Good job Candy. I also add some of the Laughing Cow (triangle one) cheese to the cheddar, this helps to keep the cheese from oozing out.

Candy you are a God sent I was thinking that my food processed cheese was too soft but actually I put too much in the dough.
If you mean the cheese ran out in the oven, that's normal it always do that.

Butter can be used aswell but just check your local grocery stores for shortening. The pastry is way better with it in my opinion.

Vegetable shortening look it up. You could find it in almost any grocery store.

Then you don’t have to. The egg wash is just for the golden color it won’t affect the flavor.
