I think the range should be buffed so it could still be used mid range, and kill reward nerfed. That would give us a good smg alternative.

Shotguns should be completely separate to rifles, smgs and pistols.
I like to use shotguns, with a Deagle as sidearm for longer ranges.
Works really well most of the time as long as i dont whiff my shots. Or get instakilled.

When I used to play cs (faceit lvl 7-8) I loved to play with different off meta weapons. They can be used even in higher ranks if you know what you are doing, but you can't spam them all the time anymore unfort :c

I was destroying people with sg/aug since 2016, before the nerfs and it was 2/3 matches shit talk from enemies, while my teammates were confused as why am i griefing, until they saw how op they were... SG had better accuracy than AK, higher fire rate, scope and first 21 bullets go in one direction 😄So many times i got the kill because i start prefiring when i know where the enemy is, after my 10 bullets enemy thinks i lost the spray and peeks, only to get rekt. Fun times 🥲
The benefit of being good with off meta weapons is that the people are caught off guard for the game, since they have to adapt to something they rarely come across

i remember once i played inferno i went boiler on the ct site, and as always i prefire ramp.... i one shottet the awper with a nova, 101 in 1. that made it my favorite, the xm is not overpowered but i agree the stats need to get reduced somehow, swag-10 decent, sawed off trash
sawed-off is only viable if you can land first shot every time and can be use for rush . so if you are quick and accurate , sawed-off is the best choice for forced buy rush
I'm not even joking when I say this, but I think the sawed off is the best shotgun... The sawed off is definitely the closest range of the bunch but it will consistently kill no matter where you shoot and even if you run and jump with it. Every other shotgun you almost NEED to headshot unless you're closer range than the sawed off bodyshot kill threshold and still at distances of like 20ft headshots constantly pull 80-99dmg shots. If it doesn't kill you're as good as dead, and I respect the consistency of the sawed off to one-shot if all I have to do is close the gap a bit with utility.
youd be better off buying a tec9. Pistols are so strong currently that shotguns are non viable. They are simply not cost efficient.

1. the sawed off is more expensive in the first place.
2. You are more likely to win a round off a tec nine buy, or get a plant off of it, and as soon as you get the plant the kill reward is basically irrellevant.
3. In team play the Tec9 is incredebly strong because if you have multiple of them you can rush very easily with lots of firepower. It can be used while running and spraying, but it can fire accurately at range as well.
No ShotGun can do any of this currently.
@@MidheimOfficial Yes, but you forgot that in one situation, sawed-off is more suitable than tec-9 in another (for example, the map office, and in many other skirmishes, the chance to kill with a sawn-off shotgun is higher than with tech-9)

The shotgun is so weak its unrealistic. In real life using buckshot this thing will insta kill at 30 yards.
1.6 shotguns were ok, but GO shotguns are so weak.

This is one of your best videos yet. The editing is really well done and the topic of shotguns in CS isn't talked about as much as it should be. I also really liked the songs you used and how you showed on screen what song is playing. Congratz on getting monetized as well, that is not easy to do.
Regarding the destructable maps you showed? Do you think destructable cover would be cool in competitive maps?
I think something like that would be cool to see as an operation game mode, I don’t think they fit within traditional comp but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fun to play around with, it would be cool to see.

I use MAG 7 often, sawed off time to time but Nova and XM rarely. I view XM as noob gun and Nova is very bad when moving. I play MAG 7 and sawed off on Nuke the most. I once killed Bymas with R8 trough wall and then shot all of his teammates with MAG 7 ez ace

Well that's funny. I keep firing center mass from 3 feet and getting 17-18 damage out of it. Doesn't even matter that it can be fired again as my opponent will just spray up the center and hit my head. I'm convinced that Valve's devs have never used real shotguns before.

YOURE GOING TO MAKE THEM NERF THEM PLEASE NO. i have round 40 hours in the last 2 weeks and the shotguns on ct side and also on t side are amazing and had a wonderful experience along side with a PP-BIZON or a MAC 7 , and yes, i am serious about the pp bizon... its actually a good weapon if you try it and understand how you are supposed to play with it . But anyways, please don't make them even think about nerfing the shotguns and the smgs. Good video though !

I agree that using the bot footage was a bad choice, but I did get better footage that I tried to use more of by the end of the video, and I thought about how it would look as I was uploading it, it’s only about -20sec of bot kill footage but it’s right at the start of the video so it will be what people see and make note of
Shotguns are good at wingman, because most maps have alot short shock spots
If the shotguns are underused then the m249 basically doesnt even exist

It just so stupid to use shotgun while you cannot even one shot a guy in close range with bodyshot, if shotgun function similar as in r6, they would have higher pick rate, valve just do not want people to use it so that they nerf it to the ground

I have so many clips of the sawed off. Don't count it out fr, it genuinely hits like a truck and it's dirt cheap. Try it out at REALLY close range corners and stuff - example: apts in inferno, camping squeaky and A hut in Nuke, banana rotate on inferno, palace camping on mirage and many more i cant think of rn. Trust me it's good. Theres been a few times where the damage has just not come through for me but ill continue to use it and support it. It's better than the nova if you know what you're doing.

I really prefer Sawed-off over Nova on T side, just because they have similar price and Sawed-off has better armor penetration.
A conundrum: you'll hit your enemies with Nova, but it won't deal any damage. Sawed-off is easy pickings, if you manage yo land _any_ pellet on your enemy

I think mag7 is the best for having fun and flicking people, making them mad, especially in smurfing, you can use this gun whole match :D
Now XM is fine but i feel like a bot using it, i would rather buy mp9/mac10 that are imo even more deadly if you practice + 600 kill award... Or deagle can always be a good eco choice. I just dont like my odds when i have to retake and i just spent 2000 on useless gun for that like XM

I tried looking into it but couldn't find anyone talking about it: I wonder if tracers in cs2 poking holes in smokes might cause shotguns to have new anti-smoke niches, assuming pellets individually poke holes, creating one substantially larger hole than most other guns can produce? if so, maybe shotguns find a new niche for contesting/spamming smokes in short and mid angles in cs2.
