally interested as Nikola to know what you were learning in those group lessons. I remember when I started tennis and the whole thing felt like gibberish to me. It'll all make sense very soon! Just keep at it!
I wish coach Nik could come to South Africa to help us here to refine our game!
I wish I can practice with Nik. I follow all his lessons and all of them are excellent.
I learned a lot from this lesson. Thank you!
„Yeah you got like pretty… Long Fingers“
Lol 😂
This is really good and helpful. Thank you
I do hope she knows how lucky she is to have such a great coach on the court from Day One. As for me, I began by hitting against the wall all by myself.
I don’t know about that he’s talking down to her and not explaining enough. Very disrespectful with Ana he’s a lot nicer.
@@marcodeluca4068 are you trying to imply he's a racist?
@@marcodeluca4068 oh, come oooon, why don't you see how much he helped her game. And in just one lesson he taught 3 fundamental moves. In a such short period of time! And he supports after every mistake, after even very little progress.
Great video! I am thinking of getting tennis lessons in the summer :)
Love your stuff. I do high school coaching, so if you ever have one please (of course with parent's consent) give lessons to one that struggles, like not even being able to make contact with the ball.
this is really helpful, thanks!
Good job Nik!
She's pretty good. I hope she keeps playing.
She is definitely a fast learner!
I just started lessons a week ago and I sooo love your teaching style! You taught me a lot just lying in bed!😆 You're awesome! 👏🏽😍 One question, my instructor taught me that holding the racquet was "closed", but you called it "neutral"...are they the same?
Thank you. It’s not the same. Closed means the strings are facing the ground
@@IntuitiveTennis Thank you so much for the clarification! You're the best!
Nik, you have the patience of an "Angel".
You should shoot more videos with her. I want to see her progress like Anna.:) And she is physically lookin good so she can be better at tennis
one of the easiest and most wonderful lesson for beginer
yesterday i had my first tennis lession and i did exactly the same mistakes hahah thanks for the video
I ilke your communication with students, Good connection
I see what you did there ;)
I literally taught my son how to play house league with these videos. Thank you coach!
awesome man
Thanks Chrys, hope that was fun for you! Practice, practice.
You knew what you were doing with that thumbnail
Yoooo just wanted to pop in and say I’m a beginner as well and I love these videos you dropped I’m taking so many mental notes right now so I can practice the next time I play!
🙌🙌
Damn Nick she listens and learns fast.. Show more on her development please
She is a quick learner
you kidding? she is a dead end lmao
Another heroine in the ITU!
Very good
Best coach
Great beginner lesson very in depth. I have a question regarding how to prevent being too wristy with the forehand? Any tips?
👉 ua-cam.com/video/1fuKj6rRDw4/v-deo.html
Really good training ❤
Thank you!
The best vedio for begginers
Is fun 🎾
Very nice lesson and you both accomplished a lot. In keeping with your great intuitive style, consider kinesthetic learners "feel" a shot better than "see" the concept. I like the directions on finishing the forehand witht the back of the hand against the cheek. Same on the backhand. Helpful! Why start in full open stance/square to the net instead of partially turned? Best,
Damn, nick got a baddie for us here in the building right now🔥
You are my dream coach
a few more lessons and then... a match between Chrys and Anna! make it happen coach
Always an amazing coach! My only question is why did you have her facing straight ahead in her FH? I know tennis has been moving towards more of an open stance, but I've always heard: turn turn turn. Then you can actually rotate though the ball.
ua-cam.com/video/bJe7dOoBlW4/v-deo.html
Are you teaching Eastern grip or semi western for the forehand ? I couldn’t tell. Thanks
does someone know her tennis racquet brand? i just love it hahah
it's a bit different from korean lesson!! interesting!!
I love this game
Only a little more and I will try to get you a new number
So impressive! Thanks for sharing. Do you happen to remember how long this lesson was & how long you spent on each exercise? 🙏
It was one hour total
@@IntuitiveTennis awesome! Thank you!!
Nik, on return of serve for single hand backhand, what grip do you recommend they start off with, continental or forehand grip?
Could you also do a video on how to hit high short balls with heavy pace. I find that when swinging I'm not catching enough of ball and swiping across it

I'm gonna show this to my friend who just started too
Do you have a video on showing how to judge if someone has the right grip size? Didn’t get what you mean about the finger placed from other hand.
I explain in more detail in a future video
Please help me I have a problem in my tennis game I am struggling to put the serve in the service box either it’s net or long fault like No mans land or baseline .I generate good power but recently I and struggling with this .It started when I started service and volley practice as my coach told and now I am in very bad form for putting the serve in box so please help me with this

Very well done lesson. Keeping it simple. Just questions about the serve portion. For the forehand and backhand you showed your student the correct grip. In the video there was no mention of the continental grip on the serve and it looked like she was using the forehand grip. Was that intentional or did you just cut out of the video a discussion of the grip for the serve? So do you feel for a beginner it is a step too far to ask them to use a continental grip? Thanks.
Continental grip right away which she was using
Can you explain the reasoning behind teaching the forehand from an open stance? The program I'm teaching with now makes a point of teaching beginners to rotate into a closed stance. Just wondering what your next progressions might be. Do you move into semi-open in the next lesson and then closed? Thanks!
I explain it here at 12:55 mark
ua-cam.com/video/TBlybgcwSXg/v-deo.html
When she started the backhand, do you think it would help if you told her to move her feet if she needs to?
Nik: Can you explain why tennis coaches teach the groundstrokes before the volley? I would think it is better for beginners to start with the volley since (1) it is mechanically a much simpler stroke and (2) it reduces the most difficult challenge in tennis--predicting exactly where the ball will be when I go to strike it. The volley removes the variables of court surface and largely reduces the issue of reading ball spin because the ball is struck before it hits the court surface. I would think that women beginners would benefit from starting with the volley even more than men because women tend to have played fewer (or no) ball sports as youngsters and this increases their challenge in predicting ball behavior after bouncing.
Very good George. I rally volleys with beginner juniors prior to groundstroke rallies.
If I was in Florida in December could we like have a practice session
Coach what pure drive do you use?and about the grip,my hands are for 3,but for some reason i like the 2 more, and I have big hands, even the 3 is just, but I create more top spin with 2 as funny as it sounds

Hi, I think good job
Nice coach! How long will it take to learn the basics posture and movement etc. for a beginner? How many times weekly of the lessons is better?Thank you
It depends on talent of students and frequency/quality of training
From where i can get the trolley for tennis balls.
what's the ready position grip? (the forehand or the ackend one ?)
Your bottom hand should be in the forehand position and your top should be ready for the backhand.
Hi NIk, I noticed you had her test the grip size. I have very short fingers - but I have a standard grip size. Is there a measurable way to determine this ?
I cover it in detail in an upcoming video
@@IntuitiveTennis great! thanks.
Not exactly Anna....but she will do!!:)) Just kidding great lesson and she is gonna be great
Love ur Videos, thanks! What kind of shoes do you wear there? They are awesome. Cant find them in the internet so far. :(
They are discontinued air max zoom vapors
@@IntuitiveTennis Thanks! :)
You can build a bad muscle memory on the grip ?
Just curious. Are you wearing a magnetic bracelet? If so. Does it work? I have shoulder pain!
I’ve been wearing magnetic bracelets for 30 years. Not sure if it works, but so far so good
Am a rank beginner who has taken lessons, but I keep sending my forehands to the neighboring courts, like a baseball line drive., What could I be doing wrong?
What about Anna?
Are u still giving her lessons?
Beautiful beginner 😃
👍
Do we always have to change the grip when doing backhand?
Yes 👍
What a good coach he is
