"While the neighbors with guns show up to provide cover." As a gun-owning and -carrying civilian, that sentence warms my heart. This is what all of us hope we can live up to should the situation ever arise.
I wonder what did happen to the good neighbors after this had transpired. Does anyone have the aftermath of their help? I feel in todays heavily politicized environment they would have caught some flak from this, but I really hope they at least got a recognition of their bravery and assistance to the 2 injured officers.

I love how many of us know so much legitimate combat theory from video games like CS. If you think this is a joke, I played CS for like 4 years from 14-18. At 18, I decided I wanted to write a book, so I did some research on combat theory so I could be at least decently accurate. I read a few army manuals and realized that I knew most of the theory from just playing video games like CS. It's actually wild. Now, it's also really important to remember that knowing the theory isn't the same as being able to do it in practice, much less in combat.

I was involved in a situation that could have very easily turned into this. While driving home from picking up dinner for my family one evening, i witnessed 2 tweakers attempt to flee from a Montana State Trooper during a traffic stop. The idiot driver ended up crashing out right next to me up against a massive lamp pole and the trooper was able to pin the vehicle in. The trooper immediately exited his vehicle, alone with no backup in sight, weapon drawn, and began issuing commands to exit the vehicle which they initially did not do. Being a USAF Security Forces veteran (the air force's MPs) and someone who carries everywhere i go, i immediately yelled over to the trooper asking if he needed help. As soon as he responded "YES!", i threw my vehicle in park, drew my weapon (Glock 19), and ran over to provide overwatch while we both challenged the suspects out of the vehicle. They initially refused to comply until they realized that the trooper was no longer alone and they had multiple weapons trained on them. One at a time, they exited the vehicle and i continued to hold overwatch as the trooper began cuffing and quick searching the first suspect and backup began to arrive right as the second person was getting down on her face. I was able to direct the 2nd officer on scene to the second suspect who was still not in cuffs and once she was detained, the situation was under control and more backup (pretty sure all of it lol) continued to arrive and take over the scene. I put my weapon back in my holster, shook the officers hands, and got back in my vehicle to head home. It all happened so quick and i was so glad that even after being a civilian for 13 years at that point, my training came right back to me and i was able to help that day. We all know how quickly that situation could have gotten much worse!

To this day this is still some of my favorite bodycam footage. Mad props to the neighbors who showed up without so much as a bulletproof vest and saved the day
This is a crazy situation. Thankfully the Officers are alive. Praise to the neighbors who showed up to back up the officers!
love seeing a community come together like this
I'm not an expert, but the deputies first on the scene looked like they did everything reasonable. I can't commend enough the professionalism of the department for how they resolved the situation.
You may not be an expert , but John from active self protection is . Just ask him.
Still got shot in the face 🙃
100% agree... Especially considering all the Department were eventually able to roll out (hours later) were a few more guys in Explorers? Not shitting on smaller departments, but it must suck knowing you have no real backup.

One day I will visit. Thank you for your work to protect the people of Morocco.
Cudo’s to that guy, he took charge of the situation, put suppressing fire on the suspect to keep from charging, and communicated a evacuation plan for the officers
And this is why I love the sheriff's that tell their community to arm themselves
Bro took his opportunity to mag dump at his neighbors house 😂
What would those officers have done without those responsible ARMED citizens? This is some truly heroic stuff.
Things that only make sense to Americans. After 1 incident with a weapon out of maybe 8 there also was a good guy with a weapon so therefore we don't strip everyone of their weapons - no, let's give out more. Surely that's gonna fix the fact that gun related deaths excluding suicide have risen up since 2014 by almost 100%.
Right? And the left wants to punish lawfully armed citizens and remove our arms we count on for protection. Idiots and criminals don't respect the law.
Something tells me they’ve been looking forward to this moment for a long long time with this particular neighbor
Hmmm this comment has a underlying message that I completely agree with
If only that gun hadnt been sold to that guy huh?
I’m glad the cops ended up being alright and that there were some neighbors there willing to step up and help instead of just sitting back recording with cell phones
Did any of the Officers loose permanent Vision in their eeyes

Just shows you how deadly guns actually are. One spot and you’re down.
Granted if I was in that scenario being able to see at all would be a blessing.
Yeah, I heard that. That conversation was like, “What time ya got?”, “Four-thirty”. No emotion, anger, concern on either officer’s part. Just another day at the office.
Adrenaline and the will to live. Those things are not powerful at all.
Props to the neighbors who assisted not only to get the injured officers to safety but also to hold the front until SWAT showed up and allow the injured officers to get to the hospital.
Also The officers who were injured are Chad's for staying in the fight even after both getting shot in the face with the bye-bye stick, even though it's birdshot taking bird shots to face would hurt like hell and all the blood definitely makes it harder to see your sites or optic
The calm and cool nature of the calls on the radio and the communication of these deputies is amazing this should be a training video for any first responder. Im glad they are ok after this incident.
Gr8 idea!
Makes me feel like they're ex military combat vets
The way he said “im loosing vision on my left eye” and the other responded “ok” was badass 🚫🧢
@@bradc7254Not always true. Sometimes it's about the individual pure and simple. Nothing else to it. Ive been in a situation where a gun was pulled and I was calm and assessed. Also there's plenty of ex vet cops that end up going nuts while on duty. And no I'm not saying there's a correlation. Just using it as an example
Wow. I was kind of scared for that officer that had his left eye closed in the press conference. I'm happy to hear they are better and getting help. Shout out to the neighbors that helped

Yep, most of us in Washington state are beyond fed up with the rampant crime in our state. The only downside is that our dictator/governor got rid of the death penalty.
Agreed. But maybe don’t try this for anybody living in a larger city
Honestly, I'm not sure I'd help a boy in blue these days. The probability is pretty high that the guy I save today will be throwing me into a gas chamber in six months because his Democrat masters ordered him to. And, as we know, most of the boys in blue just follow orders without thinking about their oaths or the bigger picture.

As a brit, this is so cool. Thats EXACTLY what the 2nd amendment is for. Police in trouble? Thise good guys with guns step in and send hell down range. 💪🏻
The bad guy wouldn’t have a gun without the second amendment in the first place. No need for good guys with guns without a bad guy with one.
@o240dec9 if bad guys are willing to be bad then they're willing to break the law to obtain a gun.
@@Stephillpotten Without the second amendment there wouldn’t be guns around to obtain this easily. The US population has spent a century enmassing so many guns, that there are now about 120 of them per 100 population. If the second amendment wouldn’t have been around historically, this problem wouldn’t exist. If you live in a place where guns always have been very strictly regulated you will find it incredibly difficult to get one illegally. You are right in so far as that if someone really NEEDS a gun for criminal purposes, they will find a way to get one no matter where they are, but the effort they have to put into it is much higher in places where they are strictly regulated and opportunities are much less frequent. The guy in this video quite obviously didn’t plan this though, he was just drunk out of his mind. In this exact situation, the second amendment is responsible for two amazing cops being injured.
What "hell" did they bring downrange? From what I could see, two officers got shot in the head while the others didn't do shit and the suspect surrendered in the end... Smh it was An embarrassment, really.
