The Living Legend of Irish Horses

- Greetings from Ireland! Respected in the global equestrian world, the Irish hunting horse is a product of the Irish landscape of "trappy" fields with hedges, banks and fences to cross. Many Irish people will "bring on" an Irish hunter as a part-time hobby, in the hope of selling it to a foreign buyer and throughout the centuries there has been a steady demand for a good hunter that will "cross country", either in equestrian competition or to follow hounds.

Irish people are so much fun 🍀
Almost 20 years in my Ireland 🇮🇪, now my Irish horses starting new life in Poland. The best horses ever.
Best of luck with them, you should search "kildare performance hunter show" on Facebook to see more hunters!
God bless you in Poland - another nation of great horsemen! ❤️🙏❤️
Hi! I'm glad to hear from You! I love Irish people! I've been interested in horses since I was a child. I started riding when I was in the primary school. As a child together with my familly I loved to watch western movies. Later on I attended The Technical School of Breeding Horses in Poland in Bolesławowo near Gdańsk. I spent 5 years there studyind and riding horses. Unhappily one day I was accidentlly kicked by a horse. Even thought it was a painful experience, I survived. After school I moved to Ireland. I spent 7 years in Limerick in The Republic of Ireland. I admire this place. I even like Irish weather. I like when it's raining with a bit of sunshine. At the time I was riding in Clonlara and Adare. I've met many nice people there and i have very good memories. I wish that one day I'll travel to Ireland and have those opportunaties again. I'm keen on Irish music and dance. Here in Poland I don't have my own horses. I have a dog and 3 cats. They're all crazy!😍🥰🤩
Thanks for the lovely comments, I also worked with Polish people and they were great, we still keep in touch. Glad you liked our Irish horses!
So special! Thank you!
I love Irish breed. These horses are very strong and highly intelligent. This magical horse brings us to perfection.

I've ridden them and they certainly are the BEST everything!

Really loved this video and the bit at the end was so true thank you x
Thanks Sheila!
They resemble the Cleveland Bay, another great horse.
I am scared of horses mainly because of an accident while riding. It was not the horses fault. I absolutely loved this video especially the last Land Rover ad part🙄🙄🙄🤫
these horses are genuinely something else idk if its the breeding or the handling but fr fr very good horses
Thank you! I'm also glad. And we still keep in touch.🐱
Thank you! I loved this. ❤️🙏❤️
A lovely video, thank you.
You're welcome, thanks for the compliment!
Very nice video and presentation. Hopefully the Irish horses won’t go extinct or become just a show off piece like the LR Defender.
Thanks for the compliment and input!
Great video, and very informative. Best wishes.
Thanks for the compliment!
@@primalireland-histcult You are most welcome. We breed horses ,near Brecon, in Wales. Our best broodmare is Tia, an Irish Draft x TB mare. She is homebred,as is her dam,a wonderful TB mare named Golden Pride (Tufty) who is still going strong at 29 years of age! Tia is by the ID stallion Avanti Amorous Archie RID. He is bred and owned by Rita Jennings of the Avanti stud, near London. He also sired Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth's show Hunter, Tower Bridge who was shown with great success by Katie Jerham. I don't think that he is at public stud any longer. We have crossed Tia with our Welsh Cob, Section D stallion on numerous occasions, and the resulting foals have all been superb, and have gone on to make excellent all round ridden animals. One of her daughters has been retained here, and is now breeding quality Welsh Part Bred foals herself. The Irish Draft is undoubtedly a rock solid foundation on which to breed sport horses for any discipline, and personally, I wouldn't want to be without the influence of this wonderful breed in my horses. Kindest regards from rural Wales! Philip Lewis.
supposedly many war horses were left afield and taken in by irish farmers centuries ago
I think you forgot that Irish Hunters are truly bonkers to do what they do in Ireland 😅
😂
