The Knight datapack is SUPER fun, and the best part is that someone is actually working on building a version of Hallownest as a minecraft map. It's insanely cool to see!
I do wonder how they deal with how tall the world of Hallownest is. If you consider one of those platforms in Soul Sanctum to be 1 block thick, then you would need around 1050 blocks in height (all the way from the Abyss sea of Void to Hallownest's Crown). Minecraft did recently change the height limit, but that's still only 384 blocks in total. (btw, I did the same measurement for the width of Hallownest, from Lake of Unn to the Soul Totem behind Nailmaster Mato's house. it's around 1750 'blocks')
@@iveharzing The update changed the default height limit to 384, but it also added the option to increase it to around 3k iirc. So it would only be laggy, not impossible.
It's not often you see recognition for anything from geometry dash outside of the game's community, but I think this level definitely deserves it. It's an amazing level that recreates many parts of hollow knight very well, and is truly impressive both from a creating standpoint and a playing standpoint, as it's not a particularly easy level (I've beaten it yes)

As a Rivals of Aether player, the automatic jump Hornet does with her dash attack actually seems pretty normal for a good chunk of the cast. Quite a few characters can at least cancel their dash attack with certain attack, and Etalus can even cancel his dash attack with a jump. At the very least, a large portion of the cast can combo out of their dash attack at least at some damage values, and the Hornet mod appears to primarily just do something similar.
i have to agree with thr RIvals mod: tho playing as the Knight feels a bit clunky, the whole idea is really well made; Hornet is good too, but it really feels like a generic character
Hey! I played the knight in rivals for a bit! It was in our community's workshop pack so it was legal for that side event. It's pretty balanced I must say, it's a combo heavy character with good movement options (iirc side b is jump cancelable) as well as having good frame data on its aerials. Some moves are pretty big but it lacks range for the most part, it's similar to p+ meta knight in the way it plays imo. It's pretty solid but nothing too broken, its non charged specials are not that amazing I feel like: up b doesn't even have a hitbox and it kinda forces to recover in certain ways which the opponent can take advantage off; down b is pretty small, it has high recovery frames iirc and it's generally speaking pretty bad, I guess you can use it to spike the opponent? I'm not sure though. Side b and neutral b are pretty alright, the shade version of both can kill the opponent which is pretty big. Also this mf can pogo off, similarly to sk dair, but it can also hitfall and having different follow-ups. It's pretty fun and balanced I feel like, but I haven't played much workshop so I'm not completely sure about what I'm saying
As a GD player, I adore the work put into the Hollow Knight themed level, it captures the original game perfectly And for the people who know the basic squares and triangles of Geometry Dash, it seems like a simple game with very little depth, but the game has over 1000 objects people have used to make stunning works of art, and the Hallownest level in the game is no different
VR Chat for example also has hollow knight avatars made by people in the community that you can get in their worlds. That's one more crossover that just came to mind.
I completely understand the pain of not taking over city states at times in Civ 5, but there was a mistake you made when going to conquer it. While having melee units surrounding the city was a great idea, you also needed to have ranged units and siege units within 2 tiles (the sole exceptions of the 2 tile range being late game siege weapons [artillery, rocket artillery, and US rifled cannon], missiles, and planes) of the city while it is surrounded by melee units. Melee units prevent military units from exiting the city to destroy siege and ranged units, while also keeping city bombardments and garrisoned units attention so that they do not destroy the siege weapons. They also are used to take cities over once their health has reached the point where the unit's attack will cause the city to reach 0 HP - which was around 9 for the vessel (which isn't bad considering you are in the early game). Ranged units are there to whittle down city health and prevent other military units from aiding the city by keeping them at range. Siege units are there to deal massive amounts of damage to the city, weakening it until a melee unit can effectively take it. Side note: if you had sacrificed about 5 units to barbarian units and had a vessel unit clean up the fallout, then a single pure vessel unit (strength being 24, same as the city) and a few archers could have taken over the city. There is the possibility of the pure vessel unit taking the city by itself, but there is the possibility of failing - and since the attack would likely bring the PVU to 0 HP, if it failed - it would have died (but if it succeeded, it would live). Another side note: Dang is the pure vessel strong in the Civ 5 mod. It only happens to be weaker than the Tercio (strength 26) and the XCOM Squad (strength 100) - Tercio being researched long after longswords, and XCOM is end game. Edit: You could have also just attacked the city with a crap ton of vessels in order to take it over. The benefits of that would be that the land tiles next to the city would have fallout on them, which reduces its resource production and damages any of that city's units that happen to be on the tile - while the vessel units would not receive damage as they are immune to fallout.
@@click7499 I guess I might've taught a class on Civ 5 early to mid/late game city attack mechanics, but I was more focused on informing Fire of a few things he could have done in order to take the city over more easily.
@@click7499 Lol, I thanks for reading it. And I'm honestly surprised that it was a 4 minute read - it took me a lot longer to write it than that lol (albeit the bulk of the time was recalling range limits and the melee units that were stronger than the Pure Vessel).

I give you 10 points for that transition into sponsor spot. Still skipping, but very good transition. I wish Bethesda would do sponsoring for Skyrim, those transitions could also be hilarious.
The Don't Starve Hollow Knight mod is enjoyable, as it adds a completely new and different addition to how you can play the game with it's addition of an upgradable nail which can be stronger as you get rarer materials, and the ability to equip charms (a good few of which are quite... overpowered). However it is certainly a buggy mod and needs some balancing. Also the Inscryption Hollow Knight mod is extremely fun. But my personal favourite hollow knight mod is probably the hollow knight skin mod in the 'Legendary Tales of Zote' (definitely a real game, trust me).
12:26 someone actually made a fan made hollow knight oc and he’s a good character but fits more when you use the boss buddy(which makes player 2 have more health and deal more damage) and he’s probably the hardest boss in the game because he acts like a Hollow Knight boss.
Fun fact about fnf: there is a really great mod called indie cross where you rap battle as the name implies indie game characters. The mod is currently at its version 1 with 3 indie characters (cuphead, sans and bendy) but a version 2 is confirmed and Hornet is confirmed as one of the opponents.
Regarding the Don't Starve Together HK mod - it's my go-to player character in the game now, and a lot of fun. The lantern charm is extreme OP as it provides an endless light source that doesn't need refuelling, meaning you can basically ignore needing to craft torches, lamps, or campfires, which kind of makes a joke of the caves. If you ignore that though it's pretty cool. Additionally, there's another HK mod for DST which adds the Hollow Knight as a boss, and it's absolutely sick actually, they incorporated the attacks and such really well. I recommend checking out the mod, it has gifs and such to show the battle.

Also the Inscryption Hollow Knight mod is extremely fun. But my personal favourite hollow knight mod is probably the hollow knight skin mod in the 'Legendary Tales of Zote' (definitely a real game, trust me).
That sponsorship was the most hilarious thing I've seen this week. XD
can confirm that there are some ridiculously well made and incredible levels in geometry dash
That was the SICKEST ad Segway I’ve ever seen!!
12:26 someone actually made a fan made hollow knight oc and he’s a good character but fits more when you use the boss buddy(which makes player 2 have more health and deal more damage) and he’s probably the hardest boss in the game because he acts like a Hollow Knight boss.
I feel like I just got rick rolled from the raid cut....
Place your bets now on what percentage of the comments are gonna be about the raid ad. I'm batting 70/30
"Through the products of child labor and suing youtuber's" WOW. THAT. THAT WAS NOT WRONG BUT COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED.
3:36 so the pale king embodys the chilean's love for Sopaipillas Con Completos
I recommend checking out the mod, it has gifs and such to show the battle.
that intro to the raid ad filled me with so much rage
Congratulations on 250k subs bro!
The damn sponsor section also, I love inscryption and hollow knight so that inscryption mod looked pretty cool!
it's hilarious how he just started the video with "im not addicted to hollow knight"
One you missed is CYK’s hollowshot mod which combines deltarune, OneShot and, of course, Hollow Knight
9:07 believe me, there are tons of levels this good recently
“It is kinda cute seeing hornet rapping at me”
