I Broke My Quad Lock On the 1 Hard Day ADV Ride!

What happens when you ride like an idiot after 6 months off the bike and not riding hard trails? Things get broken, of course!
I learnt a lot from this adventure ride this year. Firstly, my bike fitness was atrocious (probably wasn't helped by having unknowingly just caught COVID, too) and you can add all the nice bits to the bike you like but they can't make up for seat time.

Glad I wasn't the only one to admit defeat. I had a couple close calls on the challenge after Pukekawa. Definitely wouldnt attempt to ride solo in those conditions again.

Yeah man! I think I’m gonna look towards the other Moto Mapped rides with less clay after this one.

@BLKKND I was hoping to go but I’m going to be out of the country in a work trip. You’ll have to fill me in on how it goes. I’ve only heard great things!
