Me and my boyfriend went to Confuzzled 2024 in Birmingham this week, and omg, it was amazing, I felt at home among my own kind, my own kin, and all the furs I met were always so nice, kind, and loving, I can be myself, among people like myself. I made alot of memories, and had alot of hugs with most fursuiters I met and they were all so kind about it and happy. To the events, to the kind loving community..... I love this fandom, and confuzzled being my first furcon, it's opended my eyes to how awesome this fandom is. To everyone who sees this and went to Confuzzled 2024, thank you so much for being so awesome and thank you to everyone in the furry fandom for being the best bunch of animals you can be 😊
Aw I'm so glad you had fun at Confuzzled, I wanna go there sometime cause I'm yet to hear a story of someone not enjoying themselves there! Keep being fuzzy!
Aw it’s absolutely amazing what people have been able to come up with! I mean a lot of furries I follow on twitch are artists and they always blow my mind with what they make!
1:14 my biggest influence in joining the furry community was my older sister, found out about her being a furry when I was young, and I hadn't heard about it yet and I was like "ooh this is really cool! My biggest influence was one of my friends. She introduced me to the fandom when she found out about my interest in anthropomorphic animals. I decided to join soon after. It's been almost a year since I joined and I'm really happy to be a part of this amazing community.

I can conclude that is a matter of individual and group effort to avoid such pitfalls. Yet, I must say that in its basis of rules and guideline there is not inherent wrong with furries and their community.
My big influence in me becoming a furry was memes. I just started seeing memes relating to furries and checked it out on Reddit. I’ve been writing my furry sci-fi spy thriller ever since. I want to do more in the community but, I’m anxious about my family finding out as I want to confuse them with my weirdness. I have zero friends or self-confidence but, I don’t feel lonely thanks to this wonderful community
Aw I’m glad you feel comfortable within the community! If it’s any help my parents found out by going on one of my twitch streams and instead of judging me on it, they bought me wolf related things on my birthday and are willing to listen to me explain stuff like shapeshifting furries and furry terminology :3 Keep being you!
1:18 mine imagination. from times when i was still 5-6 y.o. i remember to imagine self as "a dog but that uses hands and talks and plays". funny is that i had no media to influence me exept for (boring and outdated) books from previous century. imagination alone brought me throught the dirties paths, but that learned me how not to get muddy. also i had a lot of freetime to imagine self playing with dogs, who were mine only real friends at most point of mine life (till this year. does not matter.). funny how i discovered furry fandom 11 years after becoming a furry :з
I became a furry through my bf we met on second life. I didn't know what furries was. But when explained to me I was very accepting 😌. And 4 weeks later I was furry. I like it for the community, creativity, and sense of belonging. Though I do have social anxiety mildly and being introverted can make it hard to make or keep friends I still love being apart of the fandom
Nice video! I couldn't agree more with your opinions. My only problem with the furry fandom growing is that it might make events harder to attend with it really being crowed really but thats about it.
Overall people shouldn’t rely on cons to have fun in the fandom, people can just be happy by consuming furry content like videos, movies and games. However you’re right the bigger the fandom is the more crowded the cons can be.
Although I consider myself a furry (even if it took a very long time to accept or express it outwardly), I don’t really consider myself part of the fandom itself because I’ve never had much of an interest in engaging with others about it. For quite a lot of reasons, I just don’t super relate to a lot of the interests and such of the larger community (not big on suits as an example), and I’m just not the sort of person to be part of communities (I am exceptionally introverted), so I just look at the things I like from afar and avoid all the stuff that makes me uncomfortable, of which there is a lot of. I’m just happy to be finally be at a point with myself where I don’t feel as self conscious about expressing it. And even if I don’t want to be a part of the fandom per se, I still greatly appreciate that it helped me as an autistic and very frustrated ace-spec (probably demi) person figure out things about myself, and is on the whole a great place for people who don’t fit the norm to run into things they might need, even if they didn’t know they needed them. What got me into all of it really is that for reasons that are impossible to articulate, fuzzy animal people just make me feel good. And a big part of what keeps me around lately as I’ve come to understand myself better is that seeing the wealth of wholesome gay furry content just makes me feel a little hopeful and warm.
Well that’s the amazing thing about being a furry, you can be as much or as little social as you want! Being a furry is about having fun and an interest in anthropomorphic animals, nothing more, nothing less! Keep being you!!
What got me into the fandom was when I was camping Around early to mid September of last year and I was playing fetch with one of my relatives dogs named Rip who was about 2 years old and he ended up get hit by a car that came flying Dow the road doing at lest 35-40 which caused to become somewhat depressed I couldn’t stop thinking about him, about a week after that I had to stay home from because I was sick during this time I was thinking about what I would do for Halloween that year but all I could think of was Rip which resulted in me wanting to do some kind of dog costume and I ended doing a ton of research on the fandom before making my decision and it was the best decision I made as I noticed a huge improvement in my over mood and joining the fandom helped me get through having to watch rip get hit. Side note: Rip did survive being hit and ended up with a punctured lung and 2 crushed vertebrae in his neck made a full recovery and is back to being a very energetic dog and I have to say he is probably one of the strongest little pups I have ever seen since now it almost like the whole thing never happened.
Tá fáilte romhat! I've seen that growth with a few local cons over the past few years needing to find bigger spaces, and even the VR Furry community. (Though I'd probably get a bit quiet around a crowd that large due to being more shy) What got me into the fandom was discovering Furry UA-cam videos featuring fursuit parades and skits from other Furry UA-camrs, which led me to Furry Amino at the time and some local fur groups and meets.
Ooooh have you a list of furry UA-camrs you enjoy? :3 yeah I think a lot of con problems would be helped by going to a larger location but I’m sure the fuzzbutts will figure it out :3
My biggest influence for joining the furry community was Animal Jam Classic. I technically drew furries and had fursonas before knowing what it was. I would draw and make story lines for my animal jam characters, and one day someone asked me if I was a furry while I was drawing my AJ characters in school. Not knowing what that was, I looked it up and the rest was history!
Haha it’s interesting where life takes us sometimes! And must have been weird when you realised there’s a whole community for the art you enjoy making!
Only recently joined the fandom and attended my first London Fur Meet with my boyfriend, who's been a furry and fursuit maker for a long while, and I loved it! It's such a fun and welcoming community and I'm proud to be part of it! Would later go to MCM ComicCon that just went by in my fursuit, again with my bf! It's a lot of fun!
Aw that is super awesome! I’m glad you had a fun experience, and honestly fursuiting is so much fun although remember to keep hydrated :3 I made that mistake haha
My biggest influence was my own pursuit of happiness or at least comfort. I say this because the majority of my life has been a combo of depression and health problems. One of the reasons for this is due to the way I grew up makes it hard to have regard for others lives and feelings including my own since every time I’d try to open up at home about things that are bothering or hurting me my parents would basically either get mad at me or tell me to suck it up and deal with it. Ik they’re not trying to be mean they just don’t know how to deal with emotions. But it still messed me up and any emotional development I’ve made since then I made myself and some thanks to my ex. I was aware of the hate furrys get before I became one but what hooked me in was seeing how everyone was so supportive and caring to each other I feel like if I ever shown up to a gathering I wouldn’t be treated as the nobody. I found a place I can be comfy and maybe even happy. I still find it awkward to admit in person but on the inside I know The only other person I’ve ever admitted I am one without fear is my ex she helped me feel a little more comfortable and happy despite her not being a furry. Maybe i should bring this up in my next therapy session. I hope one day when I get my own place I can be active in the community and or even form a friend group within it and maybe meet up? i just don’t want to be alone anymore
I’m really glad you found a place where you can really be yourself! That’s what being a furry is all about! Just take everything a step at a time and know that you are enough being you, whether it’s inside or outside the furry community! Follow your happiness!
My biggest influence back in the mid 2000s when I was a teenager and ever since Cartoon Network camp Lazlo and my gym partner’s a monkey airing that long ago, I’ve been really into having a huge interest at animals to the point by the end of my high school years, I was doing cartooning, but now for a living in making my own graphic novel about being who is disabled, but learns to cope with everything at Undertakes in his life and tries his best just get through life as someone who is species dysphoric, by pretty much all species in a stampede-like fashion.
I wonder how many of these are just trendsters that join for a bit just to fit in and otherwise just make things unpleasant for others before they move on. Kinda like what happened with bronies
True, there are a lot of people who just want to cause as much chaos as possible, and unfortunately it’s down to us to show that it’s not the case! All we can do is counteract with kind acts!
I got into the fandom when I was searching for things that I could only find in it. To keep it brief, anything that would go counter to what's being called "Doomerism" nowadays. I was already into watching V-Tubers, and I was also into Yuru-chara, the Japanese amateur mascot scene. I also had lifelong furry affinities, so when I came across Furry V-Tubers on Twitch, I decided to stick around and just get accultured to it.
From what I notice on what is really propels the furry community popularity I think is when covid hits and everyone is stuck at home and also just more furry's making content(specifically anime, movies) oh and also furry's in high positions.
Definitely a lot more furries were on twitch and UA-cam and it also happens to be the same year that beastars and BNA released on Netflix so that’s a good point!
Growing up as a therian always made it easier for me to relate to anthropomorphic characters, rather than ordinary humans, in media. Disney's Robin Hood, Fox and the Hound, a popular Swedish kids' comic with all anthropomorphic characters, Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock were all highly influential to me. The moment I got on the Internet for the first time in December 1995, the first thing I was searching for was to see if there were other therians like me, or if I was the only one in the world. I instantly found other therians, and I was overjoyed! I also found the furry community at the same time. What I love the most about the furry community is that there is so much creativity, love and acceptance between us. Also, unlike most fandoms where everyone are fans of some already created characters, we are fans of each others' creativity and creations, fans of each others' characters, or just simply fans of each other for the ones we are. I loved this video and I hope things gets less stressful for you!
Oooh that’s actually a good point, where some fandoms are “about me and my character” like in games, a lot of the furry community is all about “aw look how cute YOUR character is” which is actually pretty nice! Also thanks silky I really appreciate it! I’m hoping things chill out too haha I appreciate your support btw
Ayy fellow Scot hi from the Highlands lol omg not the Patrick Thistle mascot lmao am just glad we got a cute mascot for Caley (which is very furry appealing tbh)
My biggest influence? Well, strangely enough, there wasn't any. I just learned that something called the furry fandom exists, googled it, looked at the very first picture, and got instantly hooked. I knew right away I wanted to join the fandom. It's hard to explain the weird excitement and positivity I experienced for a good week or more afterward, and It was truly unexpected as I'd never felt this way before. It's been over 3 years since then, and I'm glad I'm a part of this community, which has literally improved some aspects of my life
Aw thank you shadow! I really want to try and push out positive stuff on UA-cam because I see a lot of negativity around and wanna have a little outlet for some positivity :3
I think what made me want to join the fandom was The click XD seeing his videos on furries just kinda made me go "This looks like a fun place to be" and I never looked back
My biggest influence for becoming a furry was the starfox series of games. Playing Starfox 64, I felt like Fox McCloud was one half of me. With Starfox Assault, we met Panther Caroso, who was the other half of me. And last with Starfox Adventures, we met Krystal...I doubt you need an explanation of why.
My reason for joining was...casual. I made a narrative. In it are some racial concepts, from humans, to eldritch, to humanoid dragons. So came in the discord call with friends: Me: "Ima make a suit for comic one and just play as one of my own Isslisai characters" Friend: "Careful or people will think you're a scalie" Me: "The fuk is a scalie?" *Looks stuff up, encounter furries, scalies, skavens, etc* Me: "Welp. Guess I am". ...And then I just took the plunge. No regrets were made. Friends are still my friends. All is good.
Hahahahaha I love this origin story so much! Had a weirdly similar experience when people started calling me a furry on stream cause I played a furry mod and I just kinda leaned onto it
Not a furry but I guess I've been on the sidelines for... ages now lmao. I found the community back in ~2009-2010 through friends sharing hardstyle/dubstep artists. Can't remember exactly how but I came across Furries In A Blender/Renard and the Vulpvibe label back then and liked their music. Made some irl friends who are furries a bit later in high school and are still friends with today but never got into the whole fursona thing. I dunno why. I respect the heck out of you guys though.
Aw thank you for being so open minded, lots of people see furries and have already created an idea of what they’re like before they even research them! The world could do with a lot more of people like yourself!
My biggest influence was my love for bats and other creatures with flappy wings. I always wanted to have wings like this and then you find the right pictures on the internet. Down goes the rabbithole. Ha ha
Yes, I have to admit that before I actually took the time to look into what the furry community is, I only knew about the jokes and the lazy stereotypes - I am glad I educated myself to the reality of what you guys are. (A friend is an artist who does furry stuff, he's an amazing artist, and that was the first I'd ever heard the term "furry" in that context!) You look like you have so much fun doing something you love, and that is a great thing.
Aw thanks iana! Yeah there’s a lot of misinformation about furries because the very vocal minority who cause trouble! I honestly do appreciate you taking the time to research before forming your opinions :) keep being you!
I became a furry in 2017 because of beanie boos lol... I was obsessed with this specific one called Precious. I drew her all the time and eventually I started drawing her anthrophomorphic because I had a headcanon that she was a baker. animation memes accelerated it and 7 years later i am a professional degenerate 🔥/silly
Furries are one of the most accepting groups I have ever seen. Age, race, and gender are not typically considered; it's who you are as an individual and how you treat others that matters. There is so much creative talent from all walks of life, and that's the true magic of the fandom for me.
Acceptance and inclusion of people is such a strong message that I’m proud of being a furry for! Yeah it’s not always perfect and like I say there are some bad apples, but as individuals all we can do is keep displaying love and prove people wrong
If you look at the Anime fandom, as it grew and became more normalized, it became kinder and more accepting! The anime fandom used to have toxic levels of gatekeeping. "Cosplayers aren't real anime fans because they don't even watch the shows" "Miyazaki isn't real anime because it's made for kids" "You're not a real anime fan unless you've watched Akira" etc. As that fandom grew, the gatekeepers lost control of the gates. Now Anime conventions have programing for previously shunned groups, celebrate previously shunned shows, and have a more open "everyone is welcome" attitude. So if the anime fandom is of any indication, growth promotes inclusion.
Like evanrhildreth said more people means more inclusion and as long as we as individuals keep striving for love and inclusion then we will outweigh the bad apples!
I'm demographically weird as a furry in three different ways: 1) I was already in my late 30s when I decided to join 2) I'm a Conservative 3) I'm a Christian (the least-weird of these three, statistically) I never really had a furry-hate phase; I was vaguely aware of the existence of furries for years and years, of course, but never really did much thinking about them, good _or_ bad. The way I joined the fandom was I randomly started seeing some shorts on my youtube feed from Starberry, Twinleaf, Zeekyart, and Saysupshelley, got interested, learned about the joys of making a fursuit, and decided I wanted to try my hand at it, myself.
So long as you're supportive of LGBT people (including trans people) there is zero issue with conservatism imo. I know some very nice Christian furries. Honestly the whole love thy neighbour aspect of Christianity really gels well with the fandom. Also I recently went to one of my furry friend's 40th birthday party, there are certainly a lot of furries in their 20s, but a lot of the furries that have been in the fandom for ages are older. So if you end up making friends in that age bracket you'll probably end up making friends that are really integrated into the fandom.
Honestly as long as you enjoy furry stuff, not hurting anyone or doing anything illegal, nothing else matters regardless of demographic! Glad to have you on board!
4:44 As a person who was messing around with anti furries for a good while already, I will say it’s not only about lack of interaction and trusting rumours. Some, let’s say, “Smarter anti furries” has a set conception about furry community. All they mostly do is finding different things which enforces their believes about furry community.
I think you’re absolutely right and unfortunately it’s not just furries people do that for, people would rather find tiny things to hate a community rather than letting go and just accept it’s people having goofy fun.
As the "esoteric" nature of the furry community melts away and more people realize we are just people having fun, not a weird cult like the early 2000s portrayed us as, then more and more people we be accepting.
What got me in the fandom is my Xbox friend he joined party I don't remember the small details but he said he was a furry and with me living under bed rock I asked what's a furry looked onto Yutube a week later boom I'm in the fandom it was zee that posted a video that helped asked myself am I a fan of anthropomorphic animals yes would I were a expensive carpet yes am I cringe yes 😂
Great video Woofles! I agree that the hobby has found its way more to the main stream, kind of like what happened with Gaming. As for your question: I joined the furry community because of cute art lol...
Peter wolf: My influence of joining the fandom is because I've always loved cartoons. So I enjoy seeing art of that kind and imagining I am a toon animal.
If I'm gonna be honest, my biggest influence in joining was being an anti furry (as cringe as it sounds). Personally I just snapped out of it and figured "wtf am I doing".
Nothing cringe about self reflection and taking my a step back to think about what we’re doing! If more people did that in general life the world would be a far better place! Keep being open minded :3
Even though I entered the furry fandom because of Changed (not the best introduction alright), I gotta admit that being a furry is pretty awesome so far. 👍
What made me want to join the furry fandom is how it allows me to be myself without fear of coming off as weird. I’ve had trouble fitting in amongst normal people.
My biggest influence to join the furry fandom is watching my 3 favourite twitch and UA-cam streamers and they are Tygre who I finally got to meet in person at Vancoufur in 2023. Stormi the folf who makes me laugh when I watch her on twitch and you because you make me smile and you make my day much better so thank you oh by the way in the middle of your video I saw your cats tail at like the 6 30 mark that was cute it wanted to be in the video with you aww 🥰 take care and stay safe woofles and keep eating those waffles 🧇
@@wooflesthewolf your welcome oh i forgot to to say that Vancoufur fur con in Canada is getting bigger too because when i was at the con this year they announced that next year in 2025 they are moving to new and much bigger hotel to have the convention at then the one there have been in for for a few years im excited and i should have my 1st fursuit by then to. Vancoufur will be in March 6th till the 9th 2025 i cant wait and maybe i will see you there if you can make it take care and stay frosty
@@wooflesthewolf also to add it up, it just really depends on the persons thinking and mental, I would just say to myself that furries are like humans too
American Dragon was the reson why I wanted to be a dragon. I don't like Jake, the maicharacter, but it was cool to transform to a dragon. I always like the villans more than the heros, because they look cooler. That was abouth 2011. Later in 2017 I discoverd some furry content. I learnt that there are people like me. 2021 i made it official to me. It was a friday the 13th. How ironic. The only sideeffect is that furrys made me question my sexuel identity. One problem soloved. One problem added.
i find it so tiring when none furries say that the fandom is all about having s** or being attracted to literal animals, when thats a thing only zoo*hi*es do. and no matter how you explaine it to them that furries dont accept zoo*h**a, they keep saying it even though they are wrong...
Must admit I’m pretty similar! I’d it wasn’t for the pandemic I probably wouldn’t have had time to watch beastars, which wouldn’t have led me to playa game with a beastars mod, which wouldn’t have led me to jokingly be called a furry which wouldn’t have introduce me to furry stuff! Weird how the world works sometimes
Well it has been a fair size of fandom but I’d say only really within the last 10 years I’d say it’s really spread more/become more accessible to more people
The title eludes to the scarily fast growth of a community rather than the fact there are more furries. It’s more of an impressed “scarily fast” than a “this is too much scarily fast” The video is generally positive about the growth, apologies for any misunderstanding
honestly, I could see a furry con growing that large. Anime cons, comic cons, game cons, other nerd cons, etc have had more than 45k attendees at multiple events for years!
It’s definitely possible! And think what kind of crazy cool furry stuff we can then!!
i agree! 😊

If it’s any help my parents found out by going on one of my twitch streams and instead of judging me on it, they bought me wolf related things on my birthday and are willing to listen to me explain stuff like shapeshifting furries and furry terminology :3
Keep being you!
Yo that’s super awesome! Definitely fit in well with that kinda creativity!
Social anxiety can be so tricky but I’m proud of ya still pushing through and enjoying being a furry! That’s all that matters!
If it becomes big enough, local meets will be like mini conventions
@@eninacur that sounds cool but sadly where I live there isn’t meet ups:(
@@artrob42 Looks like that for me too sadly, but I’ll keep my eyes open
True, I know that is a little bit of a worry for some people! Hopefully it’ll just be temporary while we learn how to handle the big numbers ^_^
I was a Pup before becoming a Furry too, but I was influenced by two streamers Aki the Anubian Nomad and AlphaRyu
Aw no way :3 that’s awesome!
Aw man I’m sorry you experienced that! I’m glad your dog is doing alright though!!
I’ve been in the fandom since 2004 and the growth is amazing!
Whether I live in Stirlingshire our group chat still only has 8 people though pfffft
Aw no way! Always nice to see a fellow Scot and someone who’s been in the community for a while still being happy ^_^
*Sniff* I smell Scotland. Hey that's where I live 😃
-sniff sniff- haggis? Tartan? Complaining about the weather? Yup definitely a fellow Scott!
going to a furry con since one of my friends invited me and i had lots of fun, thats how i joined the community
Aw that’s really sweet! Cause that’s what it’s all about, having fun!
This is truth, all of it, no comment needed ❤❤❤
my biggest influence was probably the anime wolfs rain i wanted look at art about and discovering the fandom about animals i was hooked on
I just googled some images from that anime and man the art is stunning!!
i was at MFF 23 and yea it was crazy so many people
MFF is definitely in my bucket list of places to go! Sounds so amazing though!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. You made a lot od great points.
My biggest influence in joining: Probably my friends. They had a big impact on me and showed me some stuff so I got hooked and joined.
Aw that’s actually really nice!
I still find it awkward to admit in person but on the inside I know
The only other person I’ve ever admitted I am one without fear is my ex she helped me feel a little more comfortable and happy despite her not being a furry.
@@wooflesthewolf Thank you :3
I really needed to hear that rn
i can’t be more thankful for your reply rn
I’ll do my best
Thank you
My biggest influence back in the mid 2000s when I was a teenager and ever since Cartoon Network camp Lazlo and my gym partner’s a monkey airing that long ago, I’ve been really into having a huge interest at animals to the point by the end of my high school years, I was doing cartooning, but now for a living in making my own graphic novel about being who is disabled, but learns to cope with everything at Undertakes in his life and tries his best just get through life as someone who is species dysphoric, by pretty much all species in a stampede-like fashion.
Aw that is super cool doing a graphic novel! Is there anywhere people could see it?
YonKaGor’s music had originally brought my attention to the fandom. I did some research, then the rest is history
Oh wow I don’t think I heard their music! Might need to give it a check out!
that rainbow sweater makes me happy :3
Aw thanks you! It’s one of my favourites to wear ^_^
Nice to see the fandom grow:] I mean it’s nice to see new people, more hugs YES.
Nice seeing more people just express themselves ^_^ and yeah hugs ftw!
Ooooh this is pretty interesting! Twitch vtubers have definitely also grown a ton in the last 5 years which is also nice!
Ayy fellow Scot hi from the Highlands lol
omg not the Patrick Thistle mascot lmao am just glad we got a cute mascot for Caley (which is very furry appealing tbh)
Yaaaaaas! More scottfurs! Hahaha absolutely love Kingsley, I have a friend who’s a big partick thistle fan! Also I love the messy mascot so much haha
It's been over 3 years since then, and I'm glad I'm a part of this community, which has literally improved some aspects of my life
And that’s what it’s all about, being a furry is all about having fun and being able to express yourself! So I’m glad you’re having that experience
I love being a furry, this community brought the best out of me and furs like you make the Fandom a better place
Aw thank you shadow! I really want to try and push out positive stuff on UA-cam because I see a lot of negativity around and wanna have a little outlet for some positivity :3
@@wooflesthewolf And thats exactly the way it should be, being Positive the best way to go and its all being happy and showing love
Yes, I've noticed that it's grown a lot
I think what made me want to join the fandom was The click XD seeing his videos on furries just kinda made me go "This looks like a fun place to be" and I never looked back
Aw I’ve never seen the click before! Maybe something I need to look into!
@@wooflesthewolf For sure! he isn't specifically a furry content creator, he just does a lot of videos on furry subreddits and stuff.
Good lord your search history must be wild haha
My reason for joining was...casual. I made a narrative. In it are some racial concepts, from humans, to eldritch, to humanoid dragons.
So came in the discord call with friends:
Me: "Ima make a suit for comic one and just play as one of my own Isslisai characters"
Friend: "Careful or people will think you're a scalie"
Me: "The fuk is a scalie?"
*Looks stuff up, encounter furries, scalies, skavens, etc*
Me: "Welp. Guess I am".
...And then I just took the plunge. No regrets were made. Friends are still my friends. All is good.
Hahahahaha I love this origin story so much! Had a weirdly similar experience when people started calling me a furry on stream cause I played a furry mod and I just kinda leaned onto it
It started with the animation memes tbh
Aw some of the animated memes are crazy cool! I’ve definitely sunk so many nights into watching compilations of them
Beautiful video my friend! I absolutely love it! I couldn't wait for more! *Hugs*
Thanks bean! Hoping I get to make some more stuff soon!
People like you are awesome.
Ha ha
I cant belive ive been here for 4 years now. I feel like the trend started right after i joined lol
Ah so it’s you bringing all the furries in! It all makes sense now!
@@wooflesthewolf No worries! Be yourself, be joyful and be floofy!
Must admit this is the first time I've heard Beanie boos introducing someone to the community but I absolutely love it!
I see this as an absolute win.
Absolutely!
I fear that in the future, as it becomes more normalized, it wont be about kindness and acceptance anymore
I'm demographically weird as a furry in three different ways:
1) I was already in my late 30s when I decided to join
2) I'm a Conservative
3) I'm a Christian (the least-weird of these three, statistically)
I never really had a furry-hate phase; I was vaguely aware of the existence of furries for years and years, of course, but never really did much thinking about them, good _or_ bad.
Great video :) i think what got me in the fandom is the art
Thanks apfel! The communities art is crazy cool!
As the "esoteric" nature of the furry community melts away and more people realize we are just people having fun, not a weird cult like the early 2000s portrayed us as, then more and more people we be accepting.
There has definitely been a ton of improvement in how people see furries in general! I’m kinda glad people are just realising it’s just a bit of fun
Biggest Influence : Haters are getting older and gaining more brainmass (including me)
Life’s too short to put energy into hating
What got me in the fandom is my Xbox friend he joined party I don't remember the small details but he said he was a furry and with me living under bed rock I asked what's a furry looked onto Yutube a week later boom I'm in the fandom it was zee that posted a video that helped asked myself am I a fan of anthropomorphic animals yes would I were a expensive carpet yes am I cringe yes 😂
Hahaha were all cringe down here! That is actually super awesome though :3
Great video Woofles! I agree that the hobby has found its way more to the main stream, kind of like what happened with Gaming.
As for your question: I joined the furry community because of cute art lol...
Thanks Koda! It’s definitely making its mark!
Cute art do be rather cute though!
My biggest influence for becoming a furry is pokemon
Haha aw pokemon have a lot to answer for regarding us furries!
Peter wolf: My influence of joining the fandom is because I've always loved cartoons. So I enjoy seeing art of that kind and imagining I am a toon animal.
Aw that’s actually pretty sweet!
Even though I entered the furry fandom because of Changed (not the best introduction alright),
I gotta admit that being a furry is pretty awesome so far. 👍
Haha interesting introduction! But glad you've been having a lot of fun so far! Keep enjoying yourself ^_^
What made me want to join the furry fandom is how it allows me to be myself without fear of coming off as weird.
I’ve had trouble fitting in amongst normal people.
Oof do I feel this! It’s one of the same reasons why I joined the community and also why I wanted to do content creation! I hope it’s helped ya!
It was SolarSaber's videos
Aw Saber was actually a massive inspiration for me making a UA-cam channel! I’m a big fan of them
My biggest influence to join the furry fandom is watching my 3 favourite twitch and UA-cam streamers and they are Tygre who I finally got to meet in person at Vancoufur in 2023.

Vancoufur will be in March 6th till the 9th 2025 i cant wait and maybe i will see you there if you can make it take care and stay frosty

Yeah, it's what furries do
@@wooflesthewolf also to add it up, it just really depends on the persons thinking and mental, I would just say to myself that furries are like humans too
American Dragon was the reson why I wanted to be a dragon.
I actually have never watched American Dragon, might give it a go ^_^ and I'm glad you figured yourself out and found a community you like!
For Me It Was Sonic The Hedgehog
I’m actually surprised that more furries weren’t swayed because of sonic! Good choice!!
Mostly art and fursuiters and Lackadaisy and beastars
Very good choices ^_^
i became a furry because i wanted an Amazon scam suit 💀💀
Definitely a unique way to join the community
We just cool like that.
i find it so tiring when none furries say that the fandom is all about having s** or being attracted to literal animals, when thats a thing only zoo*hi*es do.
and no matter how you explaine it to them that furries dont accept zoo*h**a, they keep saying it even though they are wrong...
Sometimes people create this idea in their head and stick with it no matter what the evidence is!
The pandemic ligit contributed into making me into a furry
Must admit I’m pretty similar! I’d it wasn’t for the pandemic I probably wouldn’t have had time to watch beastars, which wouldn’t have led me to playa game with a beastars mod, which wouldn’t have led me to jokingly be called a furry which wouldn’t have introduce me to furry stuff!
Weird how the world works sometimes
I'm going to make a furry game now.
Dew it! What kinda game you wanna make?
Growing fast? Hasn't it been basically the largest worldwide fandom for like 20+ years now? XD
Well it has been a fair size of fandom but I’d say only really within the last 10 years I’d say it’s really spread more/become more accessible to more people
So... how many furry is in the world?
I think about 4
stocks are rising but now buy quick don’t miss out

Hi furry friend how things I am going to VR chat furcon how about you make sense I love being a furry thank you furry friend
The title says that the furry fandom is growing scarily fast as if it's a bad thing, but you are a furry.
Hmmm… 🤨
The title eludes to the scarily fast growth of a community rather than the fact there are more furries. It’s more of an impressed “scarily fast” than a “this is too much scarily fast”
The video is generally positive about the growth, apologies for any misunderstanding
