Greetings from the states. Ordered my klevers rt's before watching your review. I ordered the same size tire and they are going on an gx460. They look fantastic on your rig and glad to hear the performance is awesome on them. Ill be doing some light offroad but eventually ill like to take the old gx460 to a proper spot to go overlanding. I hesrd the longevity on these tires are great and they wear very slowly 🐌. Great video
I’ve heard really mixed things about the BFG - know a few people who didn’t rate them in the wet. Obviously depends a lot on the car and driver though. I wanted something a touch more than a standard AT this time - it’s a hard balance though, won’t deny that
I can confirm that the bfg ko2 are a bit snakey on wet bitumen and thick mud, pro are low noise, very economical on fuel, high mileage 75k and plenty more to go, outstanding puncher resistance 10/10 🦾, excellent on gravel and sand. I can see why many people can depend on them for getting them home from adventures as they are bulletproof off-road. Let me know your reviews of Falken wildpeak, Razors At or your favorite?
Heya - they fit without a lift (lift doesn’t help fit bigger tyres on a IFS vehicle) - did 10,000kms no issues on factory suspension - just had to remove the front mud flaps (and still can’t run them with the lift) Wheels are a 17x9 +15 - awesome fitment on a Fortuner
I was looking at these, only thing that put me off was they had no 3PMSF rating and a few bad reviews on the wet. I went with your old tyre the Maxis Razr At on a 35" though. Oh and I also went with the ballistic rims, great choice. And a FYI they are called Kenda Klever "smart " not klever " like the knife " 😂
I’ve (so far) found them just as good as the RAZR in the wet - but we’ll see how they age, I don’t expect them to stay as good their whole lives with the more aggressive tread. Understand that if you need the snow rating there are other options though - makes sense! They’re mint rims eh - still really like them after almost four years of running them
Will do a 15,000km once I've covered that much ground - have been a little quiet between winter and our second kid arriving a few months ago, should be back into it soon! Have done ~6,000kms on them so far though - pretty happy with them. They work really well offroad, grip way better than the RAZRs in sloppy stuff. On road they're not as nice which isn't really a surprise, tad more slippery in the wet and louder (to me at least, some people claim they're quiet - I think it depends on the car though, they're the loudest noise I get on mine) Will report back once I've put more kms and work onto them though!
Oh true! I was super happy with the RAZR - did almost everything I needed and lasted a good amount of time. Lost ~50-100kms of range (was getting low 600s per tank - now getting low-mid 500s). Will be interesting to see how they wear, I’m not expecting as many kms as the RAZR but we’ll see
From what I understand the RAZR is a softer compound, so was happy with the kms I got out of them. Probably had another 10,000kms of tread left but the sidewall puncture won. Have RTs on both 4wds now - good middle ground between the two types
They were indeed, LT rated 10ply etc. Same size too. They use a tad more fuel which isn’t surprising - they’re heavier and have a more aggressive tread pattern - just one of those trade offs
Good video, I’m looking at replacing tyres soon so more information around the better the decision at the end. Hopefully 👍🏼
Will do an update video once I’ve got a few kms and offroad trips on them. Hoping they go well!

Bridgestone has always done well by Me for road, beach and occasional track.
I think the best tires for NZ conditions and for the exact circumstances you mentioned would have to be the BFG /AT. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing and very interested in the future thoughts on them. What did you pay for them? Cheers
Poor on bitumen in the wet
Hate my BFG A/T’s in the wet on bitumen. Sketchy and twitchy

Hey Mate, what sort of suspension are you running to fit 265/70/17? And whats your wheel specs, looks great
Cheers

Hey mate, can you do a video on the best scenic off roading spots in the North Island, Cheers!

Any updates now you have had the Kendas for a while?

You were one of the 1st reviews I saw on the RAZRs which am on 50k so far. Loosing 400kms of range is intense, looking to see how the Kenda wear

Looking forward to more tuna content
Not many km, I get close to 100 from BFG.
I am going to go r/t next time.
They look good

Were the razr’s you had the 10 ply version? Are those kendas the same size? Are they worse on the fuel consumption over the razr’s?
They were indeed, LT rated 10ply etc. Same size too. They use a tad more fuel which isn’t surprising - they’re heavier and have a more aggressive tread pattern - just one of those trade offs
What rims are you running bro?
They’re a Sniper Ballistic in 17x9 +15 - big fan of them - fairly simple design and have a massive load rating
Are they 3 ply sidewall?
They are indeed 👍
