For sure these guys are all idiots. Packer was probably paying his old secretary and the safe safe to keep the heat off his back for the 5 million he got insurance. And he still had the gold
Libel: statement or representation published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt. (2) : defamation of a person by written or representational means. 😅💸
No. 😑They didn't put in the combination and use a cutting torch afterwards to make it appear 'broken'. Why exactly would they do that? The cutting torch would open it. and if the secretary knew the combo they couldn't prove she was involved. They would have used the combo and left immediately. Why do so many people think this is some massive conspiracy when its very clear what happened??????
The going back and forth of this story tells me the writer is trying so hard to keep viewers interested, going for the mystery hook at every turn, but the story is interesting enough as it is, the excessive "flashbacks" are very unnecessary and takes away from the story. This isn't Wattpad.
Very definitely not a thermic lance. A single photo of the outside would confirm that. But the lack of fire all over the place pretty much proves it wasn't.
Regarding this documentary i only know what I've seen HOWEVER If Pat had a drinking "problem" it would've manifested in such a way as to impede her work. I have worked in high paying sales and single guys with decent incomes have been known to burn the candle at both ends- which, from the perspective of an understanding boss, is fine IF it doesn't affect operating ability. Packer should've known this and stepped in to prevent the loss of his long standing loyal employee
Idk if Australian’s tell stories better, or if y’all are more crazy with the crimes that happen. Either way I really love watching stories from Australia. American’s are so boring, or the people who tell the stories don’t tell them well ☝🏻🤷🏼♀️
Australia has a lengthy and colourful criminal past with no shortage of characters to tell the stories. Check out “Forensic Investigators” it’s a great Australian crime series
All it takes is for someone to know were the safe is heaps of people over the years would know that and some one to know paper had that gold put two and two together and a man that can get in .it may have been a chemical break in. Iv heard of safes being opened that way .and the dumb cops thought it was gased open
There's no way anybody can use an acetylene torch in an enclosed area without been noticed. I used to work metal back when I was young, and can tell you that those torches are noisy, bulky and heavy. Week end or not, is virtually impossible (and risky) to enter the building with this kind of equipment. For obvious reasons the other torch the police wrongly believed it was used, would have taken more than one person to move it around, let alone all the noise and the fumes. Right from the beginning the police was so out of clues that it is comical. Mr. Parkson should have been the main suspect, but we the "commoners" know very well how gentle these parasites are treated. Good show nevertheless. Greetings from Toronto.
All considered if the man is capable of stealing over 600lbs of gold it wouldn't be hard to get an oxy-acetylene torch into there. This is absolutely possible to do with an appropriate torch tip, steady hands and knowledge of a safe.
You can get small tanks that fit in a backpack. You really haven't thought through your argument. Yes, they're noisy, but if you're isolated from people by 100' and maybe four walls, it would be like a weird popping hissing sound that may not be identifiable, and you could probably get away with some shit.
What's this pro-crime bullshit? She had the right to steal 283 kg of gold because her feelings were hurt upon getting fired?! Just think, for a moment, about this nonsensical, pro-crime "argument" and be ashamed of yourself!
Come on. Everyone knows Packer had himself robbed for the insurance.
bloody hell........ finally someone who speaks some sense

name an insurance company that will underwrite a policy on an undisclosed, large amount of gold in a 50 year old safe, I'm interested.
@@travismiller5548they literally say in the show that he made $5 million in insurance money from the theft

Malcolm Turnbull? Wasn't he Australia's Prime Minister at some point? Oh yes he was.
Yaps
Had to be a smelter somewhere, maybe the Lamborghini holds the key…
or maybe, just maybe, the gold remained in the building hidden - payback!
Most excellent and enjoyed..
The secretary new the combination , and they made it appear to be broken ! She knew everything.she had to no it !

There's actually a greater never told story. You'll have to look it up, and it's possibly the saddest one too. Never forget what they took from you.

Why cover the eyes of criminals??
Is he (X) a criminal in this case? No proof of any wrong doing.

It was a thermal lance he used.all u need is oxy small cut needs a small bottle of oxy .lot of smoke an noisy hi from the uk
