This game was intended to grow with community, some things have taken linger than expected. Since the use of steam , we have been spoiled on what an "early access" game actually is, it is not an early finished form of the product but the initial reconstruction of the product. These devs have the backing and they have the experience , they are changing the game they just want to ensure the basics are good to go first. Combat is not the most important first thing in an mmo sandbox survival, they will improve it im sure but first they want players to create a new world, everyone wants to snap their fingers and new content drop out as an aspiring game developer myself, I can vouch the time it takes for these improvements to come, also they do not want to promise things they cannot fulfill on time
15:00 I 100% agree with the sentiment towards wikis and databases. Ruins the game from an exploration standpoint and makes it more a min max thing where you can decidedly walk from a to b to c to gather/find POIs.
loving the new content, especially the low level camps. I now have some spells, previously had none. Having to explore to find resources is fun, checking out the new biomes.
Let's temper expectations. I love the game, but this is going to take a long time to all be implemented. Already calling the "end of year" update a winter update is telling. What's curious as well is that they put new building sets in "ongoing", but the initial promise was in the end of year update. So keeping it open wether or not they're putting any new sets in soon. Also a missing element is "being able to use furniture"? Also no mention of horses, but let's hope they reverted back to their unsuccesful "let's keep certain things a secret" strategy and they plan to put it in the winter update.
I haven't dropped my plots yet and spent a few hours exploring and noticed that the amount of resources is dramatically less outside of the starter zone. The former Pure Iron area was wiped and I have only found 1 node outside of the PVP zone. Thoughts?
I love the game but I don't understand why my carpentry skill wrnt from over 30 down to 11 now. I used to be able to craft cottage walls and other things but the recipes are not there. I thought that they weren't going to wipe our progress?
Was also slightly cheesed off by the surprise nerf to the carpentry. However it is incredibly easy to level up. Spent an afternoon crafting decorative chairs, ivy vines and limestone planters and I am back to where I was.
This game is not worth 40 dollars my friend. 2 days ago, my construction and carpentry building materials disappeared in the game after the new update. The team is amateur. bad dei xd
That is normally how this kind of game works. See Albion Online or EVE Online. Otherwise you have a dead game like Dual Universe with a non-working economy. In it's current stage it makes no sense for sure, but for an working economy they need actual pvp systems with high risk/high reward. This game can not really work as PvE sandbox on the long term. But with the heavy focus on a building simulator and bad combat system (still) they will never attract pvp players.
the last so called big update was disappointing. Minor changes. Graphical nonsense. Well Journal is nice and some npc additions but overall disapointing. PVE and PVP areas are deadlands.
Combat is still bad. First players are very stiff no way to dodge new enemies that are faster than you shooting arrows with no bows man I am Disappointed in the combat you would think there would make the combat better. The combat is still stupid just faster smh 😢
they better. the update was nothing for players that actually played the game. combat is still non skillbased braindead LMB clicking.no duel function. nobody is going to do pvp when you lose all gear you grinded for literal 5 months now lol
It is likely you have an old way of thinking and this game is tackling a lot that could be too hard for you to comprehend. Yes, I would likely suggest quitting if you don't want to learn something new. I'd explain why the devs are doing what they're doing but I really don't want to list all the places where you can read it and this has already made me waste enough time.
I am back on and having fun. Combat doesn't feel as dreadful now for a solo guy. You should consider doing a video on how skinning works now.
i like the small camps, i've build a bridge right into the "end" of one of these camps and now i am farming sooo much :D

What the hell are the devs thinking I cant even craft half a floor with level 28 carpentry and the only way to level carpentry is grapes and water ?.
This isn’t a thing right ? A door ?
Love(d) the vendor system in UO, this is next-level!

@@user-nd7nq3pc8o what province are you looking for pure iron in?
It wasnt wiped... maybe try reading the map? chances just are that the nodes are mined when you go there.
@@Karmac_ Your wrong, they are dramatically reduced. I have played since it started, ask around.

Not sure why they removed more than they added. That’s not a positive direction.
lol no reason to pvp at all unless you want to craft items all day every day for ever
that is a low iq comment but none is going to miss you...fare well

Not happy with the new update, a lot of bugs... devs should work on COMBAT, SOCIAL and MOUNTS, not crafting items and new npc models... just saying ;)
