Your linen lesson of the week: Zweigart linen has names for each of its sizes. 28 count is Cashel, 32 count is Belfast, 36 count is Edinburg, 40 count is Newcastle and 46 count is Bristol. Love your videos! Happy summer😊
Your time away with your friends sounds wonderful!! Enjoyed seeing all your projects, as always. Kathy, thanks so much for stitching my new Quaker, I love seeing it in other colours!
Thank you ladies for another delightful video! I’m always surprised at what I get accomplished when spending time with you. Your petit retreat sounds like it was so great. Thanks for everything you’ve shared! Take care!
I love the doily - please be sure to share when you have a FFO for it. Helpful hint: After turning my fabric the wrong direction ONE time, I started running a colorful basting stitch (about 2") across the top. Also, cashel linen is Zweigart's name for its 28-count 100% linen fabric, while Belfast linen refers to its 32-count version. 36-count is called either Edinburgh or Edinborough linen.
I like your power donut. I have some of the big heavy ones too. But, the last retreat I went to and the one I’m heading to next week does not have power plugs or cords so I had to invest in rechargeable items and a brick. Oh Missy, I’m a long time quilter, welcome to another fun “collecting” craft! You will love it!
Thanks for sharing about your amazing stitching trip. Friends who stitch are definitely a blessing. I’m privileged to be part of a Thursday evening group that is now up to 12 members. We have shared lots of happy times as well as supported others during some very huge losses. I’m so excited to have gotten in to the Retreat! I can’t wait to spend time with you all and make new stitchy friends. Stay cool and Happy Stitching 🪡🩷😊
Riverview is such a nice little shop!! Aury is coming to our retreat later on this week at Craft Gallery. Both stores can divide as my LNS stores!! Monroe, MI is 10 miles from my hometown of Ida MI!!! You had a great getaway! Hubby and I went to Middlebury for our 10th anniversary on June 28th!!
The deer jumped into a fenced-in garden that I planted at my Mom's in CT. many years ago, everything was looking Great, they ate it all within 2 days except the tomato plants. Zweigart names their counts of linen like Cashel = 28-ct, and Belfast is 32-ct, Edinburgh 36-ct, Newcastle 40-ct.....
Your trip with friends sounded wonderful!!! Missy, your quilt looked so nice! Kathy, your Women of the Mayflower looks great! I love how you included the extra names of ancestors. Always love seeing what you two are stitching!
Lovely quilt, Missy! Sharing time with friends is precious. I was at Yoder's the week you all were in Shipshe, so it would have been fun to recognize you at Yoder's or Lolly's. (Goshen is only 30 minutes away, so I'm there frequently). Sad I can't attend The Library Retreat next year; I'm sure it will be wonderful!
Kathy, Told in a Garden, Butternut Road, and Lavender and Lace are all Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum, who is Nora Corbett’s mother! You ladies have such beautiful work, and what a blessing to get to do your petite retreat!! SO excited for next spring!!! See you again in your next Flosstube!
Thanks so much for another great video. Your time with stitchy friends looked full of grace and kindness. A great lesson for all of us to remember. And I have to say you're enablers! I ordered while watching!
Thank you for discussing the two different instant printers you have…it is easier for me to make a purchase now. As always, fantastic stitching. I hope to get my sister-in-law to do a cameo appearance on my channel…fingers are crossed. 🦉🧵🌞
I use the card boxes from target for my beads. I buy the big Bead smith mats and cut to size. I use a white board for my pattern. I stick a magnet under the mat in the container and it sticks to my board. They're the perfect size. Marion Levitt Inblum of Told in a Garden, Butternut Road and Lavender and Lace passed away years ago. BTW, she is Nora Corbett's aka Mirabilia, mother.
I have been cross stitching since I was a pre teen and then set it down and recently picked it up again and it's a whole new world of stitching! I have recently found Flosstube as well! I watch Holly and Joy now as well and you all inspire me! I recently went to my local LNS that I found (fortunately/unfortunately) it's an hour away and the store owner says she loves to buy patterns and not always kit them up, it's just like some people buy books to read and put down she buys patterns to look through and enjoy! I really want to learn to stitch on linen as well but I'm very nervous I won't be able to "get it"!
Can’t believe you were here! I live just down the road! So wish I had known you were in our area……..glad you had a good time! We have a place for every dollar here!
Love all the designs u both showcase! And the way u finish things is so creative! I always picture such great ideas, but i have a hard time following thru w ffoing😜 so u give me motivation lolol My wish list def grew after the haul! I love the fabrics u chose too! I just actually ordered chubby bird as part of my latest 123 order...cant wait to start it. I have a few of the stitching w ethel ones in my stash too i love those cute little designs and cant wait to get the new ones!!!! Happy stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Oh Ladies, another great episode. I am headed to Shipshewana in two weeks, and I always go to Yoders. Love that store. Yes,Lolly’s is another great store. I hope you ate a pretzel!!!
Awwww my mother’s name was Bettie spelled like you have it on your cups! ♥️ Asbury Echos patterns & fabric suggestions are so very prim & perfect! I love that you’re not ashamed of your faith which pleases God 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Looks like a wonderful stitchy time. Great haul! Chantelle is a fun and talented person. Love that you added other pilgrim women in the Women of the Mayflower cross stitch!
Enjoyed this Flosstube! Thanks for showing how the Kodak printer works. My daughter will be heading off to college again and since she has been home she keeps talking about printing pictures to put on her wall. Her bday is next month too. That seems like a perfect gift to give her. She can print the pics and hang them in her dorm room. Thanks for sharing all your great stitching projects and haul. Even the cat's out of camera adventures are interesting. 😂🐾🙀😸
I had such a fun time stitching Big City Christmas! It was a Mystery SAL originally. I have it framed with a pretty dark wood frame and rested it on my mantle last December. I also bought the NY style taxi and tree from Dept 56.
Loved your video! Kathy, i love Vibrant Flowers and will be starting it soon as a companion to Blooming Basket by Carriage House Samplings. Colors are similar in both pieces. Missy, i am closing in on a finish of Butternut Road piece, The Teacher. It was published in 1992, and that's how long i 've wanted to do it! So much packed into your video. Thanks.
Love your Flosstubes. I also stitched the Coming to America, a few years ago, and stitched my Ancestors in red. Mine of the women are Bradford, Hopkins, Mullins and Standish.
Enjoyed spending my evening with you! Thanks so much for the video. btw, the little oval hole on the power donut is a USB-C (or USB compact). Several of my newer electronics have that end on them, especially battery packs. Hope you enjoy it! xoxo

Awesome video! I have a group of friends that have been traveling together for years just as you did. We love renting a house on VRB0 and doing all of the fun stitchy things. We are heading to Seattle next week❤
In addition to @marygoodenow9011's comment, 22 count is Hardanger, 25 count is Dublin. Evenweave in a 40 count is called Verdal. Lugana evenweave fabric by Zweigart comes in 28 count and 32 count and is 52% cotton and 48% rayon. Evenweave Joeblan is a Wilchelt product and is 51% cotton and 49% rayon. It also come in a 28 and 32 count. Now you know!!
Such a fun update from you two. Missy, you are going to love quilting. I need to know who that Christmas village fabric is from. I absolutely love it and need it.
Just a helpful hint-when I cut my fabric for a project, I put a tiny gold safety pin in the top left hand corner so I always know which way is up. You have NO idea how many times I have “almost” made a mistake in the stitching direction I should be going. It’s a lifesaver. Right now I am doing a Chatalaine and that little gold pin is worth its weight in gold. Chris
I have that Bobbin pattern, after seeing yours I really want to do it soon. Love the finish. I love the doily. It came out 😍 That Dimensions pattern is awesome, I do not remember it from years past but still, I may have to research for that. I saw your picture on Instagram. It is beautiful.
Awesome Episode - Ladies 💞 Thanks for the “show/entertainment/informations/FUN❣️ About the initials “KW” - you could use the lower “leg” of the “K” as the “left part” of the “W” and only lower that W when stitching …it will be a bit smaller 🤷♀️ 💡 💭💞
Great FlossTube…thanks for sharing your WIPS, finishes, haul, etc. I stitched two Bobbin’s…one for my mom (who is a quilter) and one for me. Love the Animal Crackers. I am in search of Whittaker…he is popular (and has a companion named Paisley).
Oh Missy that Liberty Feather Tree is wonderful I am doing the bunny one for two of my girls and I had to have this one! Did you see the snowman feather tree?
I also have that Dimensions kit but never thought of doing it as a counted cross stitch. Thanks for the idea! Have you chosen your fabric yet? BTY, I’ll be attending the Library Stitchers Retreat again next year. I was in round two 🤗
