The 3 stripes is totally iconic and for myself personally the leaders in trainer's market today.. Their old school range e.g city range are superb.. Run dmc link certainly is a good thing for me. Love superstar. Great video. 👍
Wore adidas since the early 70's The superstar was our basketball shoe, entire team wore them with no individual shoe worn by other teammates. My track, cross country shoe was blue suede adidas tokyo's . And my casual shoe were baby blue suede adidas tournaments. The 3 leaf or trifoil mark is still my preference on markings on my sweats, t-shirts, caps and shoes.3 stripe for life.

We publish a sneaker blog, and we consistently write about adidas ‘cos 3stripes is tied to a lot of history.
The trefoil logo looks like a plant, but the three “leafs” represent something more specific… the 3 major markets targeted by adidas in 1972 (Asia, America, Europe). That knowledge gives a bit more meaning to the “global style” logo as it’s a kinda riff on the trefoil. The trefoil, first appearing on the SL72, marks the start of “lifestyle”. People began wearing SL models as casual shoes.
Omitting the parties responsible for EQT and the athletics logo, Jacques Chassaing and Peter Moore, is a missed opportunity.
You missed including the Y-3 and SPZL logos. They’re significant. Y-3 is mostly treated as a separate brand, and SPZL is the soul of the Originals range. In fact, we published a story about SPZL to highlight the imprint.
Finally, Pharrell Williams uses a riff off the 3stripes when putting his name of a shoe. NiGO uses 3stripes in his Human Made heart logo.

yes and no, originally the name was a contraction of the name of the creator of the Brand, Adolf dassler, wich his family called him adi, so adi das-sler became adidas, then in the 90s the company created that anagram to fit with the Brand name

I've always been a big consumer of Adidas, but lately, I've been disappointed with the lack of creativity in the fashion industry. I really, really like the three stripes on every Adidas product I purchase, NO STIPES! I don't buy it! On the fashion side of creativity, I would really like to see at a fashion show with black, white, red, blue Adidas 3 piece suits (blazers with vests) with stripes with matching striped DERBYS and of course, matching ADIDAS footwear. This would be an AWESOME display of power for ADIDAS!
