News sometimes don’t want to “buck the big wigs behind this. The big lick group are powerful and they don’t want any bad press from all the used and abused big lick horses found at auction “
Guys, you don’t understand how much power these organizations hold. Any meat slaughtering places. They all spend billions on lobbying the politicians in their favor. It’s all the same. This is why people aren’t allowed to go protest in most meat packing places. Europeans are much more better at it. All the protest are there and consumer protections and animal welfare is night and day to what happens here. This is why legally Americans can’t sell meat or dairy products to Europe. Nobody wants the garbage Americans consumers are force fed with. We talk about other countries, but we’re literally worse than any democracy. I’m so glad for this channel. Only education and exposure will change things.
Usually you rescue around 20, but it actually seems that your getting more horses even though it's more work. More lives being saved is the goal as long as the atrocity of horse slaughter exists.
Financially though it's not good for them as it's leading to less fundraising so long term it may be a big issue... (and probably causing them to pay more too).
@@kathybradburythey may be buying lower now that hp is no longer there so now the dealers can make the money off of them from hp instead of the auction.

Well he would have had to be kept on his own..he'd be trying to get with any mare and wouldn't be friendly to any geldings either..unless you are going to breed its best for them to be gelded..they're not ruled by their hormones then..its better off for him..this is a rescue centre and more people will want to adopt a gelding than a stallion no matter how beautiful he is..
He doesn't look purebred. He kind of looks like a Georgian Grande (sp?) Friesian x Am Saddlebred. But regardless no need in this country to be breeding horses that we don't know their pedigree and genetics.
I DO agree about Dr. Lydia. BUT! Not sad at all that he was gelded. For the horse, it means he'll be able to run with a herd and just have the joys of being a horse without all the drama, injuries, and isolation stallions are forced to live with. For his future owners, it means they'll have a saner gelding, who will be safer, and easier to handle and train. For the horse world... that is NOT a full blooded Friesian. Friesian breeding is done under strict conditions and only the finest examples of the breed are allowed to pass their genes on. For the rest of the horse world, we don't NEED any more backyard breeders, breeding horses willy nilly. ESPECIALLY since so many of them end up in the slaughter pipeline as unwanted, neglected horses who have poor conformation and genetic flaws that make them unsuitable for use. Stop. Think. Geld the damn stallions.
I just…don’t understand how anyone can be so uncaring and cruel to these amazing animals. And this is coming from someone who’s been involved in animal rescue & fostering for 30+ years now. I was born wanting a horse. It’s so damn ironic that I’ve finally reached the point in my life that I could’ve finally afforded to rescue & be a furever home but my body betrayed me and now I’m stuck either using a wheelchair or walker 90% of my time & can no longer ride, all due to the genetic disease I was born with. I’m bawling from each final act of kindness throughout this, and am so grateful that you are there to help each of those poor babies. These beautiful souls are a GIFT we have been given to share lives with, and still people do this. Thank you all so much. I wish I could help financially, but I can at least like & share your videos and try to help that way. I’m up in Canada, so things run differently up here, but for the animals sake I pray you are back in rescuing as many as you can from those horrible places. Kill shelters or kill pens…they all are abominations for which we should ALL be ashamed that they’re still operating around the world. 😢
So glad for all the positive intakes and to give the young 3 year old (looked like a Belgian) and the one mare the final act of kindness. Good lunch you guys and nice surprise with the horse for Angela.
So glad to see Dr Mary Ellen again. She is so good whit those horses and other animals. Chickentherapy works well. Just look at John. So nice to see 4 vets working togheter. I did not know Dr Lydia was a maggotperson. Im not. LOL. So glad you got so much done that this day. Love you Keith for adopting Major to Angela. And to see Dawn on the horse... Good girl. And I just want to say a big thank you Jennifer for the lunch for this amazing people. Bless you all.

Those two horses that Garrick brought in have some good breeding in them. Must have been beautiful at some point. So sad that they were abandoned as though they didn't matter. Thank you, Horse Plus for helping them pass over with grace and love their last memories. 💗
Thank all you vets for coming together and helping horse +. The horses that have been coming in from the buy out look a lot better than some purchased at the barn. You are making a difference in the sale community. Tawny you all are doing good work. Don't lose hope. God put you here for a mission and this is yours. God bless each and every one of you that work there.
I think it’s so funny how excited/fascinated Dr. Lydia is about the maggots on that poor mare’s poll wounds. Edit: I’m glad that they were able to treat her. I hope she has a long life ahead of her. Pain and maggot free of course.
Ponytail got a horse that was a carriage horse from the Amish that got hit by a car that had a through and through wound on the head they worked for weeks to get that cleaned up. It had maggots it had everything it was so infected but she’s doing really good now, so there is hope for this mayor.

Dr. Chavez's technique felt really cold to me. I didn't see her administer, pain meds, antibiotics? Love on the Horses a Little.....didn't see that either! She may be the last person this Horse ever Sees before she Leaves this World🏇💔🥲 Dr. Lydia still tries to administer whatever she can, even flushing out old wounds, and X-rays even if it doesn't look good for the Horse.
Well said! He is gorgeous and should make some lucky person a wonderful horse now. Wise words, glad to hear from you.@@HughLlewellyn
Please donate to help them help the horses🥹
Congrats Angela!!! Major is pretty!
That was the most enjoyable ad I have seen in a leng time. Your Selling the CellYea!
So glad for all the positive intakes and to give the young 3 year old (looked like a Belgian) and the one mare the final act of kindness. Good lunch you guys and nice surprise with the horse for Angela.
Sounds like some officers need to have complaints filed on them, for not being lawful... It all comes to the light eventually.
You have the right, FREEDOM of speech and the discrimination is illegal. We all need to stand up and do everything we can petition for better laws. I am just an old country girl and got the handicap accessibility passed through congress many many years ago.My husband Robert got the very first license plate YDP672..And Arron Bracavich went up against PGE.We have faith in you all.Keep up your good work. God bless you
Those two horses that Garrick brought in have some good breeding in them.
Dr. Lydia is a hoot! nothing grosses her out.
Name suggestion on the Frieserlooking now gelding: «McDreamy».
Thank you to Jennifer who bought their lunch from a Texan. You are amazing!
So many beautifull horses needing put to sleep 😢xx xx
Just saw your advertisement for the energizing mix. Something that should be mentioned is that its low sugar and caffeine free! That's huge! Now back to the video...
Oh my goodness, that little kitten is so precious. Looks like my sweet Thea when she was a kitten. ❤
The vet being so happy to cuddle kittens. 💗
So glad you took a tiny break Tawnee! Thank you for all you do!
Hey Dr. Lydia so nice to see you here. Thanks
Sending you all big hugs for the difficult time you have with rescueing horses! Oh Major such a beautiful horse, many many happy years and good rides with him!
Im so happy for Angela and General. I knew Keith was a great catch. Good for you Angela.❤😊
Dr. Chavez's technique felt really cold to me. I didn't see her administer, pain meds, antibiotics? Love on the Horses a Little.....didn't see that either! She may be the last person this Horse ever Sees before she Leaves this World🏇💔🥲
Dr. Lydia still tries to administer whatever she can, even flushing out old wounds, and X-rays even if it doesn't look good for the Horse. Feels like she goes that Xtra mile and Sometimes that can save a Horse! (I could be a little partial). I just Feel the Love and Pain in her eyes when she can't save them.its really Heartfelt, and I'm sure the Horses Feel it too! Dr. Lydia you mean So Much to the Horses and to me! 🙏🙏🏇😇♥️♥️
Congratulations Angela on your new horse. I hope you have lots of wonderful years with him. You have a great husband to surprise you so sweetly.
Hi Tawnee. I am Darren from Australia. I think your doing a wonderful job. Keep pushing forward. Yes the road ahead will be tough. I will keep watching your channel. I am a horse person myself. To see these horses state of Jones's, is very sick to see that our fellow humans do this to these beautiful animals. Cheers and good luck.
Those kittens are absolutely adorable and thank you for taking kitties in❤
I hope you received the donations you needed, I have rescued 2 dogs and 2 cats both bonded - and if I didn't have HOA, I certainly would include farm animals in my home/family - I was DEEPLY moved and disturbed by this video - not sure how it originally appeared in my feed but it has left a life lasting impression on my heart - if I was closer my daughter and I would happily shovel shit in addition to our monthly donation! ❤❤ Please continue to share the recovery videos!
I LOVE DR. LYDIA!!!❤
What a sweet old man Copper is! I'm glad he's in a safe place ❤
You are amazing!!!!❤
Great episode. Emotional. It would be nice if Copper could stay at the rescue, or go Home with one of you. That picture of Keith, Angela and Major was the best adoption photo........sheer joy. Those officers and auction people turn my stomach. Thanks for everything you do. Ontario Canada
I am a former corrections officer. Prison guards shacking up with inmates happens ALL THE TIME. That said, great video. Your crew is amazing
I can’t believe people can abuse such beautiful animals such as horses so sad they had no chance at life because in so much pain ❤ thank you so much for the work you do…
So pleased for Angela and Keith ❤❤
I cried when Tawnee said that they have bullet proof vests on Amazon! 😣 My God!!! This is way too much. Very very sad what's happening. Lord help us! The word is so scary right now! 😢
I love Friesians!! I'm completely in love already!
HP, they will never let ya'll back in there. Theyre up to their neck with perpetuating the cruelty & neglect, they know it, thats why they need to hide as much as they can.
Just keep your head up, heels down, ride it out, keep pushing it forward - youre doing great!
💗🏆
Fabulous! Jennifer, you are a star! What a STUNNING horse Keith bought Angela. Black Beauty is out of this world and to have such amazing vets all together with you all, PHENOMENAL team work. A load of suffering intercepted. Soooo enormously well done, under such adversity x
You handle yourselves with such grace whilst under tremendous, frustrating pressure. Kudos to you all. You are heroes.
The Great Plan is: GO WITH THE FLOW!!! You're doing better now than when you went to the auction & you are screwing the auction by taking commissions from them. Do a happy dance, wait & see what happens. EGBOK
Mary Ellen nice to see you again
Love your vet ❤
Thank you, Jennifer! Also, ads don’t bother me, anything to help horses!
The world is such a sad and depressing place for so many. God sent you to be their angels.
Love dr Lydia so much! Amazing to see so many vets helping❤️
A beautiful episode. God bless you all.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you❤
I liked seeing the lady in the truck have a positive interaction with them while protesting. Big possibility she will tell others about Horse Plus being kicked out. Very cool!!
