Careful Jay, is that saw looks like it’s from the show room folks might get the impression you don’t run it🤣. Seriously though it looks purty. Sounds like the wind was a whipping up there. Glad that 500i has no problems with the intake. I’ve never had a 461 at work that did not let fines past the filter.
I like to keep my saws cleaned up too, especially at the end of the season. I usually don't cut all year round just in the winter. So in the end I give them a real good clean-up. Thanks for sharing.
Funny you just posted that vid because I was just in the Stihl dealer today eyeing up the 500i. Figured maybe sell some old saws get a new one for a change lol. And on that brake clean is it safe for plastic? I know one time the guys drew something on a fellow workers hard hat for a joke. Well he went to clean it off with brake clean and it melted the thing!!! Lol idk maybe he left it on there for a while and that’s how it messed it up or different plastic but it was totally screwed after lol.
The 500i is honestly the best saw ive owned or ran, they are really comfortable and awesome power. A 28" stihl light bar is perfect on them. I run full comp and skip tooth on mine and never had an issue cutting hard or soft wood. I've never had any issues with brake clean on my saws I use non chlorinated so maybe that is the difference?
A clean saw is a happy saw!good seeing ya buddy! 👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏

I need to be a better care taker of my stuff. To many times I run them and put the up dirty 🙁
