- I think that original Naruto is better than Naruto Shippuden and in this video I explain why!

Although Naruto Shippuden has better fights like Naruto vs. Pain and Might Guy vs. Madara people just can't look past that fact. And even then part 1 of Naruto has iconic fights such as Rock Lee vs. Gaara and Naruto vs. Sasuke.
What really makes the original Naruto better to me is the connection we had with the characters. Characters like Rock Lee, Neji, Kiba, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, Ino, and even Sakura. had large roles in part one but during Shippuden it seemed as though they had been forgotten.

What do you think, is original Naruto or Naruto Shippuden better?
I think og Naruto is better IMO
It had so much charm after og naruto ended if you werent a god you basically couldn't do anything plot wise except fuck it up
like you said, they turned him from a failing kid who got a second chance to the son of the fourth hokage, the chosen one, and a fucking reincarnation of a god. OG all the way
Shippuden
Shippuden is better
I’d have to agree, the original naruto seemed way more cool, more serious, it gave off a real early 2000s cartoon/anime vibe that’s what I like about it. Everything about it was badass and the world felt way more mysterious
Yeah it was so different from the normal spoon-fed cartoon crap you watch as a kid and that's why it succeeded on Toonami. I'm actually working on a video on this topic right now including things like pokemon, naruto, and one piece. So if that sounds interesting then maybe consider subscribing :)
@@NitsuaVids sure
I just like it becuz it was a ninja show, ppl still do hand sign and shit. While shippuden especially at the last war arc, shit became dragon ball z on crack
It's because shippuden had horrible(nigh none existent) world building and no character building outside Naruto Sasuke and Kakashi
@@tobiramasenju6290 uhm, im sorry but wrong. it was weak world building but to say theres none is absolutely stupid lmao
Shippuden ruined the legacy of Naruto because it proved Neji's philosophy on becoming great in the ninja world right. The ones who are great are born into greatness either by being part of a powerful bloodline, or through prophecy. No weak as ninja with nothing special about them will ever amount to true greatness even with hard work.
Which is why Guy and Lee are actually my favorite characters. Their strength is a result of pure hard work and constantly challenging themselves without the cheat code powers all the other ninjas have and thats what gives them greatness.
Naruto was supposed to be the underdog who couldn't get anything right without an insane amount of effort and practice put in. But not only did he have the 9 tails cheat activated every time his health gets low, we find out he's not only the SON of the great 4th Hokage, but also a reincarnation of the son, who is the son of the being who started Ninshu/Ninjutsu/Chakra ditribution from the very beginning. It completely undoes all of it.
@@DemonSaineyeah if they were going for an underdog story then it should have been about lee. I don’t think the writers really thought shit through
That happened already in the original fight as Naruto literally couldn’t land a hit until he used the nine tails power which wasn’t earned through hard work
@@Blondie_117 the grace is that Naruto, although he had a clearly superior hidden power, was motivated to control part of that power, which he succeeded, the battle was balanced, Neji himself was born with a unique gift and then Naruto won through ingenuity not thanks to the nine tails.
True, even tho naruto was born with the nine tails, he's literally trying to work hard just to be strong enough
I still think the Chuunin exams arc was peak Naruto
You think right
Chunin Exam arc> Pain Invasion arc
Hot take: It made me almost quit watching the anime but that's mostly the animes fault and how often the fights were interrupted by inner monologue
No pain arc
@@themanwithnothingtolose Land of Waves arc > Fourth War arc
I feel like Naruto Shippuden was too focused on Sasuke and Narutos relationship and stuff that wasn't in the og naruto like working to become hokage. Everything just seemed all over the place especially after the 5 kage summit. The fighting was cool and all but it wasn't strategic like part 1 to the point i forgot the characters are ninjas.
yeah it definitely didn't feel like a ninja show anymore
Naruto says “How could i become hokage if i can’t even save one friend.” His pursuit towards Sasuke and learning to understand him was integral to his development to becoming hokage. Sasuke was the one person that was so similar to him in so many ways, but so different in a way he couldn’t reach. But no matter how bleak it seemed throughout the series he never stopped trying to reach him. Naruto and Sasuke’s relationship is one of my favorite things about the series. There is a video essay called “in defense of naruto and sasuke” i believe, i recommend u watch it. I understand this vid’s criticisms towards Shippuden though, the majority of the cast being sidelined, along with power creep etc are huge issues but what Kishimoto did decide to focus on after the timeskip I love
@@EmeraldaKasim I’ll definitely watch it.
@@EmeraldaKasim "Naruto and Sasukes relationship was one of my favorite parts about the series". I would hope so because that's what 95% of the show was about.
@@tobiramasenju6290 Nah more like 65%
Og Naruto: About ninjas and strategy
Naruto Shippuden: About aliens and titans overbuffs
Only the final part.
Akatsuki member are only kage Level character except Hidan.
This analysis is just stupid . Kaguya wasn't even introduced until the last second, and Shippuden focused on how Naruto grew withiu Kurama , using sage mode and working on his jutsu, meanwhile giving us an incredible fight between Jiraiya and Pain. Not to mention, it showed Sasuke overcoming Orochimaru , gaining power and teammates that let him survive insane battles , and it showed the growth between Naruto and Sasuke . Let's not forgot that Shippuden showed that without transplanting eyes, Sasuke would've gone blind . Also, his genjutsu was essentially shit compared to Itachi, and it just all went to show that Sasuke seeking vengeance would always still be at a disadvantage. It showed Jiraiya's, and Itachi's noble deaths , yet allowing them both to power up . And without Sasuke ever getting the Rinnegan, a regular KLM Naruto would've washed him , considering he had a second soul (Kurama) to snap him out of genjutsu, and he would've completely overpowered Sasuke, especially being a perfect Jinchurriki. Original Naruto was great, but just like so many other manga , if it hadn't had a sequel to flesh things out and make things come full circle, it never would've been as great. Anyone complaining about Shippuden has to be a 30 plus year old Dragon Ball fan, probably more like 40 or 50. Stop whining so much when the plot literally explains the storyline. What would Naruto have been without Shippuden? Nothing. You're just a bunch of old ass Dragon Ball Z fans still waiting on Gohan to be come the protagonist. Don't ruin another series just because you all wanna be sour losers.
@@Tripz2000 facts Naurto & Naurto Shippuden is both Peak shows 🐐 it’s basically same show but they got older😂
@@TeamLilCorey what is this level of dickridding
@SixEyesSatoru tbh considering that the final part of naruto shippuden when it went to shit is 300 episodes to 200 episodes of the first part. The ratio is clearly bigger. So saying aliens and crazy power levels isn't wrong as this was 60% of the show
I miss the old mysterious fights in naruto part one, seeing kakashi and zabuza having a stand off and having this tactical fight was peak.
1. Power escalation
2. in part 1, every jutsu had a special effect, strengths and weaknesses, which led to strategic fights. in part 2, the last one that was kind of strategic was Sasuke vs Deidara.
3. Too less focus on other characters. It would have been a lot to tell in addition, sure. But I would rather watch this + all of them fighting as chunin and jonin in a war in a forest, than 10 different stages of Obito and Madara being overpowered for hundrets of chapters, which leads to 4.
4. In my opinion the most important one, it was not about ninja missions anymore. Naruto was at its best, when they were on missions, they were more or less underqualified for. Every mistake could lead to a downfall. It was about traps, hiding, information gathering, etc. I loved moments like when Sasuke pulled kunai and demanded the scroll from Kabuto and Kabuto replied, if Sasuke would have been serious, he would just have attacked him with an ambush attack. That's how a ninja would fight.
Facts
Sasuke Vs Deidara was plot convenience.
There should be no way single Lightning nature should cancel out a Kekai Genkai.
Facts they felt more like actual Shinobi, not literal gods.
You hit the nail on the head. The only mission we've seen anyone go on was the land of waves. Yeah the Sasuke retrieval arc was a "mission" but it wasn't just like a traditional mission requested by another village.
@@tobiramasenju6290 Thanks
The whole shippuden was finding sasuke and taking him back to the village .

Naruto (as in the series) was destined to fail. Rushing plot, writers fatigue, etc happened to all of the big 3 and even dragon ball. I much, much, much prefer part 1 of Naruto over Shippuden. It's interesting because I only started to appreciate the little things as I got older
Yeah I was so addicted to the original Naruto as a kid and now looking back I can see why.
The OG Naruto for the T.V series have over 200 episodes while Shippiden have exactly 500. After the pain event of Shippiden I noticed there was more filler and flashbacks from left to right and it just drags on that I just can't stomach Part 2 from one ep to the next ep. And it's not even good filler too compared to all of OG Naruto.
@@haaxxx9 tbh, there were some filler in the first Naruto series but I found them enjoyable. The fillers in Shippuden are worse because they were semi fillers in Naruto's journey that I just didn't care for. It's the type of episode that you would watch in the morning on TV but forget it even existed the next day
It was destined to fail because Kishimoto flat out stated he didn't plan/storyboard at all. He knew he wanted big monster fights (like he grew up on), and for Naruto & Sasuke to be the LAST fight/sequence of the series. Everything else was him playing by ear, which is why Madara had such a stupid death, because he had no idea how to kill him off at that point, and why the power creep kept getting more and more ridiculous.
I think more writers need to focus on deciding what is the UPPER limit/max they want possible in their writing from the beginning, that way creep quits happening like it does. That's why the power scale of shows like HxH are so beloved.
Didn't happen to one piece tho
The original Naruto is just so nostalgic, makes me sad when I look at Boruto
I think with the power scale up was generally just a problem with the whole series, not just Shippuden. Even in the first series nearly all of the genin side characters were not comparable to Naruto Kyuubi or Sasuke with Orochimaru's curse mark. Either way this was really well made and most points are agreeable.
Thanks! And yeah it kinda was always a problem, but it’s also a very hard one to fix.
Sasuke Retrieval arc helped this problem a lot. Had the Naruto arcs continued this concept of giving the other konoha 11 a chance to compete, Naruto shippuden would've been light years ahead
Yeah they weren't comparable to the literal strongest tailed beast and the strongest curse mark but if you think rock Lee would have struggled against base Naruto then you're coo coo
Yeah but until sasuke retrieval, I feel like they could have fixed this issue......... For the most part
I partially disagree, I could clearly imagine Rock Lee with 5 gates managing both, in fact Neji already gave a kyuubi amped Naruto a run for his money, so it shows that they were in fact at least relative in strength.
I actually stopped consuming part 2 once it started dragging out and becoming extremely detached from the origins. It almost felt like the main characters were transported in to another universe since it went from throwing shuriken to shooting massive balls of death.
They were throwing massive balls of death in part 1 too, stop the bias. Unless you’re gonna proclaim to not know who Gaara or Naruto were. Part 1 started off with the near destruction of the hidden leaf, stop the cap.
@@AnnoyingMobileGames Someone's triggered.
@@DrewPicklesTheDark I’m not triggered, I just find it inconceivable how imbeciles find their way to create bs excuses of why they dislike something. If you dislike it then just say that. Don’t spew falsehoods to justify your opinion.
@@AnnoyingMobileGames You sound pretty angry to me. The reason I like it less is for the reason I stated. What do you want me to say? Make up some reason that is satisfactory for _your_ opinion?
@@DrewPicklesTheDark Hello genius. Tone and inflection can’t be denoted through text without cues. I can’t possibly sound angry if you can’t hear my tone. Anyways, it’s not about you not having a reason. It’s about you giving a crappy excuse. Whether or not you have a solid reason doesn’t excuse the cap that you stated. Part 1 Naruto featured rock Lee blowing up an entire stadium by running to Gaara then hitting Gaara at faster than the speed of light. It’s always been a beyond life anime. Massive balls of death? Meet part 1 Shukaku, a tailed beast with the power to do a tailed beast bomb. ROFL
the Akatsuki saved Naruto Shippuden
Naruto part 1 was simplistic, and easy to understand while being enjoyable to entertain almost everyone with its fight, originality, and different styles and types within the power system,it had charectes relying on their witz, skill, and strategy to come up on top.
Yeah that's a great point. It appealed to everyone
I like the show (shippuden) in my opinion I didn’t like how they went all 7 deadly sins overpowered fighting( yes I know one anime came up before the other), you can say with some fights where Naruto had to just has to use his head. And they did actually try to expand the story and the world in the show so it isn’t really that bad
@@djsuperqueen1248 yeah, I don't think my main problem is that Naruto got so powerful. I think it's that all of the other characters didn't, leaving them with nothing to contribute
@@djsuperqueen1248 But I don't hate shippuden, I just like the original more

I completely agree with your analysis about smaller and more intimate stakes making me care more about the original Naruto. Hell, Zabuza and Haku may have barely had an impact on the larger world, but their backstories were top notch, and I cried when they died as a kid. Rewatching that fight still gets me emotional. That's also why I really like the Hidan and Kakazu as well as Pain arcs in Shippuden because they do the best job recapturing the magic of the original.
naruto og had a darker tone in my opinion especially for tsunade she was a juxter postion from narutos overall happy and optomistic outlook om life because she was a spiteful old drunk sad woman who dealt with pain through unhealthy ways naruto og had a darker tone and way less plot holes so as a story i believe its better but i had a lot more fun watching shipuden just because of all the hype moments it has
Yeah I mean I can’t think of anything darker than the Zabuza arc in Naruto.
@@NitsuaVids yes true i forgot about that somehow a gang of assassins keeping a monopoly over a village basically keeping the people who live there captive yes that is probably the darkest
Yeah when orochimaru was the villain

Prob because shippuden was more hype, war arc and pain arc carried shippuden
Part 1: why Sasuke left Konaha
Part 2: Finding Sasuke
Because of aoi rokusho
Shippuden also to a point chucked out the attention to other characters. OG Naruto gave moments to every character. Rock Lee vs. Gaara, Neji being one of the strongest Genin, etc. In Shippuden, nobody aside from Naruto and Sasuke got development. You stated this perfectly. Nobody except Naruto and Sasuke could do anything, and everyone was done only for the sake of Naruto and Sasuke’s. Also Shippuden just felt pretty different at a certain point. I honestly just said everything you did lol but it’s facts.
the original series was something something different than shippiden it had it's own charm characters was more likeble shippiden later on wasn't even about ninja's side characters are either too weak or unlikeble I feel more emotion in naruto than in shippiden naruto part 2 is just kids fighting on who has better eyes etc than thus creature boruto alien and robot generation
I totally agree
Yeah it had a nice 2000s cartoon feel to it. I didnt even watch it growing up but felt nostalgic watching it. And the side characters actually did thinga
Your thoughts on naruto are similar to my thoughts to the original Dragon Ball. DBZ is ok but original Dragon Ball will always be better in my opinion
Yeah I’ve only seen a little bit of dragon ball, but I’ve heard lots of people say that
Nah
No way
Honestly I watched it and it got boring and I thought was a little drawn out but might just be the fights
A bold take, considering the main problem people have with Dragonball is that it's just Goku all the time. And DBZ making that less so
Naruto part 1, everyone started with what they experienced before becoming a shinobi. We grow with every character in terms of emotional maturity, internal turmoil, and just daily getting out of those challenges while putting the mission on top priority. I literally cried in the first episode when Iruka sensie protected Naruto with his life, despite The Fox killed his entire family.
Watching naruto as a kid taught me to keep going no matter what baggage you carry. Basically show up like nothing else matters because you never give up.
Naruto did broken mc things even in the first episode. He was hinted at as the fourth hokages kid from when we first meet Itachi. He also has always been broken since even when jiraiya first teaches him about the 9 tails chakra. The only thing that makes him an underdog is the fact that the mass amount of villagers deny he has potential until he becomes so much stronger than everyone they can’t deny him.
Part 2 should have ended at the pain arc. Have sage naruto fight ems sasuke in the valley and end it. You could have had a 3rd series and had it focusing on the whole of the kohona 13, but after pain and itachi, the naruto/sasuke story was wrapped up, naruto killed the (presumed) leader of the akatsuke and surpased (apparently) jiraya and minato. And everything was pretty much just above the power scale of what we had known in the series to that point, where the kage were right around the level of the 3 sanin, and the scary villians were just beyond that, and the heroes had to surpase their mentors to defeat them. There should have then been a 3rd series for the war arc where the rest of the konoha 13 had to use their special skills to win battles in a war that was more then just a massive free for all against zombie badguys of yester year.
I said the same thing...
the original naruto osts were much better in the original

Part 1>Part 2 in Naruto
Finally, a video like this.
Last time I searched "Naruto part 1 is better than part 2" on UA-cam, this video still hadn't come out; now that I've watched it, I'm happy someone is finally voicing such an opinion.
With this as your first video, you can't go wrong. I hope your channel grows!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! I've been covering this topic too! Original Naruto just did everything right!
Shippuden for me was always having ups and downs.. I'm thankful for characters like Jiraya,Pain,Itachi,madara... But just because shippuden gave me better character development of character stories.. That doesn't mean the entire series was an A! You also gonna think about the power scaling, the directions the story is going in. (The execution) But that's my opinion!
Yeah i could rewatch original Naruto all day, but not shippudden
Original Naruto more serious and darker shippuden more action and fights
IMO I felt like Naruto being minato’s son isn’t bad, it’s not the BEST thing but it isn’t a bad thing.. plus they kinda hinted at it back in part 1 anyways. But every other aspect like him being a prophecy, etc.. ruined him… even if he was minato’s son he was still disrespected, treated like a joke and was basically an underdog in every way and his motives for becoming hokage didn’t stop making me feel happy to see him succeeding in shippudden. Again, being a child of prophecy, the reincarnation of lkke a god or something I can’t even remember what else but THOSE ruined it for me, him becoming hokage didn’t feel rewarding it felt bias and the fact that it was destiny for him to be hokage ruined it COMPLETELY. I’m just gonna ignore all those aspects of Naruto and focus on part 1 and everything before the war arc because if I count the war arc it’ll ruin everything and my enjoyment(I really connected with Naruto when I was younger). I do think that there are amazing parts in shippudden but it lacked consistency in the story unlike part 1
So well made and informative! Love the deep symbolism behind every action sequence. Great work!
I appreciate the support!
It actually makes me sick when people say they just watch shippuden or recommend only shippuden.
the drawings of original naruto is way better than shippuden fr
I'm watching Shippuden right now so i could continue without getting spoiled but i have to agree original just felt more personal and I'm disappointed in how Naruto still basically spams shadow clones in Shippuden (at least til season 4 where I'm at right now)
The gag with Swing-kun is what got me to subscribe
OG Naruto always the goat, we had amazing characters like Lee, Kiba, Shino,Neji, Jiraya... The main villain was perfect too ( Orochimaru the goat), fights were just etrategy with a little bit of power ups but not enough to overshadow the fight and that made them epic, The soundtrack is unbeatable whole songs are iconics ( Sadness and Sorrow, Strong and Strike...), and the arcs were just perfection since Haku and Zabuza arc to Rescue of Sasuke, for me Shippuden wasted the potential that OG Naruto had.
Totally. I also do think shippuden had some great villains with Pain and Obito tho

the early vibe of naruto was that of a dystopian steampunk japan in an alternate future of meiji japan.. kind of like a mad max of ninjas. its was a grounded setting that reflected on the fights which were more personal intimate gritty and gory and filled with body horror and psychological warefare. even the design of characters was good they looked unique mean and ruthless and that reflected on the fights. it was a dystopian world where teenagers where raised to be merciless killers it felt like the stakes are high because of the severe consequences of each fight it kept the tension high despite the scales being smaller which also made the world feel bigger and more threatening there was a general plot happening in which the small subplots of our characters played their small roles in it which made it immersive .. looking at early naruto you would think the story would be about tactical ninja espionage wars with pychological elements and set of unique well written characters ..then show got popular shippuden came so they had to make it more marketable and kid friendly..it lost all the violence stakes casualtities injuries .it turned from a show about ninjas to power rangers of justice. everyone became so friendly. remember the introduction of ninjas in the written chunin exam everyone looked like an ice cold killer now that vibe is gone now everyone feels like an average suburbian 15 years old ..every fight became a therapy session and everything was about emotionality.. the plot used to happens around the charatcers but by the end plot happended for the 2 main characters... ofc the show was still decent but by the end it lost most of its charm and never fullfilled the early promise which was a 'hxh' scale story...idk maybe the author wasnt allowed to complete his vision because of censorship or he just witten himself into a corner with all the early characters introduced or maybe he had a great concept but didnt know how to expand upon it properly.
Og naruto had fun character designs, the amazing tankbons oozing with attitude and had a samurai x feel to it but placed in a modern world
I love your video keep going bro and please do like these videos about naruto plot holes ect... ❤️
Thanks! Although I'm probably not going to do another Naruto video for a while because there's other topics related to anime and manga that I want to discuss. But I will continue to keep improving the quality of my video's overtime.
The power-scaling is all over the charts in Shippuden. In OG Naruto, higher level jutsu = more chakra usage. There are pros and cons. Kakashi doesn't spam Raikiri as that was only used as a last resort. Naruto gets a pass (I guess?) cause he has the 9-tails chakra as his reserve. Jiraiya is legend so it's understandable he could arguably has more chakra reserve than Kakashi's. In terms of hard work, Rock Lee stomps. In terms of genius, Neji takes the cake.
Winning a fight doesn't mean you leave out unscathed. Both Neji and Choji would die after fighting Kidomaru and Jirobo if Tsunade and Shizune doesn't heal them (hell do you remember the pentagram needed to heal Neji?). Shikamaru, Kiba and Rock Lee would straight up be dead if Temari, Kankuro and Gaara doesn't save their ass. This also shows the power of the cursed seal mark as Gaara would've LOST if Kimimaro wasn't sick as he's out of chakra and Kimimaro still has reserves after fighting Naruto, Rock Lee and Gaara consecutively.
Chunin exam was definitely my favourite
First I used to think shippuden was better but now after hearing your thoughts I changed my mind and also I have so much good memories watching the original part one of naruto in the winter of 2020
It's crazy how we can become nostalgic about things that we only experienced a couple of years ago
i respect your points, and in my way of seeing it i would describe it as Shippuden had higher highs, but lower lows. Shippuden peaked at the Pain arc for me, after that it i think it got a bit too all over the place.
Naruto is very simple, but its focused. its has a real charm to it, and its intense because we are still exploring the ninja world, we are still exploring and learning about these characters. theres real weight to the drama and the action. for example, we get a sense of Narutos strength. hes not super overpowered yet, so when we are introduced to new characters like Gaara, who has shown to be very strong and scary, you know he will be a tough battle for Naruto. we have seen the work Naruto has put in up until that point, and you feel a great sense of accomplishment for when he finally defeated Gaara. you know how tough it was for him.
in Shippuden, i feel the same way, but only until the Pain Arc. after he defeated Pain, he became ridiculously strong. characters like Gaara dont mean a thing anymore. you pretty much know Naruto is going to just throw giant rasengan bombs at his enemies until theyre defeated. everyone is just throwing planet destroying attacks. the power scale is just way way too high now, and although it is still entertaining, it has no real weight to it anymore. i dont feel a challenge for Naruto bc i know hes so strong hes going to win. even when he “died” in the war, i didnt feel anything.
then when it came to the enemies of Shippuden, again, great until after Pain. Madera was built up as the next great bad guy, and he was, but then they totally undermine him with Kaguya, which was was completely unearned. the whole war arc was completely unearned. it was very rushed, despite being super slow. characters were just showing powers out of the blue that theyve never shown or even hinted at before. Kaguya herself was never hinted, she just appeared out of nowhere. a show about Ninja with powers, all the sudden introduced aliens during its finale. the smaller scaled battles even felt pretty rushed and just uninspired. excuse my language, but i felt like Kishimoto was just pulling stuff from his ass at that point and just making stuff up as he went.
dont get me wrong, i know i have a lot of complaints, but still a great series, still a great arc, its just the weakest one which is not saying much because theyre all very good still. i just think the war arc wasnt well thought out, and didnt carry much dramatic weight like the rest of the series before it. its not until Naruto and Sasuke fight again where you feel real weight because both characters are the protagonists of the series, both characters are equal, both characters had long and deep journeys that we all got to watch over about 20 years. there was a lot at stake here, and this was arguably what the series was about, bringing Sasuke home.
at the end of the day though, i love both series, and i dont even refer to each series as its own. its all just simply Naruto to me. however, if i were to differentiate them, then i do love the charm of Naruto, but the storytelling of Shippuden up until after the Pain arc is top notch!
Facts.
I always had this cozy feeling when watching OG Naruto and the Village shenanigans. It felt like the whole cast functioned as one. The 3rd Hokage, Genin clique, Jonins etc.
It felt believable. Once Shippuden made all those Jonin and Kage-level fights a child's play, it was never the same. Even the Pain arc while generally cool lost much in my eyes because a villain that destroys a village in one super-ability that is not an elaborate rouse or anything feels ridiculous. I'd really like the power cap to stay much closer to Sarutobi vs Orochimaru fight.
Their powers didn't feel unfair.
I don't really understand why the hell they allow power-levels to spiral out of control. - If it's for the money only, then it's sad.
My favorite arc in Naruto was the Sasuke retrieval arc and the first half of Shippuden was awesome but the war arc I straight up refused to ever watch beyond a certain point
Nostalgia = better according to most criticism these days. Completely ignoring all the flaws in the previous shows.
jiraiya and kurama die
Naruto until the chuunin shiken is a masterpiece.
Your title itself deserves a like
Till now , I thought I'm the only who loves naruto original is better than Shippuden 😅
Naruto’s swing had more screen time than tenten
I never watched Naruto but this was really well made. Great job
Thank you!
Please watch it , it’s amazing🔥
Great video!
Thanks!
The sasuke retrieving mission in naruto is the highest momment in naruto and shippuden history
The war arc and pain arc were best but other than this there are just sasuke related things
I agree big time. More than any of the points you brought up, though, Shippuden as a whole just doesn't interest me, cuz it's just missing that feel that part 1 had. Great video
I agree with you, I'm subscribing
10:51 what jutsu is Iruka really gonna use, lets be honest.
Lol, now that I think about it did he ever even use one?
Probably not
Shadow clone
Part 1 stick to its element and know what is was. Many people forget the chunin exams written part on how the cast use their skills and ninjustsu other than combat. We should had arcs on them using these skills for stealth missions or other things. Tenten should of been the character to be introduced ninja tools and secrets artifacts in the series.
That would've been super cool if they actually had to sneak around like ninjas.
We get from fighting strategically to flexing who has the best sharingan😂
Just the fact that the war lasts 200 ep destroys my brain. I mean why did it have to take so long. In my opinion it would be enough for the war to last 50 ep and of course those 50 ep would be great.
Exactly
It's because the fillers too, honestly same when i watch the war. Because the episode is a lot and mix with the fillers smh.
The chunin exam and the Sasuke retrieval arc are my favorites
Ive been arguing a very similar point for awhile now. And it was only obvious after I took a break and wanted to watch OG Naruto again. Reminded me why I got into it in the first place.
I love them BOTH. I think we can all agree on one thing...
You know I want to say...
the fights in og naruto was so cool and unique also the comedy in og naruto was so funny
Great video! Hope to see more in the future. I am just getting into Hunter X Hunter and I really feel it is more enjoyable than Naruto. But I can’t say it is my favorite because of the nostalgia of Naruto.
Thanks! Hunter x Hunter is a great series.
nice opinion even though naruto is the number 2 sold manga and one piece is number 1 not all people will like naruto the most
The best fights in Shippuden were better than the best fights in Part 1, in my opinion. But Part 1 was a lot more consistent whereas Shippuden had longer stretches of boring content - not counting filler of course, since you can just skip that. And that should be expected, since Part 1 is a lot shorter than Shippuden. Up until the Pain arc I think Shippuden was pretty much just as good or better, and to that point there were only slightly more canon episodes than Part 1. The longer a series stretches itself out the more likely it is that it spreads itself too thin, and that’s what happened to Shippuden in the later stages.
I completely agree
Which shippuden fight was better than Naruto vs Sasuke VotE
@@tobiramasenju6290 naruto vs pain, Kakashi vs obito Naruto vs Sasuke rematch
@@diegofranco9760 lmao. You're entitled to your opinion. EYE just happen to think you're dead wrong.
@@diegofranco9760 hell those fights don't even hold a candle to Sasuke vs Orochimaru FOD.
Needs more views
The swing Kun is a good bit
Agree with your video and Baruto came out way to soon, they should have build on the other characters before the kids were ready
wind by akeboshi will always make me tear up when i hear it.. too much nostalgia
Funnily enough, Original Naruto felt way more mature then Shippuden. It felt more consistent in its quality, it had a beautifully balanced level of grit and comedy, and it felt like such a bombastic world, and it felt like ninja’s, but most importantly, they felt *intimate*
Exactly, I think the thing kishimoto did the best with Naruto was it’s characters even the weakest insignificant characters were instresting and had their time to shine, compared to shippuden where you barely see anyone other than team 7 it’s extremely annoying because kishimoto spent so much time building up characters like neji, rock Lee, kiba, choji and plenty others but in shippuden he just shits on them, also the ninja world in og naruto felt way more ninja like, there was also a world outside the ninja world where normal people lived hence the first arc of Naruto involving a gang there was more than just ninjas out there
Original naruto is better than shippuden
Him being minatos Son was clearly planned out also the main message of the series as a whole isn’t about a lot of work overcoming natural talent it’s about breaking the cycle of hatred through understanding
I think this comment speaks volume to how people hate on “talk-no-jutsu”. I’m glad you understand what Naruto is all about
Probably correct about Minato being Naruto’s dad from the beginning. But idk why Kishimoto had to retcon Naruto’s Uzumaki clan origin.
The Uzumaki clan was all of a sudden a huge deal. They were famous for being strong af, their sealing jutsu and large amounts of chakra. Also known to be allies with Konoha by literally everyone in the world.
If this was the case, everyone should know Naruto hails from a famous clan. Pretty shitty retcon.
Breaking the cycle of hatred is the overarching message for Sasuke, not the series.
The message for Naruto and the series itself was to show relentless determination, no matter the cause. This determination was Hokage AND to help his friend Sasuke. Like Naruto said, “How can I become Hokage if I can’t even save my friend?”
@@DaFox6113 Nah
@@DaFox6113talk no justu wouldn’t be as bad if Naruto was actually saying something other than he will try really hard to reach his goals it wouldn’t be as egregious Nagato spent his entire life on his goals parents died, yahiko died, you killed your master, Konan whose right beside you and has never done you wrong but who cares about any of that this 16 year old believes in himself and that’s means more to me than my entire life’s goal. I literally couldn’t watch the show the same way after that
Part 1 of naruto was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, Shippuden was when i completely dropped the series, because kishimoto had eveything panned out at the valley of the end fight. 10/10 Y2K level writing but instead he wanted to do stupid shit by making naruto a sasukesimp on the low, the way i see it, the valley of the end was when the story should have wrapped up with sasuke doing his thing and naruto getting off of his stalker shit, THAT'S how the story should have went and it still would have worked.
You hit the nail on the head to be honest.
Great first video! There's one correction to be made. Sakura is the tritagonist, and Sasuke is the deuteragonist of the Naruto series.
I love me some Kiba and akamaru. Rock Lee is really dope to.
Naruto Shippuden was such a sad take from its original beginnings. Most of the Naruto fandom would argue that Naruto became different after the pain Arc but I would argue Naruto became different after Asuma died. Introducing pain was one of the biggest mistake Naruto could have done because it just breaks so many potholes. Why was pain not deployed sooner like why not that makes me no sense to me pain should have been deployed soon he has the ability to solo an entire village why wait. Obito being alive still was dumb cool but dumb. Just make Toby his own Uchiha I think it would have been cool to have him be his own person possibly someone that Itachi didn't account for idk Obito was very lazy and quite frankly I felt no emotional attachment when he was revealed the way him and kakashi interaction went felt so rushed that it felt fake. Or better yet Toby could have been somebody that just found Obito sharingan thus giving kakashi a reason to put him down in order to honor his friend. To have Obito show up just to go back to being a good guy was stupid. The whole war Arc was pretty much cancer to watch. Kagyua was an ass pull and last but not least Baruto was a cringe idea of a shameless cash grab.
The original series alot of side characters had character growth
I am your 200th liker
Thanks!
Personally I think the original Naruto is much better, it knew when to be serious and when to play around. Original Naruto did a good job show casing other hidden leaf Ninjas, Shippuden focus way to much on Naruto and Sasuke.
Below is good analogy is for what the shows is like
OG Naruto= Dragon Ball (All cast of characters get to shine)
Shippuden pre war arc= DBZ(Mostly Naruto and Sasuke get to shine for the most part)
Shippuden War arc to end= Dragon Ball Super (Rediiclous power ups, only Naruto and Sasuke matter and Godly beings coming out of nowhere)
Personal rating for the show
OG Naruto= 9.5/10 excluding filler
Shippuden pre war arc= 8.5/10
Shippuden War arc to end= 4/10 too rediiclous and like you said it felt like I was watching a different show at times.
Bonus
Boruto= 2/10 Garbage should not have been made sometimes things just need to end I feel the same way about DBSuper even though the Broly movie was good.
I feel like boruto is picking up, seeing as I’ve been tuned in since day one🔥
Og Naruto focus on everything. While Shippuden is all about saving Sasuke.
The og Naruto will always be better 💯 😎
Would have been nice to see what mission would have required all of Team Guy I guess we'll never know 🤷🏾♂️
I agree i subbed
Thanks!
original good job on the editing
Thanks, I worked hard on it!
I still have the 4 disc set of the very first season Naruto always and forever
Nitsua I just started watching naurto it says 2006 9 seasons will the end be naruto and hinata marrige?
