Mojave, Banana, pastel, yellow belly, pinstripe. Not saying those are the best or my favorite just saying it seems like most combos have one of those in it.
Really appreciate your channel!! Definitely being informed on which ones are picky feeders more than others, or important "defects" that can come up with different morphs. Thank you! Just subscribed
I think mine would be 1.) Mojave 2.) spider 3.) Hurricane 4.) Ghost 5.) Ultramel 6.) Black pastel 7.) Desert ghost 8.) Axanthic 9.) Albino 10.) Normal I cheated a bit I couldn't do just five
I have one bamboo. He is the best eater of all my ball pythons except for one spotnose. It would be interesting to see a video about stereotypes that go with different morphs. Lots of people have theories but ive never seen them all put in one video.
Great video Chris, and your right 10 people will always give 10 different answers. For me I would say top 5 would be Pied, Clown, orange dream, Ghost, yellowbelly
Respectfully we need to stop saying co-dominant. Co-dominant is a real genetic term. It means it changes patches in its heterozygous form. What we need to use is "incomplete-dominant" where its het form is evenly dispersed across the organism.
For a long time I never had a snake refuse food. But now I have my subadult female mocha... she hasn’t eaten since I got her over a month end a half ago... she looked interested last week but didn’t eat. Hopefully next week?
Banana/CG are in my top 5. It’s the closest single gene animal to albino but allows plenty of influence from dark and light snakes. Also the change from baby to adult can be quite dramatic. Then the gender link with the males is the only of its kind. So definitely one of the most unique yet affordable morphs out there.
Lemon blast, bamboo, pied, mystic potion, and banana are my favorites :D I like panda pied too but I wish they were more common, I'd love to have a moo noodle ;-;

Can you do a video of all types of morphs and identify them. I watched the 45 new ones..but I was trying to see what kinda morph I have. I'm a new snake mommy. Love your videos!!! And I added Predators BP too. My fiance loves snakes but I've never had one. Deathly scared. And I'm so close to my baby boy now. He's a sweet pea. I don't know how to leave a photo. Is that possible?
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures so I took my baby ball python out. He's maybe 6months?? But he's my baby. Haha and he literally sat up and watched the tv??!! Maybe he was para-scoping or whatever. But it was so cool. I got a photo too! He was staring at it and I pressed play and he continued to watch it. Lol crazy
I wanna see some bright colored snakes. I wanna get one but I want a yellow, orange or red. Something bright and pretty :) I didn’t want a ball python tell I found out about morphs 🤯🥰
Polite correction: Morphs aren't different species. They are more like paint jobs. So when he says certain morphs are known for certain things like aggressive eating that is simply not true. That particular snake is an aggressive eater not the morph itself.
You can have your human genome done for about $100. Do you think there will eventually be a way to have ball python morphs analyzed for a reasonable cost so you don’t have to prove out 50% het genes?
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures just was wondering because I want to try mine this up coming year she will be a little over 2 years I think .....long as she has proper weight
Yes! If a morph has the word super before it that means it contains two copies of an incomplete dominant morph (incomplete dominance is when the two genes, a normal gene and a different gene, are expressed equally as if they were mixed. I like to think red + white = pink) So instead of mixing with the normal gene it doesn't even encounter it. (red + red = super red) So if both contain two of the same gene there is no way for the offspring to get a gene that isn't present.
When you’re talking about snake bamboos you have to make sure you don’t get bamboozled !!!! 😂 i’m not a snake expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night. Lol
I've always wanted to breed Champagne with Pied. The het pied babies come out looking like visual pieds. A true Champagne Pied is an all white snake, but the hets are really appealing since they look just like a visual pied.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures thanks brother! But according to genetic wizard, pied plus champagne will only result in a het pied! Is still true? I really don't know what to get !
Chris. I have a serious question for you....... If you have $15k today, and you were standing in your basement now empty, so you have no equipment and no snakes at all, would you put that money ( $15k ) into breeding ball pythons, and if you were to start all over again, what would you buy and what would you not! Or would you not go near Ball Python breeding and put that money into something else entirely? Now, remember Chris, whatever your decision is there are a couple of strict rules. 1. You must invest ALL the money. 2. Whatever you decide to go into, you MUST feed and keep your family with. so it will be your sole income. I await your response.
If you intend to breed the snakes the first year you would starve because you have no immediate income LOL. Best case scenario is that you make money the end of the first year. I'd probably buy 25 female normals or single gene females ready to breed and a few multi gene males or something like a Bamboo Lesser male that is allelic, so all hatchlings would be lesser or bamboo. Then I'd invest in some high end ARS racks like and ARS-7030 and two ARS-1065. You would probably get about 150 hatchlings, assuming they are half similar to Bamboo (~$300 each) and the other half similar to Lesser (~$100 each) you would probably make anywhere from $45K to $50K the first year. Even more if you had some higher end males.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures Thank you, Chris, for replying, It was interesting to see that you would still stay with the ball Pythons, and not move into something else given that you have experience in the snake business. Why would you keep the babies and breed them back. That's like you sleeping with your sister .what would happen.u snake breeders need to do line breeding.like the do with dogs

Grumpy, docile, picky, hungry, fertility. Probably not a ton of directions but a great video none the less. Just don’t want to spread rumors however.
Lmfao my earphones can pick up the mice and rats squeezing in the background
I have just ordered a juvenile male clown. I am so excited to see him! I am glad the Clown was on your list.
Amen on the bamboo. Definately my number 1. Also like the candy and anything with deep orange.
I think my favorites would be axanthic and pied. But I love all of mine. They’re unique in so many ways

I agree, my bamboo girl is my best eater and seems to always want more
Great video brother quick question I'm new to breeding and wanted to know What would be the best to breed a pastel too.?...
You could breed it to something else with Pastel and go for the Super Pastel.
What would u recommend breeding my female pastel Cali to?
I'd probably go with a two gene male, maybe something with Pastel so you can hit the Super Pastels.
Ok thank you.
Cool snakes love it

Hey bro, my pied female is hella picky. She only likes the lighter colors like tan and all white. What would happen if you cross bamboo and pied?
A Bamboo Pied is an all white snake with a little grey on the top of it's head. I've only ever seen a photo of one just once.
Polite correction: Morphs aren't different species. They are more like paint jobs. So when he says certain morphs are known for certain things like aggressive eating that is simply not true. That particular snake is an aggressive eater not the morph itself.
Thats not really true, certain morphs can have specific caracteristics, like with reticulated pythons piebalds tend to be more reactive
I'm really loving the albino cinnamon enchi , have a new one on an airplane as I post this.
I really like champagne and bamboo.
Hey quick question! Are you able to breed a Pied with a BEL, and get a Blue Eyed Pied?
You could but it would be tough to know if you hit the pied or the BEL without actually breeding it out.
Hello Chris , could i ask you one thing that makes me so headache ? How i can figure out the difference from Disco and Fire gene ?
I'm not sure, I've never worked with Disco.
I don't get the rage for clowns. I find them really ugly, especially when adults
Is their blue ball pythons
i love GHI!

You can actually breed back with most reptiles, you won't get genetic deformities like you do with mammals, or so I've heard.
