If u plan on bringing a pet (even a support/guide animal) double check NZ rules. Some vaccinations are required before being allowed in, they may need to be checked with a certified vet (like a doctors note) to be allowed in, they usually also need to go thru a quarantine on arrival, which can be anywhere from 10 days to half a year, so usually isn't worth it unless you plan on moving to NZ permanently. We are so strict because we are one of the few rabies free countries and already have strict biosecurity laws related to invasive species. Also we don't recognize therapy animals as being allowed in restricted spaces. Only guide/service animals are allowed. If you have a emotional support animal it won't get the same exceptions for stores, hospitals, flights, that may be allowed in America. Also a suprisingly large number of animals are illegal here, even if you went thru the admin it may be sent back home. (Hamsters, ferrets, possums, mice, rats, gineau pigs, basically any rodent, any reptile, most birds). Please dont try to sneak your animal in... last guy tried to sneak in a pet tarantula for his son got fined $10,000.
Films By J I have Keen hiking boots. I was debating whether to bring them or just a pair of comfortable sneakers on our trip to NZ next month. You’ve convinced me to bring them. Thanks!
