I just love seeing your flips and explanations of your days. I get the same anxiety and depression you describe, and I know all too well about those low days. I really hope you don't get burnt out on doing your art. It's so beautiful. In fact, I started doing my own fauxbonichi and my style is heavily influenced by watching yours. I really appreciate what you do, and would love to still see them even if it's just a few times a month. It's worth it. That cover looks awesome, and I want to see inside! Art book reviews sound very interesting too.
Thanks for all of the videos that you have done so far they have been fabulous. I'm amazed that you kept going for so long posting everyday. I'm happy to see whatever you can manage to find time to do. Art book reviews, art journalling, Fauxbonichi etc but put your health and well being top of the list and we'll enjoy whatever you do, whenever you do it : ))
I absolutely love the sad clown, WOW!! You're so talented!! I hope you don't feel so pressured to do a video everyday. Pls do it at your own pace :) it was nice seeing your pages while you explained the pages :) thank for sharing!
Hi Courtney! I love your work as always. I've been drawing my days in this fashion for several years now, and I know what you mean about trying to find some sort of inspiration on a very mundane and boring day. A couple of things to keep in mind - First, your art doesn't necessarily have to be literal. Maybe draw something abstract that represents how you feel, and then write a quick list of your day's activities to go along with it. Some easy things I pick when I'm stuck are food I ate & clothing I wore. I do both every single day, so there is usually something there I can choose. :) As you continue to do this, it gets easier in some ways, and harder in others, but I've always enjoyed doing it. One of my favorite things ever is to grab a beer and read through my old books. :) I love watching your videos, but I know how time consuming it is. Record it when the mood strikes you, and I'll be happy to watch, even if it's infrequent. Take care of yourself. Hugs!
I love seeing your drawings, your flip thrus...what you use to color and paint with. I'd be interested to see the different art books you got and how you actually drawer some of your sketches. I think you are very wise to switch things up and do things a little different so you don't get stressed or burnt out. Taking care of yourself and your family is the priority...everything else can come after. ((Hugs))
Thank you so much for your comment! I will take notes of things you've mentioned and start formulating ideas! thanks for taking the time to always comment on most of my videos even if I dont reply I promise I read every one with a smile on my face.
I would live to see a mod video. I really enjoy your flip throughs, uts fun to hear what the drawings are about. You inspire me to try and draw in my journal more.
Love the videos!! I think you cutting back to not get overwhelmed is great!! The art journaling videos I'm very excited about can't wait to see those your style is my fav ;) thanks love!!
I love to read your blog posts! But also I would love to see some videos on the books :) I am also really in love with you Midori and daily drawing videos :) Thank you sooo much for sharing! You're such an inspiration :)
Hi, I just rediscovered your blog and channel and I've been enjoying both very much and catching up on all your posts. To answer your question, I would love to see your art book reviews in video format. And novels for that matter. Books, planners, art, journalling, vlogs....all awesome!
Loved seeing your work! Thanks for sharing. I am just fascinated by all these journals. Over the years, I have always just written in my journals and am just now learning the joy that drawing brings. Would love to see you do art book reviews.
I just stumbled upon you and I freaking adore you! Love your hobonichi, I've just started a fauxbonichi and am really enjoying the process. I am a scrapbooker originally but just started art journalling too. I find you videos really enjoyable to watch, and super inspiring to have playing while I'm playing catch up in my fauxbonichi. I'm on the central coast and have anxiety too so can relate to those low days. Just wanted to say a big hello from a new subbie and yes to book reviews (I'm keen to get a couple on watercolouring techniques and art journalling if you have any suggestions??) and freaking hell yes to opening up that gorgeous new journal! I'll have to check you haven't already done one...Thanks for sharing lovely :)
Loved your flip and I can totally understand you going to 3 per week. I'm very interested in you doing Art book reviews. I would also like a review of various art supplies you use and even ones you tried and don't care for.
Thank you for taking the time to share your artful skills. You feed my soul. Love your flips, drawings, and journaling techniques. A review of your top sketching books would be wonderful. Do you offer classes? If not, chica, you should! I'll be your first student :)
I loved watching. I like the idea of a monthly flip which would give you back some time for reading. Self-care is so important. I am not familiar with the mod book, so I would watch if you did a video. I love book reviews. Maybe your top 3 to 5 favorite art books. Thank you for all of the inspiration. You are so talented.
What about hanging bug mesh across the sliding door opening? Would that keep them out? You can weight the curtain at the bottom to stop it blown about. Worth a try if it makes your room more comfy for you. Alternative for drawing food that will look like catsick no matter what you do - maybe draw the ingredients falling into the bowl?
Your illustrations are beautiful. The colors you used were vibrant. Very nice flip through. I hope you make more flip through vids. I know this was a video from 2015. :-)
+Pineapple Lemonade thanks so much, I do adore the drawings in this hobo, I hope to one day start the daily illustrations back up again, or even just drawing 1-2 daily things in my Journal instead. Thanks for watching!
Love your flips and all other videos. Yes, I would like book recommendations and planner videos as well as your other stuff. Wish I could give you 3 thumbs up on your videos!! You deserve it! Yes, take care of yourself, art should be a joy and not a chore!! :-)
Love everything you have done and watch almost everyday when you are drawing. Could you tell me what kind of pencil you use for drawing. Don't stop love your work.
OK... I'm subscribed to you, but I don't remember watching. Oh, yes... the art book reviews. You are lovely. I'm hooked. I may be able to cross several others off. I understand your need to cut back, so if that makes you a happy artist and review flip, then do so. So sorry about your problems with sleep. One of my worst problems for so many years. Please see a good therapist who can prescribe. There are meds which will help you to sleep and honestly you will be normal. Don't live with insomnia. And your art is supremely yummy and I love your nice quiet videos. So calming. Please do carry on and take care of yourself.
Hi I would like to see what you have in the Mod. The cover for that is very cool. Where did u get it from?. Have you always been into draw/art work?. Your very talented. I too have depression and I find my art/journal good to either draw or write in. To help me brain dumb my feeling. Glad you are still doing your videos. But like you said you don't want it to feel like a job or burn yourself out doing the journal. Take care. Thanks for sharing your work with us all. Your New Zealand Fan Nicky.
I love your videos. I'd love to see you work in your art journal as well. And book reviews would be great too as I'm always looking for new books to check out.Maybe a once a month book review? Just so you don't get overwhelmed and burnt out..As I'd be so bummed if you no longer did your videos as I so look forward to them..
Great video. What did you think of poison study? I'm currently reading Shadow Study, the 4th book in the series. Maria V. Snyder is one of my Favourite authors.
I really enjoy your videos, but please don't burn yourself out. A few videos a week would be lovely and I would like to hear about your book reviews and see mod. I enjoy your flip throughs of the Hobonichi.
