@@kingrobert1stin a dark pub at a gig I'll take the built in tuner on mine over digging out a phone to tune...my onboard tuner works wonderfully....I have a tuner on my pedalboard as well but the on on the guitar is so much easier to navigate than any outboard gear in my view.
I just bought one of these from Amazon. The case will be here tomorrow. Are used to have a twin nest SG but I thought it was too awkward so I sold it but I’m glad I caught your video. They are really beautiful guitars and they sound great thanks for the video. Have a great day.😄❤️ I don’t have a love stamp so here’s a couple of hearts❤️❤️😄🎸 I love playing guitar. I’ve been playing guitar since 1974. I’m 71 years old. I’ve been playing for over 50 years now reading music as a finger style guitarist. I’ve actually learned how to play some Chad Atkins pieces. I’m going to check out some beautiful Beatles songs on this one thanks for the video again. Have a great and wonderful night or day.👍👍❤️😄
I have a 6 string D'Angelico electric excel SS black / gray burst well worth the money and easy to play would recommend love the look of the 12 string will try one out here in the UK
It is a beautiful looking guitar, and it sounds pretty bloody good too. I'll be honest, I prefer the fuller sound when it was only the Mic instead of the preamp
considering how much I also love playing acoustics, I can't believe I've never owned a 12 string one. I'll be moving in a few months, so rn is not the time to buy one, but I'll consider getting this one when I'm settled
Pretty guitar but I gotta say I played one of these head to head vs a "cheaper quality" Mitchell T331TCE 12 string and the Mitchell blew it away. Superior tone and playability along w/ a lower price tag made it a no brainer on which guitar I ended up taking home.
I really like D'Angelico's style. That truss rod cover is cool, but I've seen them do a bridge up the same way and it looks fantastic. Love the 12 string, the songwriter's guitar. So, have fun and get back to work!
Hi Landon, I just purchased a Relish Trinity from Sweetwater, half price, gloss purple. I can't wait to tear it up on my new axe! swap pickups easily and try the different tones. Your video and sound on the 12 string De 'Angelico are dead-on sweet. Awesome.🤘
Some 12-string greatest hits in the mix there. I have been weighing up whether to get a 12-string next. Won't be D'Angelico though. Probably Norman or Yamaha.
Hey Landon! I own the same exact guitar but in the red burst finish. I really love the way it sounds straight out of the box. I find that the built in EQ can sometimes be a bit tricky to navigate during live situations but overall it's a nice touch! I got my 12 string setup to be a Baritone Acoustic 12 String. I took it to a local luthier who made a new saddle and nut for it and strung it up with some 13-56 gauge john pearse acoustic strings. This guitar now sounds like something that leadbelly would play!. Anyway, great video man, love to see your vids pop up in my notifications!
Hands down the best looking guitar in this price range, imo. Beautifully crafted. Sounds thin to me. Of course, I'm coming from the perspective of a Guild jumbo, tho...
This is such a silly question. I've poked sweetwater but no one would happen to know what case they sent Landon that fit would they? Or any case that works for that matter. I have been scouring the internet to try to find a case that fits and their site doesn't appear to list D'Angelico. No biggie if no reply. Just thought I'd reach out to the community! :) This is such a great review too!
Very tempted as I'm in the market for a twelve string...I thought I had it down to an Ibanez artist edition but now I'm not sure...It's a pity you can't try before you buy here in Mallorca...Thanks for sharing..
I've only once, briefly played a 12-string. The extra strings felt strange under my fingertips. I sort of lost where I was. That said, it sounded just so full and room-filling. I'm sure the feel of the extra strings would be something you'd get used to. Tuning and restringing; not so much. 🤓
Nice nice. I have 2 electric D'Angelico and 1 D'Angelico 6 string acoustic electric, all excellent. This 12 seems really nice..thanks for another fun informative vid
Maton are fantastic! I've stuck with them now for acoustic. The preamp is the best out there. Love the smaller body 808 series. They do a few 12 string models.
@@esajuhanirintamaki965 LOL, I do all of my own guitar repairs and mods. I've also had very bad experiences in having other "people" work on my guitars. And this is why I do it myself now. If you haven't already, one fantastic place to look to find inspiration for what a 12 string is capable of, is the work of Leo Kottke. Hey plays them with a certain belligerence towards their difficulty to play and their sonic limitations.
The black finger is probably strings....they oxidize...you should be able to see the wound string marks in your fingers if it's the strings...if not it could be fretboard needs cleaned and maybe oiled..
The thing about certified fit cases is that you don't want to buy a case that cost more than the guitar. Unless you are planning to sell the cheaper guitar in the future and upgrade to a more expensive model, in which case your guitar choices will be limited to the fit of the ⚰case🎸.

I play a 12 string so much I can hardly play a 6 string anymore!
Thumbs up for pronouncing D'Angelico correctly.
I can't tell you how much people's mispronunciation of the name GETS ON MY NERVES. It's really simple!!
@mrsionsmith Yay! One other person gets irritated by this. Lol. And hi to me from two years ago.
It's cool that your channel has done well enough for a company to actually send you a free product - and a good one too. Congratulations!
Thank you!
Landon...Sweetwater chose the right person to work with. You are funny, articulate, and produce quality videos. Great job!
Thanks! 😃
Beautiful! After I buy the other 9 guitars on my list, I plan to buy a 12s. D'angelico are awesome guitars.

totally!

But the restringing makes me run back to my 6 string safe place LOL!

One good solution, when you are thinking that restringing is a tough job: the music store's guitar serviceman! It is not expensive, believe me!

Nice. You might find a range of prices for this box but they are all surprisingly low. If it's built to last it's a 12-string bargain.

Big giant tedious head. Not you. Yer guitar. Sounds great!
On budget guitars, the strings always make your fingers look dirty, not sure why. A new set of strings fixes that.
