- Today on our series of "The Haunting Hour" we take a look at "Scary Mary" one of the SCARIEST episodes by far! When a teenage girl plays the game "Scary Mary" a game that if you play it Scary Mary will take your face! When our protagonist plays it she starts to see a ghostly figure named Mary in mirrors around her and to make Mary happy she starts to make herself prettier that is until Mary steals her and tries to take her face. Will she survive?? WATCH TO FIND OUT!!!

My grandmother was crazy superstitious and she believed that the reflection in the mirror was actually an alternate version of yourself and that if you stared at yourself for too long, the versions would switch places.

Once you’re done with the Haunting Hour , you should try the series “ Creeped Out “ it basically is Haunting Hour and Goosebumps but sometimes the endings are not as scary

Scary Mary literally scarred me for years. I would have multiple nightmares about them coming for my face. I live by this being the scariest episode of the haunting hour.

Omg I agree scary Mary is what solidified my love for the haunting hour I never talked about it cause unfortunately not many people know about the haunting hour series but me and my brothers caught this episode as it aired one night and it was definitely a good one pretty scary for a kids show or ig a show for young teens.
it might be a little too scary for little kids but def great for young teens!

That song Mary plays on the Piano was ingrained into my brain cause I watched this over and over again, I just loved how messed up and terrifying this story was! Great vid happy so one is making vids on these shows!

@@kingnusmi it’s a few episodes that I think are like this one, but the one I think is MOST like this one is called “Let’s Get Invisible” these kids find a mirror that can make then invisible, but just like in this show..there’s something weird they find out after doin it so many times.

The first time I watched the episode, I didn't even finish part 2 after it revealed the Jane Doe is faceless. Rewatched the episode two days ago, prepped myself for the faceless Jane Doe reveal, and carried in with the rest of the episode which was a good one.

Hey, I just met your channel yesterdat. I used to watch this series on HBO when I was 11 to 12. My fav ep is Nightmare Inn (that little plot twist in the end is my fav and one of the sweetest I've saw in media overall)

If you want a low quality Episode to review, I recommend the ‘Pool Shark’ Episode. It focuses on a poorly executed Love Triangle and pulls the ‘I am your dad’ twist out of nowhere

I watched these episodes with my best friend when I was a little kid and they genuinely terrified me. I was scared that Scary (Bloody) Marry would come after for like 2 years 😭. We eventually got over it but I will never forget watching those episodes. Amazing video and I can’t wait to watch more things you make :)

Bruh literally gave me a hugeee flashback from watching this back in the early 2010s , I just remember the fire part vaguely. I think the haunting hour and goosebumps are both products and creations of RL Stine.
Yeah The Haunting Hour is his most recent series I believe!
Haunting hour was a show i never finished (it made young me too scared) but every episode i saw left an impact of some kind despite seeing them all pretty much once. I remembered the endings, the plots, even the monsters in liliy d and big yellow's cases.
I still remembered this episode's lil poem word for word and god the faceless girls in this episode's case.
Goosebumps i finished, but goosebumps was more fun and campy most of the time to genuinely scare me.
But THIS show? Oof i'm nervous to revisit and properly finish it as an adult. This show did not hesitate to get more messed up and end on horrible notes for its main characters in a lot of cases.
So seeing these and remembering how crazy and freaky this show was is a blast, thx!

since youre going through the haunting hour, id love to see you go through another hub show: dan vs. its about an angry, 30 something year old man that gets revenge on literally anything. and im not just asking for you to talk about it because its painfully underrated, but also because its technically related to the haunting hour, and not just because its on the same network. the creators of dan vs and the haunting hour were apparently really close, and decided that them, along with transformers prime and a few other shows, are all in the same universe. not to mention, that dan vs makes a cameo in the episode "sick", and the haunting hour makes a cameo in the dan vs episode "the telemarketer", specifically, dan is seen watching the episode "the doll". basically, go watch dan vs and talk about it, it would be fun to have some new content on it

Idk, maybe under-looked episode because it isn't really as scary as the popular ones tend to be, but I loved the super cheesy weird one with the toe-eating aliens that end up allergic to gingers

RIGHT! it's such a crazy show!
One thing about The Haunting Hour that makes it scarier than Goosebumps is they often don’t wrap up the endings. They kill off characters or have them go missing at the end and then that’s it.
Goosebumps did sometimes do this but usually it gives some resolution at the end and maybe a silly twist rather than “Everyone does and the world ends. The end.”
I first say Haunting Hour on TV and I was shocked that it was rated “Y7”. It seems way too scary for kids that young!
Yeah goosebumps always had happy-ish endings but the haunting hour will literally end the world and then roll credits with no survivors 🤣

I think this was the first Haunting Hour episode I ever saw and I fell in love with the series, mainly because it used actors I recognized, similar to the Nightmare Room.
Please do "The Perfect Brother" sometime, solely because Gregg Sulkin was and still is one of my big celeb crushes!

The family who stops at the cult hotel that sacrifices bad children
And the girl obsessed with a portrait. Somehow she entered it and got tricked into staying

I know you said you don’t want this show to overstay it’s welcome on your channel, but if there is one episode that stuck with me that I think you should cover, it’s that episode with the boy who gets sick and starts seeing all this weird stuff around his house. I don’t remember the name of it, all I remember is that at the end of the episode the entire house he’s in gets nuked to keep something from getting out.
