Really cool idea, but a piano hinge looks a lot better when it’s not mounted on the outside. You could make a little recess for it in the edge. Then the box could stand upright on a flat surface, an it looks a lot better.
Thanks! No room on the inside, but it's a nice, shiny brass hinge, so why not show it off? I also added feet so it can stand up. 👍

I was so behind this until the sweet relish. Any complaint you had about ketchup on a hot dog was immediately nullified the second you should that nasty, sugary green stuff. 🤮
Dill pickles are the only pickles.
I find it really weird that you set out charcoal in the relief. Why not in a bag? Cleaner and can carry more. Better yet, make a storage case that doubles as a charcoal chimney and get rid of that terrible smelling lighter fluid.

You probably already know this, but it's something of a running joke in the machinist community. When you order some new gauge or tool, and the manufacturer has made a wood box, without fail these boxes fit their items way too perfectly. Because machinists built the box, their focus was on protecting the instrument. None of them ever have room to put your finger in the slot to get the tool. It's more common the nicer the tooling is. Seriously, like a hundred years of tech and this is still an issue
