I don't know much about Navy Corpsmen and Medical procedures but one time when I was at school I saw a cat and it let me pet it.
Here Kitty Kitty..
I wish I had a medal I could hand to you. 😭
Here, I think we have a certification for that

Jesus, dirty civilian really is on a role with these videos. Keep it up!
Shout out to all the " Docs " whom ever served! Great content.
You guys are an incredible company doing awsome things! I love seeing the content and your growth and excited to see where you guys go, I think your finally doing something no one has been but is so so needed in this community.
I've been monitoring UA-cam for many years looking for channels that don't have unnecessary stuff and most of the videos are actually useful. Tactics, prepping, bushcraft, military channels, of all the channels I know yours is at least one of the three best. Each new video is better than the previous one. Keep it up guys! greetings from Ukraine
Is that a swastika
@@alexanderb5644 It's not...
@@prostrel lmao yes it is. That's the Waffen SS 5th panzer division symbol, a Nazi div that specifically engaged in Ukraine using foreign volunteers. Real subtle kiddo
@@alexanderb5644 Not going to answer dude who uses word "kiddo"
I certainly don't condone the symbolism in your profile picture either....
Remove that shit immediately.
Soon as he said "Corpsman", I already knew that Doc's word is law in this here vidya.
Another banger!!!! Great works boys!
Excellent content boys, keep up the good work.
Great interview!!! Incredibly proud of my son!!
Bad Brad…
51:10 to 53:28 - A wise man once told me that I should never feel guilty about the time spent away from my family while earning a living to provide for them. To me this also meant I needed to clearly define what my “work” is, and to cherish any and all time I spend with them.
Edit: added end time, for full context
Keeping up the rep of FMF, rah doc. FMF forever! We're the red headed step children between the Navy and USMC. I miss my time with the Marines
As a 20 year Corpsman with 7 years of it with the Devil Dogs...I got respect for every HM🇺🇲🇺🇲
This was a great interview and knowledgeable video! In the future I would love to attend some of the bear courses.
I have a good amount of medical training under my belt through various fields, including wildland and leo. The main skills I have used have been holding C-Spine, applying a TQ and giving chest compressions. Example for chest compressions... Being closer than EMS for an unresponsive or even showing up to help lift and you end up jumping in rotation for compressions. Learn the basics to be prepared.
28:05 - Medical liability and State licensure. Those are the blockers.
Me, an FMF corpsman with who spent almost 8 years on Camp Lejeune, first starting at the ER on base and then going with the infantry guys, having all kinds of experience…but nothing to show for…. It’s almost a similar experience to this guy.
He says it’s gotten better, but it’s only gotten a literal hair better. And now that I’m out (2020) I’m in that struggling phase of trying to figure out what to do. I decided to no longer pursue medical due to some experiences working in the ER at such a young age. It took a lot out of me, but I was damn good at what I did which makes it hard. Time to time I consider doing it again but my heart isn’t there anymore still.
I tried to be a school guardian in Florida but was not hired unfortunately after some issues with the sheriff office trying to obtain some records from my service and health history. I hope any other corpsman out there struggling, sees this video and my comment and knows that the experiences are not out of the norm for people like us. Just keep going like I have been…and hopefully, something along the way, sparks a new fire in you. It’s been 3 years so far for me, but I’m still learning a lot about myself in the process.
How's it going now Doc, I know you wrote this a while ago. Hope you're solid.
@@Beefry222no worries man, things get lost easily in the comments sometimes lol. Only a little has changed for me. I’ve finally managed to land a part time job not to long ago. It’s sort of a needs based position so it isn’t consistent but it’s nice to be able to do something that has been a lot of fun while learning something new.
While it’s not exactly ideal, as I’d prefer something full time and fulfilling while full time, it’s absolutely great what I’m doing now when I can do it. Hoping to stick around for it long enough to see if a position opens up for full time that I may be able to apply for. The position I have itself is not available but I think under the company I’m working for it’s possible I can land into something else if I show up and perform when they ask.
I still really do wish I could’ve been a school guardian. I really do. But, I also see it as maybe life has other plans for me. Maybe even that plan being to slow down a little and enjoy it a little more. Who knows 🤷🏽♂️
My wife and I moved away from Nashville too soon in 2019. Would've loved to visit and meet you guys!
are some you guys from Dirty Civ from Trex?
If you guys ever visit the Minneapolis metro and want to go on a ride along with me on the rescue, hit me up. You'll get to see some ish as long as we are code 4. OD's are great fun, lol. Plus you get to practice situational awareness as you're delivering CPR and the roommate pulls a knife thinking you're gonna take the drugs, lol.
29:11 - C-c-c-combo (breaker!) Killer instinct 🤘🏽
Idk how this “should i look at my holster” thing is so debated either way- there are applications for looking at it, and for not looking at it, and you should be able to do both
Nice, rah.
New drinking game: When Josh mentions MOS pound a pint of jack and coke.
20:20 the strange part is not being allowed to drink, responsibility and military service is the norm for most of human history.
Timestamps would be cool. Tighten up boys
Not whining is cool too
@@Beartron.actual not whining just giving them a hard time. Real men generally bust each other's balls. It's a sign of endearment
Unless the conversation is very structured, we tend to stay away from timestamps for long podcast conversations.
3:25 -5:00 As a neurosurgeon, great job getting the diagnoses right!
Are you though 🤔
Former US Paratrooper/medic turned paramedic for nearly 26 years.
The ice thing is real. What's worse, in the hood, we saw civ throw milk on PCP and or opioid ODs. Civs be yelling, HE NEED SOME MILK! while ole PCP boy is punching busses and trying to pull up concrete. Lol
The doctor voice🤣
Just like a college diploma, all your military training truly means nothing, because everyone has it.
More people need to be looking to go into the trades.
Yes you're going to work harder, in weather, shitty long hours, but you dont end up with that massive college debt, which negates what you make, and if your assertive, be making $30+/hr in 5-6 years.
Life after military was hard.
But I went the trades route and make a better living than those guys who went to college for those 4-6 years.
Algorithm buster
This guy is the doppelganger of the actor who play the father of chris kyle in american sniper lol
Hahaha 100%
EMS!? Thats uber with an IV! 😂😂😂
Wait a medic in the US military nic name is “doc” no freaking way that’s hilarious…..😑
