The answer is in fact…. YES!!
UA-cam has launched an effort to help support recognised medical professionals who create content to get further up the algorithm.
The UA-cam ‘health shelf’ will highlight videos that specially give out medical advice. To try and then give the audience some reassurance over what information they are getting they are looking for health care creators who are either a doctor, nurse or psychologist. They have extended it to institutions that have this as their main source.
The channel needs to have 2,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months, or 5 million valid public Shorts views in the last 90 days
The aim then is this will tackle some of the health misinformation on UA-cam.
This channel (​⁠‪@GPTemplates‬ ) technically isn’t what they are after BUT I have a practice channel that is ​⁠‪@eaglescliffemedicalpractice‬ . This is because they are looking for channels that focus on health information.
They have also laid on a 10 part free education academy in partnership with Little Dot Studios - info.littledot...
