Awesome job! 1 question.... Did you use any extra lights for the shadows or just the projector light? Struggling with the best way to get the clean image with actors. Need some help please!!
Excellent work guys, I'm blessed by seeing this Christmas Eve Shadow Drama. Can you please specify how is it that you guys did it to project please? Did you all used 2 projector or just one? I use EasyWorship and all those Motion Backgrounds too. But I would like to know the set up for this. What kind of material is the Screen you projected on? Blessings!!!
Hi Benny! We projected onto a rear projecting screen with only one projector. The screen we used was borrowed from a local church, and is made to display video/image projections from behind- I don't know what the material is. I hope that helps! - HCC Technical Arts Min
@@hopecommchurch-gilbertsville Thank you so much for the information. Did you use a normal projector onto the rear projecting screen or did you use a Short Throw Projector to do the rear projection?
Hey all! Here are some basics of this shadow drama: We used a rear projecting screen to display the different images/videos. We projected onto it with a projector hooked up to a laptop in the back. We advanced the slides using Easy Worship, but you could use other programs, like PowerPoint. I found the images/videos on various websites and purchased them (some I may have found free on google!). I used WorshipHouseMedia.com & SermonSpice.com to find the videos- which were just motion backgrounds meant for songs. I often reference SkitGuys.com as well, but I don’t remember them having as many motion backgrounds. We have a subscription to GracewayMedia- and I found some of our images on there. www.worshiphousemedia.com/motion-backgrounds www.sermonspice.com/motion-backgrounds gracewaymedia.com/Stills/Worship-Stills **Please do not send emails to this user- it will not be a regularly checked mailbox. Thank you!
Liliana, We hooked a projector up to a laptop and utilized Easy Worship to advance through the images and videos. It was projected from behind onto a rear projection screen. I hope your youth enjoy doing a shadow drama!
We would love to give you all the images & videos we used, but we purchased them, so we are not allowed to lend it out to others . But, here are links to some of the videos we used! This group of videos has the “bubble-like” videos that we used for Mary’s scene, the Angels and some others. www.worshiphousemedia.com/motion-backgrounds/35478/bright-light-bundle This was used in one of the scenes with Jesus and the cross. www.worshiphousemedia.com/motion-backgrounds/17354/flash-clouds The blue star image was from GraceWayMedia where we have a subscription. But you can find similar images in Google images or Bing. I also find motion backgrounds on www.sermonspice.com/motion-backgrounds if you want to check them out!. I wish I could send more, but that’s all I have access to right now- my computer was corrupted after the drama and I lost many files.
Many of you are emailing about the setup...so here are those general details. Please read our other comments for more details. We used a rear projection screen that we borrowed from another local church. It came with a frame, and then the screen stretched and buttoned into place. We built a pallet wall to hide our actors as they transitioned from scene to scene- and it gave a nice warm feel to the stage :) But you could also use a curtain or something else on either side of the screen.
Hi Ana, the screen is actually a self standing movie screen that is surrounded by a pallet wall. if you email Renee@hopegilbertsville.org she can share some more pictures of how it was built.
Que hermoso, Dios le bendiga.
Cuales son las medidas del telon que usaron?

May I ask for further details regarding the rear projector screen? For example: the brand, diameters, etc. That would be helpful! God bless!
Could you please share how you project the backgrounds? It's awesome. Would like to bring something new to our jouth in our church.
