  • Wondering if you should invest in the Rivian IPO? Here's a good reason: Early RIVIAN pre-order holder, and "lucky 10" invitee, Tracy talks about the "human touch" aspect she observed while visiting RJ Scaringe and the crew at the Rivian plant in Normal, Illinois. She explains that treating each other with respect and trust is a vibe that permeates throughout the Rivian plant, originating with RJ Scaringe's leadership, which is one reason she's committed to Rivian for the long haul. Tracy grew up in a family of business owners so she knows of which she speaks.
    Stay tuned for part 2!

I hope they can keep this solid culture as they grow.

I think they will. Still waiting for my invite to have dinner with RJ though. :)

Culture is a challenge to maintain as organizations grow, especially as fast as Rivian has been, but they've built an incredible foundation.

Another great one! Isn't Tracy awesome? I love her perspective, because it's not all about the tech specs that some of us tend to "nerd out" and focus on.

yeah. she's really great. And, I think she won "zoom" with that ACTUAL background!

Except it is a sales pitch. You can’t keep people on a 2-3 year leash without making them feel comfortable. I sell vehicles and customer service is important but I would rather buy a quality vehicle from a company that actually gets the work done and delivers your product even if they are dinks than to be smiled at 1000 times and keep being told just a bit longer, over and over. We were told we would be driving these things last winter and we have no delivered vehicles to non employees, one store, no maintenance programs yet and haven’t seen one Rivian charger anywhere. We are two years out from seeing these vehicles and by then you are going to want to slap your wonderful guide who was hired to string people along while a business is built. Sad because I was all on board and was excited when I placed my order. With this chip shortage, the new startup that has to expand across America and now the aluminum and metal shortages, these things will be outdated before built.

Appreciate the thoughts Roy, but I am still holding on to hope that they are actually a well-meaning company with good people who care about making an excellent quality product. Supply chain constraints can't be avoided, and no one could have predicted the impact of a global pandemic. Tesla is struggling to keep up also. Communications have been an issue to be sure, but all in all they're going in the right direction. Thanks for watching!

@@RivianDad Well-meaning doesn't mean they know anything about building autos. They keep using the pandemic as an excuse but they have bigger problems. None of you talk to real employees just PR people and engineers, they have to drink the kool aid to get hired.
