That's a gorgeous looking set, Nigel! 😃 It's a real shame with this horrible conflict in Ukraine; both country's have companies capable of excellent models, and yes, it seems a real bitter pill to show any kind of support for a Russian company at the moment; however, Quinta seem to produce some very nice work...... conundrum! I think a review of the Trumpeter Kamaz (Kamov) would be good - it'd be interesting to see the detail that they offer, which this set looks to replace! 👍
Dear Nigel, I have a Quinta studios detail set for a 1/32 scale F16 I bought some while ago- the sets certainly are very impressive. Those things on the windscreen must be greeblies- surely? Regards, Z
These look great. I have a set for the Tamiya 1/35 LRDG Truck. That one is a very small set. I do have one question though. If you have to dip them in warm water to release them from the backing paper. Will the fact that each part will be wet, interfere with any glue you use to stick them down with. I assume it wont matter so much if using PVA glue. But what if you use CA glue?
I have used a lot of Quinta studio decals I also wondered about the same thing would it be white on the backside but after using them they are printed both sides some hell I don't know how they make it it is clever how they do that
Good looking stuff. I've got a couple 3-D printed decal sets (one Eduard, one Quinta) that I've yet to try. One thing I'm curious about is if you can use a product like Tamiya Panel Line wash on these? Do you think it'll strip the printing off of the parts?
@@NigelsModellingBench Had an Edward "Löök" set for the 1/48 Tamiya F-4B cockpit at hand. Tried the Tamiya Panel Line wash and removed it with thinner. Like you said, it was fine. I'll dig the Quinta set out sometime and test that too.
These look amazing, Nige, thanks for that, and hope you are well.
Thanks for the review Nigel
Any time
Not sure if there’s a review on this kit Nige would be nice if you could do a review love to get some more detail on the trumpeter kit

Interesting. Would like to see how these go on. Two of my favourite Russian choppers to model are the Kamov and Hind.
Hi Nige. I used the set for the Tamiya F-4B and the colour is also on the back of the parts as well on handles and belts etc.
Any chance we will hear your thoughts on the Kotare Spitfire?
Yes, I have a review sample on the way.
I would really like af review of the Kamov kit!
Yes, I would like to see this thing unboxed. 1/35 scale should be as huge as Tarhe.

I believe that Quinta studios print on both sides
I would really appreciate one. I was thinking of getting one, it's beautifully ugly.
