How's the unit running, Jojo? I've read some horror stories about one of the fittings popping off after a while because of the pressure. Also, any idea if DeepCool will supply with AM4 mounts for Ryzen?
Hey thanks for watching. Yes I heard some stories about aio leaks and explosions, nearly all brands actually - quite scary! Ever since I installed this unit it is still working fine (it has been nearly a month?). In fact I have been taking it apart and reinstalling it for my other videos too lol. It is safe to say if you want risk free go with the air coolers :) If there are any hardware problems that I purchased, I promise I will make a video about it. About the Ryzen AM4 mounts I don't think this model supports it - according to their specifications.
there is an am4 bracket on amazon for this aio. I just ordered one. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDFGKYM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1TG24VCRPTZ06
This is one of the best reviews I've ever seen. This guy takes his time to explain each and everything. Lots of light, so you see each component as it is installed. Awesome job, man!
Hi, 2 years later are you still using the cooler? If not how long did it last, I'm also considering buying one, and I've read some concerting things about the cooler.
@@woodyyyy3386 the original deepcool captain 240 had those leaking problems. this was fixed in the "EX" version. this cooler is just as safe as corsair or any other more well known brands.
I think you were hearing the air bubbles. After some time they go away. I have the red version. I know some have had issues, but after contacting DeepCool about my concerns , they assured me that if anything went wrong they would pay for it for 3 years. Mine made no sound at all when installing on my Ryzen system. 21c at idle! If it doesnt break, this brand may take over as my favorite isntead of the Corsair H100iv2's.
Mohammed Al Khozai corsair h100i v2 if you want to go with a tried and true reliable aio that has little to no chance of leaking. Its what i run, with confidence.
Lookin' nice! The fan hub came in it's bag with a zip tie, and I saw in the hub itself, in between the 2nd and 3rd connection, there is a tiny hole where you can put the zip tie and zip it to the case, that way it won't fall off like in the end of the video 😇
Hi there, took some research but I found that the white port on the fan hub is for the pump! What you did is still fine anyways but you could plug it into the fan hub if you wanted to :)
If you buy the UPDATED version of the 240ex, it comes with an am4 mounting bracket. I've heard the stories too, BUT, they have a 5 year warranty on the cooler so if it leaks they will cover you the price of the component when you bought it. So if you bought like an i7 or an i9 at launch, you get payed that price. Anyhow, good review. Probably going to buy one for my H500 and r5 2600
Nice video :) I am considering buying this cooler for my new system which will be cooling a 7700k. I have only ever used AIO's and can tell you they aren't risk free however a fail is extremely rare. In fact my current one is a very cheap AIO and I haven had any problems. Still it's not as risky as custom loop water cooling and even that is fairly safe. The noise you could hear when you first booted the system was caused by the pump running partly dry which is extremely bad and caused by mounting the radiator lower then the CPU block which forces the pump to fight gravity. I had my AIO set up in the extreme case of this problem where the radiator was mounted on the bottom of the case so every time I moved the system the block drained and I had to boot the system tilted to one side to fill it again. The noise thus went away when the pump finally drew enough water to fill the block. AIO's unlike custom loop's aren't 100% full.
Finally... A post from someone who knows what they are talking about. So many rookies out there wanting to build just for looks. Including the this jojo hack that made the video.
Nice video man I think it's normal for it to make the noise at first until the air bubbles leave. Where did you get the custom cable colours. I think the red and black cooler would have suited also but if only they did red and white instead.
+Ozzy Safa hey man, thanks for watching! I got the cables from my local store. I am sure you can find these kind of cables from your local store too or if not you can get them online from cablemod or something.
Very nice looking cooler. Really want to get it but concerned about the stories. My Antec AIO has been running constantly for 6 straight years. I'm not sure the Captain can hold up to that sort of usage... It does have a 5 year warranty though so I still may get it.
excellent video. thank you. have ordered one based on this, because i have exact same motherboard so i know its all going to fit and look nice :-) love that MSI Arctic board! Cheers
Ha! I'm not the only one with the same problem. The top right part of your LED lit circle has an area cut off by something inside so it's not perfectly round. Mine is the same, and it drives me nuts. I haven't taken mine apart yet to figure it out. They come from the factory with this defect.
I just bough the RGB version of 240 EX,and i'm will install it on a Manta case from NZXT. Glad to hear that the start noise will fade in time. Any advice with this AIO?
@jojococo studio I bought the same cpu cooler, and i'm sitting near the window, waiting for the courrier with my stuff :D anyway.. Great case and great video.. keep going on..!
When I watched your video I saw no cables, I mean not so many. Know I am trying to fix cable management problems because their are so many cables it's awful, how did you do this?
Question I have a ASUS p9x79 LE and an i7 3820 cpu would these be compatible all info I currently have say yes. Wish there was a website you could insert bloody parts in to see if they are compatible.
Waiting for mine to arrive lol, only difference being mine is going on the top of my CM storm Stryker case instead of the front :p

One more thing, Your model has 2200 rpm pump speed... Captain 360 ex model has 2800 rpm pump speed. It is possible to reduce this value? Any adjustment on bios system? not fan speed control. pump speed rpm control. ??
how did you connect the fan hub, because I saw you got 4 fans plugged into it but I heard that's too much for a fan header...Were the AIO fans 4 or 3 pin?
Hey Jojococo ! I am just wondering about the EX240 cooler, I also purchased it and used it on my new build , but now I have read there are leak issues. what is ur experience with it so far
I am considering it as well. For what it is worth, I contacted DeepCool last week. They assured me that many of the earlier problems have been worked out in the latest rgb model and that they would stand behind there product to pay for any damage to my system should a leak occur.
That is pretty cool, does the pump still working? I want to get a new PC with this cooler and wanna know :) also if you could upload with benchmarks or send me a picture of it would be nice, just to know how fast and good this thing cools things up Thanks for the video
Ты же кулеры не той стороной прикрутил. Стрелка же показывает в какую сторону дует воздух. Получается воздух не обдувает радиаторную решетку, а наоборот, от радиатора дует внутрь корпуса..
I want to buy captain 360 ex model. But Im still confused about noise of pump. :( :( How did you find solution regarding pump noise? Does captain 360 ex make noise? thanks for your reply in advance.
Technically, it's cavitation.. Not aeration. It's caused by the pump being vapor locked/not being primed. This would not happen in a better designed, higher quality system. The fact that the pump was not moving the cooling media means that you are not dissipating the heat!
Where did you connect the pump, is it on 12V directly from PSU or is it on motherboard cpu fan header? That noise is probably cause pump is not getting enough power on startup, it should be always on 12v connected via molex cable directly from PSU.
Still working! I am not sure if this matters but I have installed it the way how the product came from the box. Tubes are reaching over towards the water block... not dangling and reaching underneath the water block. If you know what I mean... or you can check out the vid again :)
looks like my PC lol black and white build about mobo, liquid cooler, vga and laughing when i see you RAM, using RED corsair kit, actually really want dominator, but my budget yahh you know laa, and cant find black corsair kit, i choose RED haha, the difference only case, im use nzxt s340, glad to see my PC's brother, thanks
Corsair has the same hoses and looks better also much better fans I recommend Corsair 240mm aioover this unless you have the money for nzxt 240 aio or a fractal design Kelvin 240

Deepcool will send AM4 mounts....
That's a good news, thanks +Sangmin Lee for the info!
Thanks for the videos and updates Jojo.. Where did the idle temp stabilize or was 30 degrees C the stable temp??? Thanks
there is an am4 bracket on amazon for this aio. I just ordered one. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDFGKYM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1TG24VCRPTZ06

those are perfect cable extensions, just look at that arch.
mine finally popped after 5 years
Oh god 5 years later I’m still using mine
Hi, 2 years later are you still using the cooler? If not how long did it last, I'm also considering buying one, and I've read some concerting things about the cooler.
me too, have you got it? read a bunch of reviews and there are a lot scary thing i heard

Mohammed Al Khozai corsair h100i v2 if you want to go with a tried and true reliable aio that has little to no chance of leaking. Its what i run, with confidence.
Nice job man, I bought this one also. You should get next the NZXT hue+ led system, will work great in that cpu, Im just loving mine.
Lookin' nice! The fan hub came in it's bag with a zip tie, and I saw in the hub itself, in between the 2nd and 3rd connection, there is a tiny hole where you can put the zip tie and zip it to the case, that way it won't fall off like in the end of the video 😇
I have this unit cooling an amd 1800x and have had no problems with it for 3 years now.
Really nice video where did you get the red & white wires at looks good in your case..Richard
Hi there, took some research but I found that the white port on the fan hub is for the pump! What you did is still fine anyways but you could plug it into the fan hub if you wanted to :)
Cuntaur Stroke
That helps. Thanks!

SO DOPE, Love the step by step and detail PC building!
the white fan connector is the PWM port that controls the speed of the other fans connected to the hub.
Nice video man I think it's normal for it to make the noise at first until the air bubbles leave. Where did you get the custom cable colours. I think the red and black cooler would have suited also but if only they did red and white instead.

What song you used at the min 13:26 ?
They have a white rgb version now
Hey joe, I just got the same motherboard. How do you like it?? Trying to get all feedback

That cooler looks beautiful!
Btw the sound you heard is Aeration. When air enters the pump, it cant pump any liquid till the air goes out
+Aurelleah Great! Thanks for letting us know
You do very good unboxings, keep it up! Subscribed
my motherboard has CPU_FAN and AIO_PUMP. do you know which headers go to what?
I'm really considering this cooler. How long did it take to get rid of the water sound you had? and are you still happy with it?
Water sound was just air bubbles. That's all. A few minutes to hours of circulating and it should be gone.
Ha! I'm not the only one with the same problem. The top right part of your LED lit circle has an area cut off by something inside so it's not perfectly round. Mine is the same, and it drives me nuts. I haven't taken mine apart yet to figure it out. They come from the factory with this defect.

What about the noise now? Can you hear the pump or fans? I'm trying to decide btw this one or h100i V2 and thermaltake 3.0...
@jojococo studio
I bought the same cpu cooler, and i'm sitting near the window, waiting
for the courrier with my stuff :D
anyway..
Great case and great video.. keep going on..!
did it leak yet?
Same here lol
Looks awesome! Always think it's such a pity when beautifully designed motherboards are completely lost underneath a huge air cooler.

The white plug, is if you're only using one or two of them, you have to put one fan in the white slot, or your motherboard will not see a CPU fan.
how did you connect the fan hub, because I saw you got 4 fans plugged into it but I heard that's too much for a fan header...Were the AIO fans 4 or 3 pin?
I was wandering, I it possible to disassamble the aio ? Coz I want to use that awesome looking pump in my existing loop, dont need the rest of it.
Do you still have that build? If so, was that orientation of your cooler ran up with problems?
Good video, I might stick around after watching some more videos.
Love your review Jojo
Hey Jojococo ! I am just wondering about the EX240 cooler, I also purchased it and used it on my new build , but now I have read there are leak issues. what is ur experience with it so far

Thanks for the video
Jojo, you sound like a cross between Anthony Jeselnik and Sir Christopher Walken
I didn't know Borat did component reviews! Very nice!
First thanks for your review! But i would recomend to put the radiator higher. The pump should never be the highest part of an AiO Cooler.
Thank you helped me a lot I am making my pc when im 15 :)
Ты же кулеры не той стороной прикрутил. Стрелка же показывает в какую сторону дует воздух. Получается воздух не обдувает радиаторную решетку, а наоборот, от радиатора дует внутрь корпуса..
Nice looking block looks like a power station from Anno or something like.
Is this working well
Your video did not show applying any Thermal paste like Arctic clean product on your CPU. I assume it is required but need to know.
The cooler already has thermal paste on it, it's pre-applied.
+jojococo studio did you have one exhaust fan or two
great build, like and subs. keep up the good work.
they should tell people about the start up noise so people don't freak lol, thx 4 the info
You are my God of PC ....
looks like your fans are pushing air through rad out front of case?
sound was air trapped in the lines/pump. takes a short while to clear through
The sound was air bubbles. It takes a while for them to settle in the radiator.
Meanwhile... you are not dissipating the heat.
Did you connect the fans to the hub thing that it came with?
120,000 hours is about 13.6 years of fully on use
Can i use this for Ryzen 7 1700 on a AM4 ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero Mainboard?
It is equivalent to which other brand model?
Is the cooler still working fine ?
I want to buy captain 360 ex model. But Im still confused about noise of pump. :( :( How did you find solution regarding pump noise? Does captain 360 ex make noise? thanks for your reply in advance.
Aeration. often happens the first time you run the pump. Just jiggle it a bit and tap it so it gets out
Technically, it's cavitation.. Not aeration. It's caused by the pump being vapor locked/not being primed. This would not happen in a better designed, higher quality system. The fact that the pump was not moving the cooling media means that you are not dissipating the heat!

Hi, how did u install the vent hub?
Where did run the cable that came out of the pump
Now I know everything thanks!
Do you have to add water when you put it all together?
Brent Moore Pretty sure not. Closed loop coolers like these should come with coolant already inside and ready for use.
can i use it for the i9 9900k lga 1151??
Its a great cooler, i just got one myself :)
Did it leak yet?
Does this come with an AM4 Bracket?
What is the GPU you're using?
Looks like the fans on the radiator are facing the wrong way no?
Oops never mind. You can do either way.
NO
Huh i had no idea watercoolers came with the water inside already.
THe tubing should go downward out from the pump or youll hear it pushing air, lucky you didnt burn out the pump.
Cool guide it was helpful
Its compatible with ryzen ?
Is it still running well ? I've just purchased one of these and read horror stories 😫
Still working! I am not sure if this matters but I have installed it the way how the product came from the box. Tubes are reaching over towards the water block... not dangling and reaching underneath the water block. If you know what I mean... or you can check out the vid again :)
Just got mine yesterday and my pump isnt working
Anyone find the switches on the extension lead satisfying?
Где ты был? Мне твой видеоролик очень был нужен. Я узнал, что я не правильно подключил помпу и не правильно поставил вентиляторы.
looks like my PC lol black and white build about mobo, liquid cooler, vga and laughing when i see you RAM, using RED corsair kit, actually really want dominator, but my budget yahh you know laa, and cant find black corsair kit, i choose RED haha, the difference only case, im use nzxt s340, glad to see my PC's brother, thanks

how do you get the water in and replace it?
You don't!! AIOs are sealed liquid cooling systems that come prefilled & you never change the fluid.
1156 compatible ?
ur voice is pleasant so i subscribed lol
Hello, the noise continuous so quiet? I have seen other videos that the sound is louder.
And at stress test, the pump makes louder noises?
well I guess I bought Thermal Paste for nothing
*very nice*

Compatible con LGA 1151 ?
No reservoir needed?
nice tak :3
Great video, I'm not sure about DEEPCOOL, but it does look like they made a quality product with this one.
No am4 support?
+jojococo studio Awesome build!!👍 great work!! A new subster here👍
omfg you have 666 subs ! I WILL CHANGE THAT !
Compatible con socket am4?
Why not go to the source for that information? There is a website called Google where you can locate the manufacturer's official site.
how much is captain 240ex white
son phung The white is currently $90. The black and red goes for about $70
Google you idiot!
They changed the glass tube to a plastic tube.
