HIS REACTIONS TO THE SONG ARE SO CUTE😿😿
My fav band of this genre since forever. The Emptiness is still my favorite album by them, cover to cover it tells such a beautiful story, to me at least.
Love your channel, thank you for the content 👍💜
just listened to the emptiness album at work like a couple hours ago lol, agreed, it's good shiz
One of my favorite bands. Just saw them again in October. Love every one of their albums. They also have a book they wrote that goes along with the Annabelle trilogy.
The emptiness is pt. 1
A place where the sun is silent pt. 2
Confessions is pt.3
Love the fact that someone reacted to a song from Confessions. Most reaction videos (the very few Alesana ones out there) are from The Emptiness. I loved The Emptiness but this band has so many bangers outside of that album too. If you're looking for more guitar work from Alesana, their album A Place Where the Sun is Silent has a lot of isolated guitar melodies. Really different vibe than to the style on Confessions. Anyways, hope you do another reaction for these guys - they recently announced that they are writing new stuff!
Yoo, mad respect to you for listening to alesana. 😈🤙 They're such an amazing band. I can't wait for them to put out more music but it's been a while since they have.
Okay, so this is part 3 of the "Annabel trilogy". All three albums follow the same story of the main protagonist and his lover annabel. All three concept albums continue the story. Part one is the emptiness, part 2 is a place where the sun is silent, part 3 is confessions. The story is really crazy I recommend looking into it.
Would also love to see you react and analyze the whole trilogy if possible!
So awesome to see you get into this band, they completely sucked me in almost 10 years ago now with their album “the emptiness” which I highly recommend which is actually part 1 of “The Annabel trilogy”
Can’t wait to see some more reactions to these guys!
Side note: in the entire time I’ve been a fan of them they haven’t played Toronto once lol
Dude that sucks about never playing near Toronto once. And thanks for the context of their albums. I'll start with The Emptiness and work my way forward.
The album is definitely worth the listen! It never gets boring. I’m glad you liked it! I always thought the way they do their vocals is super interesting! Surprisingly, Besides the female cleans, there is actually only one clean vocalist. He just happens to do a lot with his voice. But there are 3 harsh vocalists( the clean vocalist being one of them). The 2 albums before this one are actually part one and 2. They are just not labeled as such.
Thanks for the info. I'll certainly be checking out this trilogy of albums.
My favorite band 💓
Really solid... I guess you'd call it metalcore? The variety in both the vocals and musical styles were a definite boon as it definitely kept my attention and prevented the boredom that often happens with the samey-ness that happens with such an overplayed genre like metalcore. It really takes special bands to tempt me back to the genre and this might've met that standard... at the very least I want to hear more.
Please do more alesana reaction video
Oh amazing reaction! Would be cool react to Catharsis, that's in the same album, you'd probably like.
They are my all time favorite. Im 37 and Slipknot was my first album but this band is different. The reason it says its a trilogy is because they have told one long story for three albums straight. They even wrote a book about the story of Annabelle that at some point has every lyric of all three albums in it. Its a true novel through and though. Only 300 were made but i was lucky enough to get a copy.
Shawn Milke's voice is absolutely angelic, total jealousy
And the other guitarists are great singers as well, wish they utilized them more in recordings instead of just live!
First time actually hearing this song , I've only heard the first 3 albums mainly lol ,
Also seen them live in a tiny venue in 09, singer let me scream a verse into the mic since I was in the front row 😂
ha yeah pop goes punk has always been pretty good as well
Would love to see an album review, if you haven't listened to it already
Ne Obliviscaris released a new song called Equus a few days ago you should definitely check it out it's so good.
It's gonna happen this month, just not sure exactly what day.
I'd also love to know what you would think of Oceans Ate Alaska - Into The Deep. Standout song for me Blue Lungs
The name sounds familiar. They do similar stuff, right? I might have heard a track or two yeeeeaaarrrs ago and if so then I think they bounced off of me. I'm interested to see what I think of them now.
They're more metalcore, very intricate offbeat music and amazing vocals. One of my fav bands right now. I'm stoked you're going to check them out. That album is a masterpiece imo
So it’s been a couple of months. How did checking out the whole trilogy go?
The two albums prior to the trilogy are great as well. Most songs of those two are based on mythology and legends
Edit: My all time favorite song by them is Obsession Is Such An Ugly Word. The last half of the song is why
Also the trilogy starts with The Emptiness (Part 1), A Place Where The Sun Is Silent (Part 2) and Confessions (Part 3)
It's been on the list but I haven't checked them out yet. I've been trying to keep up with 2023 releases and finishing discography runs of some bands I've enjoyed.
