Unfortunately Nikki Sixx has been the primary songwriter, holding 70% of the copy-writes and publishing. He writes the songs, Mick writes the riffs. Which is why Nikki owns the majority of the publishing. Or did until he sold it. Didn’t any of you know that? These aren’t random numbers and you aren’t awarded 70% of the publishing rights for funsies. That is money in the bank. That was money Nikki made for being the primary songwriter. He always was the brains behind Motley. Not Mick. Not Vince and not Tommy. Since day one. And now that he, Tommy, Vince and John 5 are in the studio. You all side with Mick but you don’t even know why. You assume he is telling the truth, and there is some grievous wrong he is suffering. What? What on earth can justify what he did? He betrayed the band. He betrayed the fans by trying to turn us against Motley. He could have handled this professionally and privately but no. He listened to some cutthroat lawyers who are looking for a payday. Pathetic. I stand with Motley and Nikki. Because of all the parties involved they are the only ones who have been respectful. You never heard anything disrespectful or incendiary from the Motley camp. Only from Mick’s.

As an attorney, I can say that Sixx has no legal claim against Appice. Appice is only repeating claims made in an actual lawsuit. Statements made in judicial proceedings are privileged against defamation claims and Appice could use truth as a defense. Sixx has no basis to tell Appice to cease anything, and he's not even a party to the suit, so the court wouldnt have any jurisdiction to put a gag order on Appice anymore than the court could order the media not to comment on the matter. Appice shouldnt allow himself to be bullied by Sixx's lawyers. He can tell them to fuck off.
Doesn’t that add more credence to Mick’s claims? Nikki is trying to gaslight Mick, and quiet anyone with an established career and experience with the band from speaking against them.

It was easy to tell that the talent was: mick, then tommy, then sixx or Vince. Seemed liked the "sound" was Mars guitar and Tommy's drums with the clever hooks. I mean damn. Imagine the pressure Mick was under to come up with Radio friendly guitar riffs and solos against the mighty EVH and his clones in the 1980s! Mick did excellent and stood out! Tommy also had to compete with the Tommy Aldridges and Alex Van Halen's. Nikki? He was the marketing genius with some lyrics. Vince? The voice that was told what to sing. But that's cool. Vince never claimed to be in charge and be the focal point. Damn.
Motley Crue is a huge part of my 80’s teenage years, this is just putting a huge stain on what was a great legacy. People can spin it anyway they want but Vince live now is a joke and embarrassing. The public fighting and petty name calling is just pathetic. Such a shame.

I agree 100%. Motley has long been my favorite band but I won’t even go to one of their shows anymore because I want to remember them for what they were, not for what they are now. Vince barely making it through every third word is just awful.

@@beauch1119 Saw them open for Ozzy with my best friend, then every tour after that for the next 4-5 albums. He and I were talking about this the other day, one thing that makes it even sadder is they're touring with Def Leppard. A band known for being great live.
@@mjc4art I watched videos of the stadium tour and honestly I thought Poison was the best out there. Those guys still rock and Bret Michaels is in such great shape he still sings like he did 30 years ago. I first saw Motley on their Red White and Crue tour and they were awesome. I went every year until 2013 when Vince wasn’t really sounding good anymore. Aside from their heyday, 2004-2009 they were still pretty good. I wish they’d just hang it up now. Grown men having petty feuds. Vince so out of shape he can’t sing. Sad.

Nikki has 0% credibility anymore .He will deny anything and everything that doesn't fit his narrative .personally Id rather see Sixx in his solo project SIXX AM at least they were playing time appropriately music and a reallysolidband that had alot of amazing songs .I think that would have been the better path for Nikki than to rejoin Motley Crue and have to use pre-recorded backing tracks to play infront of .I just heard a complete Crue concert with John 5 . He did as good as he could do considering these were just cover tunes for him .
